Of all the cellists I have listened to playing this work none have played with the subtle nuances introduced by Woolee Jang. Those important details transport the listener to the 1700s of Henry Eccles and produce an interpretation I imagine is close to the wish of the composer. Brava Ms Jang !
For me it's 2*40 onward when she starts to add clever accents and nuances through to the end of the first movement. I have the feeling that is how Eccles intended the piece.
Beautiful. I don’t understand why they sped up the allegro and faster parts. It wasn’t necessary. I wasn’t sure at first but then when I watch the pianist, his head movements didn’t look natural.😊
