Tons of gold nuggets in this episode. So glad Louis had coach patino on the show. Over 40 years of leadership and competition experience he has. Amazing ! Always knew he was innocent.
This was such an amazing episode, Lewis! Love hearing from Pitino. With working in athletics here at KU, it's always fascinating to hear other professionals perspective!
absolutely love this! A message I try and get across on my psychology UA-cam channel is how we can utilise previous experience to develop our success. For me, so much of that comes from my experiences of playing competitive sports.
It's crazy how many times I hear people, specialists being amazed about how great Stephen Curry became. This is another example of greatness being achieved more through super hard work than talent.
Great story about listening to recruits and their families. I have been in sales all my professional career and listening is the key not talking. If you don't listen you don't know what they want and if you don't know what they want how the heck can you sell anything.
Great podcast! Use to follow him when I was younger and into ball but I live in a bubble now and didn't even know he was fired. Crazy. Really liked the part about listening to families during recruitment.
Rick was blacked balled out! This guy does not nor did not pay any player, a entity that goes by the 3 letter word is the corruption (A.A.U) they want these kids to go to the brand that the team represents for profit of sells! Adidas, Nike, Under armor etc are all corrupt! Get AAU out of school or pay the players, follow the money you’ll find your shithead. This guy in invented full court press, fast pace ball! He has been in the game for forty years, not one bullshit incident until Adidas, Nike etc came to the schools you started to see top tier couches started being the escape got for top teams, like I said follow the money! Don’t be a sheep these AAU entity’s are the corrupt. This guys resume speaks for itself!
Good interview, i just don't like to see him act holier than thou...accountability is a part of leadership too, and I haven't seen him take any for all the mess that went on at Louisville...
Best coach/teacher that's ever led my city's college team. Every interview for 16 years were informative and honest.
"Failure is fertilizer." Great quote...
Awesome! One of the best college coaches ever!! His full court press and defense is awesome!!
