Can't beat them for cabinet finish .i own the academy serendipity they are a little wife annoying because of size but oh well they sound much better than a moaning wife .
I've four Sonus Faber Electa's purchased at a local thrift store. They were covered in white paint and needed new grilles. After stripping off the paint, refinishing them and applying new grille cloth, I was astounded by the clarity and soundstage these speakers presented. I'll be holding on to these gems for sure. Not a bad purchase for $30 for the whole lot!😁

Io ho ancora l'impostazione fino agli anni 90 Posseggo delle GBL TLX 60; Infinity 21i; Bose 301 Series IV; Technics SB-CS60 e altre che non ricordo, un paio da pavimento. Tutte datate ma perfettamente funzionanti e che non sostituirei mai. Poi nel 2006 ho acquistato le nuovissime Indiana Line HC-206 che effettivamente già dimostravano il passo in avanti rispetto alle GBL o alle Infinity, o ancora meglio rispetto alle Technics. Sono molto più piccole pur potendo essere pilotate da amplificatori della stessa potenza che uso per gli altri diffusori di dimensioni doppie. Sto guardando da diversi mesi diverse recensioni dei diffusori di nuova generazione, da scaffale, piccoli, pesanti e molto performanti. Esteticamente accattivanti e minimalisti, molto belli. Certo non costano 2 €....
@@Toki1908 I had Mcintosh MA5200 and Sonus faber Ceremona M , with ma5200 the bass was loose and top was dark, but after changing amplifier to Graaf-GM50b the bass become tighter and top is wide open and not shy any more, overall the sound become more live and transparent, the difference is like night and day.
Hi Pietro, McIntosh & Sonus faber is a great match, very musical. However, I think that Minima Amator 2 & MA252 sounds to warm. I have Minima Amator 2 and I love their detailed and polished sound, match them with a more neutral, lean amplifier and they sound magical. 😊
Both are phenomenal speakers. Sound wise, these are a slight notch up, but it’s slight. What you’re really paying for here is the stunning walnut cabinets. No comparison, these are superior in every way when it comes to artistry, and they look more expensive than they actually are, as hard to believe as that may be!
Listening with headphones, but what a beautiful sound! This is maybe pushing it but does someone have heard the LS50 Meta to give a quick comparison, if at all possible? Would it be a big step up or would you say: can't compare, this is a different category.

These SF create a layer of magic, something difficult to explain but the goosebumps I had may explain it all, more laidback and natural, they disappear, it’s only music. In that case you should've bought a bigger speaker with higher efficiency. 2. Also, each speaker has a rated power handling, *CONTINUOUS and PEAK* If you don't stay within that range..yeah, they'll blow.
