I think that Kens' parry button was busted lol the same happened to me but I'm on PS5. Basically, I dropped my controller one night while playing SF6, thought it was okay and I played another round. And uh well come to find out I couldn't stop drive parrying. Then round 2 I could play my character again but the drive parry wouldn't work. My L2 button was busted lol
no the 20% damage scaling nerf only applies to special moves done using the simple one button inputs modern has this also applies to supers when using the simple input however the 20% does not apply to the auto combos that modern comes with

Yeah... No. If you actually did inputs for the Specials in that "easy combo", then you'd have done more damage. The Specials continue to scale lower than 50%. But no matter what kind of super you do, they do not. So the regular 20% scaling modern has does not apply in that case.
Modern controls will ruin this game in the long run. Might as well play a mobile game instead of a real one if you need one button specials and autocombos to keep up with players with actual skill, and care more about winning than actually getting good. Mental stack and reactions are part of what makes the game hard. If you had a perfect steering option on Mario cart or an auto parry on Soulsgames you'd think that was bullshit. I play modern players once, no run back win or loss and then I blacklist them.
Just be generous to the scrubs and give them their own bracket. I don't want to play against someone with a handicap on. We're playing 2 different games.
MK1 releases on September 14. Right now I'm focused on Street Fighter 6 which is probably the greatest fighting game ever made. You should check it out.
