I have enjoyed hearing Andy play in many towns and cities, in Manchester, Liverpool, Chorley, Lancaster, Preston, even Skipton I think. He plays modern music in the only way I seem to be able to enjoy it. My preferred music spans from 1500 to 1949 but this gentleman has a special gift and we are lucky to be able to appreciate it. What I cannot understand is the couple who enjoyed his performance enough to give a donation but offered no applause, he gets a donation and a clap from me, wrestling with my walking sticks or not. What people often do not realise is that many of the stars we have seen on the screen or on stage over the years have done a stint of busking and it is not unknown for some musicians to busk just for the fun of the difference. In the period so far of this pandemic I woud not be surprised if many a non-funded entertainer has resorted to busking. I have never been to Blackpool and not heard Andy when the weather allows. He will have given many people much happiness. Thank you VFC for enabling us to enjoy that today. :-)

Please forgive me for sneaking into your comment thread my Cherub . . . I cannot resist of course! I used to enjoy the buskers, jugglers and opera singers in the developed Covent Garden market. I also used to enjoy the buskers in the connecting tunnels of the underground/tube stations. You will have enjoyed similar in your world travels. I heard wonderful violin music in Rome but I would have enjoyed accordianists in the atists quarter in Paris [Mmtre] I am recovering from my fall and walking almost unaided indoors but yet to enter the wide world! My sojourn to my son's lasted slightly longer than I intended,as I required his words and wisdom regarding personal issues! (although we did have a laugh too). I have seen alot when I use to live in Blackpool, he is such a lovely xhap and certainly knows how to play his guitar. I do wonder do, since this video I have noticed he is featured in other videos without his dog and wonder if he no longer has a dog anymore? Hope he is well. Keep up the great week Jane.

I remember this guy playing here back in 1990. He's had almost the same spot for three decades.
Indeed. I remember him playing there when we both were young men. I am sure he goes back to the early 80s.
