Natalya Simonova is my favorite "Bond Girl" precisely because she _isn't_ a Bond Girl, at least until they get to "Cuba". She's an office/tech worker, living the life of an office/tech worker, dealing with an annoying techbro for a boss, and suddenly her entire world explodes and she's left alone in the middle of the wilderness to deal with that. Being an office/tech worker myself, taking after my mom and seeing her life and those of the women around me in the various offices I've worked in, I can't personally relate with her experience but I can definitely vibe with her. In fact, _GoldenEye_ is my favorite Bond movie _because_ I've taken to watching it as _her_ story, more so than Bond's.
I just watched a different interview from the same press cycle, and this one's so much better. That one, the dude was just so thirsty and his questions were so inane. This interviewer asks much more interesting questions. (They both talked about the feeling of danger, but I think she's the one who brought it up in the other one.)
interesting that they show the pre-interview prep, and the whole ting from the reverse angle. Can't be Algorithm-friendly, with few people feeling like watching the whole thing again, but it's a nice pull-back-the-curtain kind of thing that I appreciate. So here's some Engagement, and watching the thing all the way through, to appease The Algorithm.
Of course they wouldn't show the Bond movies "behind the Iron Curtain", any more than we in the imperialist West got to see Soviet Cold War propaganda movies.

She handled this interview well, almost dug herself in a hole but hopped right out. I'm just glad she's still incredibly beautiful haha js
