A lady at church told me one day (when I was in my 30’s) that my dress was too short. I politely told her that this is where my husband like my dresses. She said oh no. I call my husband over to her and said. Please tell Sister this is where you like my dresses. Absolutely he confirmed and she got quiet 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Mrs. Donna you don't have to justify your code of dress to anyone, as long as you and your husband is okay with it that's all that matters. I never knew that a first lady

Hello and no disrespect. We say First Lady but the First Lady was Eve. I would say out of respect for God and the Pastor, I am the daughter of a Minister and my Father corrected our dress code before we walked out the door. But today, I think him for it. To me it does matter how a Pastors wife or any women goes out dressed, it represents who you are and how you want to be respected. God Bless you all 🙏🏾❤️🔥

Oh my goodness, our prayer group just had this conversation about what we wear as it comes to church clothes. The church mothers of old will cover you up and tell you nicely about how you are dressed. I remember back in the day I was told about wearing something without sleeves, because as a single older woman I will not go to church service without covering up my arms, and just has become a way of life with me. But, I do wear a tank top but you can just believe it covers up the important parts.

My family called it “representing the family unit”. My life partner before he passed away we were very conscientious of how we dressed because in order to garner respect, you had to look respectful. Yes, that included respectfully sexy. 😂, I had to help him get rid of his leisure suits, have mercy those things wore me out. Hydration is important. I was dehydrated a few weeks ago and didn’t realize it until I laid down because I was so tired and couldn’t get up because I was so dizzy. So yes, drink plenty of water, not cold water, the body processes room temperature water better.

I randomly chose a movie titled, “Lamb” [2021] from the Showtime selection. The director is
Valdimar Jóhannsson. I have watched thousands of flicks over the years but this one is in a class all by itself. Donna, you and your husband are analytical thinkers so this feature film will have you in deep conversation with each other. It starts off a bit slow but once it gains momentum… 😳It is worth the watch.
I was taught to leave "some things to their imagination ", therefore I believe in dressing appropriately when outside. Mrs. Donna, you are always dressed appropriately. This was a great "teachable moment" that many need to hear and adapt to.

Donna and Robert. It is important to not be too familiar (I like that word) with each other. I used to always dress nicely for work or church. Now that I work from home, my appearance has changed. My husband will let me know if he does not like how I am looking and not in a mean way. I don't have to get dressed up, but I do need to consider how I look around him. My husband likes to dress nice and he wants me to look nice. Yes, we all have days when we want to wear those raggedy sweats. I can't take 36 years of marriage for granted. Thanks for sharing.
