Your videos are great and definitely helped me whenever I get stuck with my carbie. After watching quite a few of your videos and inspecting my carb properly I’ve realized I might need your help to rebuild mine. I’m in Cape Town, SA, please let me know if you can assist. I would really appreciate it 😁👍🏼
Hi. Really appreciate your vids. I am running a Weber 38 on a 3.5 V8 rover with 210 airs and 55 mains. Engine is the old 8.13:1 compression and fuel consumption is horrendous. Looking at 4km/ltr. Did some calculations and the CFM of the weber 38 is 350 CFM so is better suited to the 3.9/4 ltr V8 engine which has a cu/in of 304 and is rated at 350 CFM while my 3.5ltr has a cu/in of 215 and is rated at 248 CFM so looks like the 32/36 weber which has a 240 CFM rating might be better. But someone suggested the 36 DCD as a better option. Not a carb I know or have worked on before. Do you think it would give me better fuel consumption without losing to much on performance. I seldom drive over 3500 rpm anyway and it's only 148 HP. Appreciate it
Hi, the 38 Weber has two 27 venturie's, i use one on my Nissan 1400 that i modified to progressive and it is not bad on fuel. i also had one on a 3.5 Rover and it worked fantastic. Try smaller main jets, remember the 38 has two additional enrichment systems so you can go smaller on your main jets.
@@carburettorrebuildservice8964 Thanks. Appreciate that. Can you explain the 2 additional enrichment systems. I haven't heard any one mention those before. I am in Natal by the way. Do you sell spares for carbs?

Awesome video. Do these carbs increase power, and how different is the fuel consumption with them?
yes it usually does, with the correct jetting it will save on fuel usage, depending on how heavy your foot is.....
Do you perhaps supply the adapter plate
Yes, thanks for watching my videos, please whatapp 060 654 6966
