I should have said this before, but I really appreciate you showing us these touching moments Dran. I don't know if you have a flare for the dramatic, or if you purposely just go out to seek these moments because you're attracted to them, but you do an amazing job Dran. Thanks. Today was tough, Ill be honest, I thought I was doing well with the graduation stream until the letter reading from Towa, and the last one from Kanata really got to me. Then I switched over to Mikos stream and her dragon story turned on the water works again, lol. Watames stream was just the nail in the coffin so I put myself to make some clips, its a nice way to remember the touching friendship shared by these girls and also cathartic for me… I guess Ill be looking for more such moments as we all take a couple of days to settle, and we’ll hopefully get back to our regularly scheduled teetee ;)

Sure, Coco still lives with Kanata, they can visit her whenever they want, but their responsibilities do keep them apart; it was so much easier when they were all working together, but now they cannot spend the same amount of time, they cnanot easily play together, they cannot build together unless they make their own private server, but that will mean less time streaming or making more time outside of hololive work. They can do it, it will just be harder. Hopefully, everything goes back to normalcy and new and exciting things will catch our attention. Until then... please, take care of yourselves everyone, it will still hurt, but life goes on... let us live a great and happy life in kaichou's name and memory.
For me, its less about the loss of Coco (lets be honest, we all know where to find her other channel on YT, and many of us have already checked out her Mildom streams), but its about the loss of the on-stream chemistry and dicking about with all her Holo-mates. We don’t get to see her nag about Kanata piling food she doesnt like on Coco’s plate. We no longer get to see Coco scream “Dekosuke yarou!” At Senchou. We dont get to see her build stuff on the HoloMinecraft server and fall off ladders, do meme reviews with any of the girls, or act goofy, irreverent and risque on call-ins and birthday streams. It feels like your favorite music groups lead singer is off to do a solo career… and there is that sense of loss, even though they aren’t really gone. But that is what it means to be an oshi, you support them even past their graduation, and as Hololive fans it is something you have to get used to, because most of the girls, sooner or later, will most likely graduate. Even in that, Kaichou is a pioneer, as a parting gift she has taught us how to let go.

I dunno man, job isn't the only thing that connects them, they are friends now. Do you drift apart from your friends just because you don't work at the same place? That's usually not the case. We know they were doing tons of non work related stuff together, if they had time to o it then then they surely will have time to hang out now.

the scariest and saddest part of this is that it’s *real* these girls won’t be around forever as hololive idols. we’re gonna go through this same thing … what, 30+ times at some point in the future and that number will only increase. the reality of someone like coco graduating is that we need to cherish the moments we have with these content creators that we love so much. smile while we can, laugh while we can, create inside jokes and hear them sing while we can. just have fun while we can. yagoo did something super cool in giving all of these girls voices, and loving them is the greatest way to show support. obviously we loved coco incredibly deeply, and her situation is far from simple, but love is really what will drive hololive from now on and for however long it lasts. smile now, cry later, love and cherish forever. that’s the code for hololive from now on. love them as much as possible so that when the time comes (given they really *arent* eternal idols) to say goodbye we can cry sad tears that are full of the love we have for them.
"Maybe its ok now, to not be strong anymore." I remember when I was in elementary school my uncle died at the young age of 21, we went to his highschool graduation and everything. After he passed me my brothers and cousin all sat in my grandma's house quietly and I think we were all saying those exact same words in our heads because after a few short seconds we all started crying like crazy. I know that coco leaving isn't like dealing with the death of a loved one but losing anybody in general is a terrible feeling. The way that watame was feeling just triggered those memories so I felt like sharing. If you made it this far I hope you have a great rest of your day.
The past month has been rough but today was… something else. I woke up, certain that I would be able to handle Coco’s graduation, then Towa and Kanata broke me. I don’t think I’ve ever shed this many tears before… Seeing these girls cry during their streams isn’t making me feel any better but watching Watame in such state made me realize just what a fantastic experience this rabbit hole really is. Here I am, in the middle of the night, crying while watching this wholesome sheep being sad, because I care for them. I want them to be happy and smile, to have a great time while they stream… It is kinda heartbreaking to see Watame like this but it is understanable. Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day. Also, after reading a certain comment, I too would like to say thank you to Dran. It’s easy to take the work you and all the clippers and translators do for granted. Watame... I've never actually watched her without her collabing with someone else until just now. Bless her big heart. I know what's she's going through. tbh, I never watched Coco much either but I knew who she was, how much she meant to the others and enjoyed her interactions with others. And to see her have this much of an emotional impact for her graduation, and it affect me as much as it has (even though I've never once had a membership to her channel or watched any content aside from her %hitP0$t reivews, I can only imagine what the others are feeling. I hope everyone puts aside their fandom for just a little bit (because I've been seeing WAY TOO MUCH OF IT tbh) and remember these girls are going through a tough transition. Ngl sometimes I click on these types of videos when I need a good cry, or to regain some faith in humanity. It's therapeutic to know that there are still people out there that would give you the food off their plate even if it meant they'd go hungry instead. If only everyone was like Watame.

