I would say out of respect for God and the Pastor, I am the daughter of a Minister and my Father corrected our dress code before we walked out the door. But today, I think him for it. A lady at church told me one day (when I was in my 30’s) that my dress was too short. I politely told her that this is where my husband like my dresses. She said oh no. The clothes that I have seen women ministers wear and even First Ladies wear is truly not representing God or the person they maybe married too. I always make sure that God dresses me even when I have to wear my collar. All I can say is,Lord bless them anyhow 😂

My family called it “representing the family unit”. My life partner before he passed away we were very conscientious of how we dressed because in order to garner respect, you had to look respectful. Oh my goodness, our prayer group just had this conversation about what we wear as it comes to church clothes. The church mothers of old will cover you up and tell you nicely about how you are dressed. I remember back in the day I was told about wearing something without sleeves, because as a single older woman I will not go to church service without covering up my arms, and just has become a way of life with me. But, I do wear a tank top but you can just believe it covers up the important parts.
I randomly chose a movie titled, “Lamb” [2021] from the Showtime selection. The director is
Valdimar Jóhannsson. I have watched thousands of flicks over the years but this one is in a class all by itself. Donna, you and your husband are analytical thinkers so this feature film will have you in deep conversation with each other. It starts off a bit slow but once it gains momentum… 😳It is worth the watch.

Interesting!! In the bible, it describes John as looking like a caveman and eating bugs. Solomon, one of the wealthiest!! I'm sure his attire of his time was fire!! The high priest dressed well, so we'll you knew who they were and their wealth!! (Gems on their chest plate) None of these looked like your average person! We can go on and on about attire!! What's troublesome for me is that people (some) step out of line and think they have the right to check folks who God has put in authority!! God knows that person better than any of us do!! But we check them!! God can correct His folks better than any of us!! The difference is God will do it with love, folks do it in judgment!! So, what happens if you go to the beach, the pool, etc...???? This very same thing happened to me!! I have a gold diamond eyebrow ring and at that time I had a faux hawk hair style. (Classy) cut!! My dress always been chic business attire!! A person of leadership said to me, "What do you think when people see your hair and piercing, do I think it's appropriate?" I immediately realized this person was judging me based on what they would consider (church-worthy)!! I told them, There are people that look just like me that want to know God!! Piercing, faux hawks, Mohawk, long hair, bald head, jeans, short, tattoos etc.....I thought the focus was saving souls!!?? Their attire was the church suits, big hats, (churchy)!! The shiny church suits and big hats never appealed to me!! There are levels of authority in the ministry that's there for a reason and to keep order!! If it's okay with her husband who's in leadership, Ah, what?, who? You said.......what? No one's listening!!!! Get back in line!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!!!

I thought the dress was cute on you! I didn’t think that it was too short on you! I’ve seen some people wear shorts and dresses way shorter than what you were wearing! You weren’t showing your butt or butt checks and you’re were wearing it very well. Hydration is important. I was dehydrated a few weeks ago and didn’t realize it until I laid down because I was so tired and couldn’t get up because I was so dizzy. So yes, drink plenty of water, not cold water, the body processes room temperature water better.
