No, no tiny planets here. Mocha's VR tools mainly deal with cleanup/removes, inserts and stabilization. If you want tiny planets then take your Mocha output into something like Sapphire's Warp Polar or After Effect's own Polar co-ordinates filters.
@@BorisFXco thank you for the reply. I was asking because I'm getting fed up with Premiere crashing every 30 minutes or so. The people I edit 360 for like me to convert the 360 footage into flat 1080p video and do tiny planet transitions, and I'm looking for some sort of solution to do the work in Avid without having to do round trips into After Effects.
I'm wondering if the Continuum BCC Sphere Transition effect would do the job. borisfx.com/products/continuum/?tags=unit:Perspective&search= The issue you would have is finding a way to move smoothly from flat to unwrapped to tiny planet. Neither the BCC VR tools nor Mocha Pro allow you to smoothly unwrap to equirectilinear from the undistorted views. I have done some quick tests but not found a perfect solution yet. The products have a free trial for Avid if you want to explore it yourself.
@@BorisFXco Good effort, but not exactlty. The equirectangular footage wraps perfectly around the sphere, but doesn't give the same effect. Oh well. I suppose until Mocha Pro has some sort of reframe plugin or option, I'm stuck with Premiere. Thank you for your replies and help. :)
Here's a lot more for 360/VR : borisfx.com/videos/?tags=feature:360%20/%20VR,product:Mocha%20Pro&search= If you're after more general Mocha tutorials, the best place is to start is with Mocha Essentials : borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/ Hope that helps.
But can it make tiny planets?