i really wish I could give everyone a hug.. i watched alot of the lives after coco's grad, and I cried over and over. I was already sleep deprived. but I really wanted to support them with all I had on that day.
I couldn’t explain how I felt about hololive for a long time, yet your comment gave me the perfect word. Family. Hololive is a family. The good of a family, and the bad. They’re close, and always ready to support each other, but there’s some stuff behind closed doors that can really affect the outward presentation of the family. Sorry, I’m rambling.
Watame's voice was so powerful during that final 3D live. I was blown away. She really gave 100% until the end. This whole thing made me realize that Hololive isn't just a thing I watch. They're people I love.
I think the most painful part to me was listening to Kanata's letter and the worries she has about herself, along with how painful I know it'd be for Coco to hear those doubts, too.

Here again after her 2nd live concert in Tokyo. Her goal to improve and gather more fans has been realized. Yesterday watching the concert hearing the roar of the crowd, seeing a sold out arena packed like sardines with people shoulder to shoulder. She really did it.

I wish Hololive would make it so that vtubers who 'graduate' in good standing with the company could come back and visit. Even non-Hololive vtubers are sometimes allowed to do collabs with Hololive vtubers.
It's never been much of an issue to collab with people outside of Hololive if you watch some of the girls on the JP side. Specifically holo's like Towa and Choco. The problem is that Coco graduated, so she won't be back, anytime soon. She walked put the door, and did not sign up for another contract to keep streaming as the one and true Coco that we all know and love. I think, however, that in Coco's recent talks with Yagoo that her and Cover have kept the door open for possible events in the future. As a special event or something. But right now, though, I think everyone just needs to come to grips of the realization that Coco is moving on from Hololive and into her own path now.
@@jreedzz3737 Exactly, I wouldn't say this is impossible. Her very own status as an "alumni" already teases towards that. Plus, her archives are staying. From a corporate standpoint, there is no reason whatsoever to prevent this. The only reason Cover could hesitate to commit now is due to the fact that everyone knows who Coco's real identity is and she will keep an internet presence, so keeping the possibility without a promise is smarter on the off chance she gets embroiled in some big controversy or her activities on her own channel start clashing with Hololive standards. But given Coco's usual behaviour, I don't sew controversies popping up, so I am honestly optimistic.

Coco wants to do things her own way now, without interference or guidelines by anyone, or anything or by any corporation. She's fully independent now and she wants to stay that way. Sure, the possibility of Coco going back to Cover as Kiryu Coco again is not 0, but it's not in the cards for her. Cover is not going to take down her archives because that would be suicidal and cause alot of fan backlash. Plus Coco already talked it over with Cover to keep everything up on her channel. Plus, you're mistaken about Coco's real personality. The reason why Coco couldn't do shows like Asococo or any other variety shows is because Cover forbid it, and it wasn't in line with their "idol" policy. Coco wants to be more than that. She wants to be a personality. That's why it lead to conflicts between her and Cover's management and that is part of the reason we know why she left. The rest we do not know, but we do know that Coco wants to be her own woman now with her own dreams and goals. Also, I'm going to give you a little bit of advice here. Don't ever refer to a holomember as their "real identity" on other sites or message boards. That's not the correct way of referring to them. You refer to them as their roommate. It's alot more polite and tactful that way.

