Great pattern! I have been searching for some quick knits/crochets for Christmas gifts for neighbors and family. My gift folder is filling up with your designs. Lovely, all of them ❤
Hi! You do not have to use cotton, you can use anything else you'd prefer. I like cotton for items like this because cotton is durable, machine washable, and will absorb any liquid or condensation that gets on the runner. It also lays nicely and doesn't get fuzzy or pilly.
I'm out of yarn but as soon as I get more I really want to do this

How much yarn will be needed for the whole dine table ( runner + mat)
How long did this take you?
I worked on it off and on for 2 weeks, and it maybe me took about 6-8 hours total.
Do you have to use just cotton ?
