What made Tig receive so much hate, was 2 things basically…. His profound delusion of thinking he was on the brink of the PGA was absolutely ridiculous. His shot dispersion is literally 250 yards, left, and right. That won’t even win you a local tournament, unless the course is a gigantic cow pasture. The other thing is the man bun. A choice THAT bold is reserved for elite athletes, or elite personalities. A regular person trying to pull that off is begging for ridicule. You have to be extremely full of yourself to try and pull that off. Do I think Micah is genuinely a good person? Absolutely. Do I think he’s a pretty good golfer? Absolutely. Listen…. I’m confident that I can win against my buddies, if I’m having a good day. But, I’m far from Tour quality, and I own that. I’m self-aware enough to know where I rank. I’m also a fairly decent looking guy. But again… I’m not “striking” enough to sport a man bun, and I’m definitely fine with that, too. lol. I’m not sure why, but I just think Tig’s self awareness is off somehow. I think as he gets older, he’ll figure out his “lane”. It’s perfectly fine to be confident, and try to excel in your “lane”. But, trying to portray yourself ABOVE that lane is VERY obvious to people, and it’s very cringy. Unless you’re someone like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, or Prince, there’s wayyy more room for humility, than there is cockiness. You have to realize what tier that you’re on in life. Just as soon as you try to portray yourself above that tier, people are gonna call you out on it. It kinda reminds me of Vanilla Ice, back in the day. It was laughable how cool he tried to be. ALWAYS lean toward the side of humbleness. It makes you much more likable, especially in the world of UA-cam.
I literally watch them all. Micah, Grant, Garrett, Good Good, Luke, Bob Does Sports, Four Play, BustaNut, Bryan Bros. You name it. I can care less about who left who or what Brand they are with. I am a Taylormade person myself and my best ball partner is a Callaway guy. We know each other's games and can help. What does the stick in the hand have to do with it. Play well and you can compete
I’m not a Micah hater. I used to watch most all of his stuff after he left Good Good, which for the record didn’t bother me at all. But a few thoughts… 1. I think Micah making his pro aspirations very public and then when he realized it was a swing and a miss started back-pedaling, almost making fun of the people who believed him and making it sound like he never was trying to go pro. 2. For me, I feel like Micah can get a little bit whiny for my taste at times. I think it especially comes out in the collar videos when people start chirping him. He can’t handle it well. 3. I honestly just feel that his individual content has been on a massive downhill slide from a quality perspective. I’m sure that Micah is a very nice guy and I have nothing against him. Just some thoughts.

Guys, I know we all get critical sometimes of youtube golf content and some of the personalities. Hell a couple of days ago I said Ben Hadden was a boring watch and I regret saying that because he is a cool cat and shouldn't be judged because he doesn't have a big bold personality. But the bottomline is dudes in their 20s are helping expand and grow the game we all love for the future generations. Jack Nicklaus a few years ago said pro golf is the best its ever been but amateur golf is slipping. Well these guys are making golf seem cool for the younger generation. Plus they are all super nice guys. They could be like other content creators and do stupid stunts or stupid pranks but are instead doing something sensible and worthwhile. Lets all take a step back and look at the positives that have could from UA-cam golf the past couple of years instead of the few nitpicky negatives from time to time
Being the guy who stood behind Micah when he hit those bombs , I will say I don’t get the HATE. The guy flat out has talent, to hit those ball speeds is insane & obv in person it’s even more amazing to see. PLUS I think he’s a nice guy to go with it. Nice upload fella, good points made 👊🏻👍🏻

I’ve played against Micah. Been out driven by Micah (like pretty much everyone on Earth). He is a good dude. His wife “camera lady” is sweet. His caddie and his wife are great as well. I like Micah. But he can rub anyone the wrong way at times. Dude has an amazing 175-225 game. Insane speed. But then his videos were full of irons off the tree and a rubbish short game. I wouldn't say he lacks humility, but the constant content towards tournament play was just annoying. There was an elephant in the room and the longer he took to address it, brought the hate.

The problem is micah and grant were perfect with good good. They were REALLY good golfers paired with the entertainment value of good good. Once they left Luke Kwon was the best golfer and became a villain because he was so much better and it wasn't fair to Luke. Then good good started bringing in other talented golfers who didn't seem to fit the fun loving entertainment value. It is a situation of they can all be successful on their own but it was just so much better when they were together.

Callaway absolutely needs to copy Taylormade with this style of media days. Let channels come up with a video and film something. A good good major would probably be too much but I’m sure they could come up with something fun.
I think it’s been pretty similar in the past. Good Good had several pros jumping in to play 3 holes each. The Taylormade pros played 4 holes with Grant. Not sure what happened this year, since there hasn’t been as much content from Good Good.

I will say that I think Micah is a good guy but I don’t watch his content. It was nice when he was with good good that the other personalities brought out his along with him also playing good golf. But now it’s just not super entertaining. If I want to watch good golf I’ll watch the pros, if I want to watch relatable content I’ll watch good good or other content creators.
For everyone hating on Micah he sure gets a lot of UA-cam views. I’ve noticed that since he left GG. And all of the negative comments and hate comments are 100% GG fans. The GG Facebook group is 1 of 2 things…hate for Grant and Micah or a giant circle jerk for any member still with GG and it’s honestly turned me away from GG content. I watch GM Golf way more than GG. So in the great and powerful words of Joe Rogan, don’t read the comments. 😂

Callaway absolutely needs to copy Taylormade with this style of media days. Let channels come up with a video and film something. A good good major would probably be too much but I’m sure they could come up with something fun.
I think it’s been pretty similar in the past. Good Good had several pros jumping in to play 3 holes each. The Taylormade pros played 4 holes with Grant. Not sure what happened this year, since there hasn’t been as much content from Good Good.

I will say that I think Micah is a good guy but I don’t watch his content. It was nice when he was with good good that the other personalities brought out his along with him also playing good golf. But now it’s just not super entertaining. If I want to watch good golf I’ll watch the pros, if I want to watch relatable content I’ll watch good good or other content creators.
For everyone hating on Micah he sure gets a lot of UA-cam views. I’ve noticed that since he left GG. And all of the negative comments and hate comments are 100% GG fans. The GG Facebook group is 1 of 2 things…hate for Grant and Micah or a giant circle jerk for any member still with GG and it’s honestly turned me away from GG content. I watch GM Golf way more than GG. So in the great and powerful words of Joe Rogan, don’t read the comments. 😂

While I agree with your comments on ignoring trolls, cancel culture, haters etc. (and also that people can change their mind on someone, I originally didn't like Grant and now I love the guy, I just took the time to listen and watch), it is good to remember that "woke" never was meant to be any of those things. It meant "awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights" Associating woke with trolls and hate, is part of a certain political class agenda with the purpose of winning elections. My 2cts :-)