I am 100% sure she is not rejoining Hololive - hell, she even has her own vtuber model already and plenty of popularity on her mildom and other YT channel. She yearned freedom above all and she already built a structure to continue doing her thing (and possibly more, who knows what crazy stuff she might come up with - maybe a vtuber agency or some streamer support company). What I was alluding to was the possibility of her returning as a GUEST member on very specific special occasions, as there is nothing preventing her from doing so, and she mentioned Yagoo was open to the idea (though speaking for himself, not for Cover). Normally a myriad of reasons would prevent this, like bad blood upon parting, or the person really wanting to move on from the character and not revisit it, or even a fear of new opportunities of beind doxed, but I don't see any of those being problems in this case. I also know about everything you are talking about. I know how restrictive Hololive was of Coco (and Haachama as well, by the way) because of their lack of corporate backbone, something very typical of japanese companies. I know how managers treated Coco a bit poorly. As for the word "roommate", which seems to indicate your hangout of choice is probably /vt/, there is no point in doing so for Coco. She is not only already leaving Hololive, as well as her identity in particular is almost as secret as Tamaki's. Plus, she has an actual roommate, so I would prefer to avoid people mistaking her for Kanatan on my posts.

We all mourn loss in our own way, but we do need to mourn. Loss also comes in all shapes and sizes from something as heavy as death to something as common as change. So, never apologize for the tears you shed when dealing with loss.

Even tho due to timezones I miss alot of hololive streams the clips I do get are amazing to see and the love the girls and community have for one another is just so wonderful. I know a lot of people said, including myself at some point "but hey! They can still see each other so it will be fine."... Not really.. how to explain this properly..: It is somewhat comparable to any other company or job or even hobby you do with somebody who is really close to you, you consider that person a friend or even family. You work or do things with that kind heart person almost every day in the same job or company or hobby. But then one day Your friend decided to take another path and leaves on their own terms.... It leaves a void for a very long time for some people. Yes! you can still see each other and have a laugh or go out or do whatever, but working at the Job or company, or doing your beloved hobby, no longer feels the same, because that friend is no longer part of it. Some can cope with this relatively easy, some cannot. It takes time to heal, getting over the sadness until all that is left are the precious memories you have made with them is something that can take a very long time. All we can do right now is cherishing the person and their memories (aka Coco) and keeping up the support and love we show all those wonderful people who are still part of Hololive, aswell as the people who were close to her or the ones who still hold her in such high regards, letting them know that the memories we made and still make with them are just as meaningful as the ones from the one who branched of and decided to walk on a different path.
I thought I was done crying for the day, but I realize now that this is gonna sting for a while longer. Coco lit a fire within us all, it's just gonna be a little while before the burn stops hurting. Thanks for the wonderful clips.

The past month has been rough but today was… something else. I woke up, certain that I would be able to handle Coco’s graduation, then Towa and Kanata broke me. I don’t think I’ve ever shed this many tears before… Seeing these girls cry during their streams isn’t making me feel any better but watching Watame in such state made me realize just what a fantastic experience this rabbit hole really is. Here I am, in the middle of the night, crying while watching this wholesome sheep being sad, because I care for them. I want them to be happy and smile, to have a great time while they stream… It is kinda heartbreaking to see Watame like this but it is understanable. Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day.
Also, after reading a certain comment, I too would like to say thank you to Dran. It’s easy to take the work you and all the clippers and translators do for granted. I really enjoy your content and I am grateful that you bring moments like this some attention.

Watame... I've never actually watched her without her collabing with someone else until just now. Bless her big heart. I know what's she's going through. tbh, I never watched Coco much either but I knew who she was, how much she meant to the others and enjoyed her interactions with others. And to see her have this much of an emotional impact for her graduation, and it affect me as much as it has (even though I've never once had a membership to her channel or watched any content aside from her %hitP0$t reivews, I can only imagine what the others are feeling.
I hope everyone puts aside their fandom for just a little bit (because I've been seeing WAY TOO MUCH OF IT tbh) and remember these girls are going through a tough transition. They need our love, understanding and PATIENCE as they figure out how THEY'RE going to move ahead. NOT how we are going to make them move ahead. Okay? We owe them that much... Here again after her 2nd live concert in Tokyo. Her goal to improve and gather more fans has been realized. Yesterday watching the concert hearing the roar of the crowd, seeing a sold out arena packed like sardines with people shoulder to shoulder. She really did it.

I wish Hololive would make it so that vtubers who 'graduate' in good standing with the company could come back and visit. Even non-Hololive vtubers are sometimes allowed to do collabs with Hololive vtubers.
There is a possibility this might happen with Coco.
It's never been much of an issue to collab with people outside of Hololive if you watch some of the girls on the JP side. Specifically holo's like Towa and Choco.
The problem is that Coco graduated, so she won't be back, anytime soon. She walked put the door, and did not sign up for another contract to keep streaming as the one and true Coco that we all know and love. I think, however, that in Coco's recent talks with Yagoo that her and Cover have kept the door open for possible events in the future. As a special event or something.
But right now, though, I think everyone just needs to come to grips of the realization that Coco is moving on from Hololive and into her own path now.
@@jreedzz3737 Exactly, I wouldn't say this is impossible. Her very own status as an "alumni" already teases towards that. Plus, her archives are staying. From a corporate standpoint, there is no reason whatsoever to prevent this. The only reason Cover could hesitate to commit now is due to the fact that everyone knows who Coco's real identity is and she will keep an internet presence, so keeping the possibility without a promise is smarter on the off chance she gets embroiled in some big controversy or her activities on her own channel start clashing with Hololive standards. But given Coco's usual behaviour, I don't sew controversies popping up, so I am honestly optimistic.

Coco wants to do things her own way now, without interference or guidelines by anyone, or anything or by any corporation. She's fully independent now and she wants to stay that way. Sure, the possibility of Coco going back to Cover as Kiryu Coco again is not 0, but it's not in the cards for her.
Cover is not going to take down her archives because that would be suicidal and cause alot of fan backlash. Plus Coco already talked it over with Cover to keep everything up on her channel. Plus, you're mistaken about Coco's real personality. The reason why Coco couldn't do shows like Asococo or any other variety shows is because Cover forbid it, and it wasn't in line with their "idol" policy. Coco wants to be more than that. She wants to be a personality. That's why it lead to conflicts between her and Cover's management and that is part of the reason we know why she left. The rest we do not know, but we do know that Coco wants to be her own woman now with her own dreams and goals.
Also, I'm going to give you a little bit of advice here. Don't ever refer to a holomember as their "real identity" on other sites or message boards. That's not the correct way of referring to them. You refer to them as their roommate. It's alot more polite and tactful that way.

I am 100% sure she is not rejoining Hololive - hell, she even has her own vtuber model already and plenty of popularity on her mildom and other YT channel. She yearned freedom above all and she already built a structure to continue doing her thing (and possibly more, who knows what crazy stuff she might come up with - maybe a vtuber agency or some streamer support company).
What I was alluding to was the possibility of her returning as a GUEST member on very specific special occasions, as there is nothing preventing her from doing so, and she mentioned Yagoo was open to the idea (though speaking for himself, not for Cover). Normally a myriad of reasons would prevent this, like bad blood upon parting, or the person really wanting to move on from the character and not revisit it, or even a fear of new opportunities of beind doxed, but I don't see any of those being problems in this case.
I also know about everything you are talking about. I know how restrictive Hololive was of Coco (and Haachama as well, by the way) because of their lack of corporate backbone, something very typical of japanese companies. I know how managers treated Coco a bit poorly.
As for the word "roommate", which seems to indicate your hangout of choice is probably /vt/, there is no point in doing so for Coco. She is not only already leaving Hololive, as well as her identity in particular is almost as secret as Tamaki's. Plus, she has an actual roommate, so I would prefer to avoid people mistaking her for Kanatan on my posts.

I know a lot of people said, including myself at some point "but hey! They can still see each other so it will be fine."... Not really.. how to explain this properly..:
It is somewhat comparable to any other company or job or even hobby you do with somebody who is really close to you, you consider that person a friend or even family. You work or do things with that kind heart person almost every day in the same job or company or hobby.
But then one day Your friend decided to take another path and leaves on their own terms.... It leaves a void for a very long time for some people. Yes! you can still see each other and have a laugh or go out or do whatever, but working at the Job or company, or doing your beloved hobby, no longer feels the same, because that friend is no longer part of it.
Some can cope with this relatively easy, some cannot. It takes time to heal, getting over the sadness until all that is left are the precious memories you have made with them is something that can take a very long time.
All we can do right now is cherishing the person and their memories (aka Coco) and keeping up the support and love we show all those wonderful people who are still part of Hololive, aswell as the people who were close to her or the ones who still hold her in such high regards, letting them know that the memories we made and still make with them are just as meaningful as the ones from the one who branched of and decided to walk on a different path.
Can I just cry here guys.... I discovered coco too late back then... I just missed her everything...
