Its called Royal Knights of the Purge because its a reference to the movie, Digital Monster X-Evolution, which came out in 2005. In the movie, Yggdrasil was conducting a purge of the Digital World because of the X-Antibody, and Duke, Magna and Omni were the 3 Royal Knights in that movie. Hilariously enough, Yggdrasil purging the X-Antibody digimon would've released the X-program, destroying everything to include itself.
That and it could also reference the other times that yggdrasil order the death of humans ie data squad and cyber sleuth it could be a combination reference of yggdrasil destroying things in general also the royal knights are basically antivirus of the digital world it could reference many aspects also consider that a large portion of this set is data squad based and yggdrasil and the royal knights where villains in data squad
@michaelliggett1622 I still think it's specifically a reference to X-Evolution since it uses those specific Royal Knights. They are the only RK's besides Alphamon in that movie, and because it's the only time where Yggdrasil was specifically conducting a purge. Other times that Yggy has tried to destroy the digital world have been revolving around humans. The X-Evolution movie was the only time where the destruction revolved around Digimon, specifically X-Antibody Digimon.
You also have to remember that the Japanese name, 粛清のロイヤルナイツ (Shukusei no roiyarunaitsu in romanji), would be incorrectly translated to Purge of the Royal Knights. Using grammar rules of English correctly, and knowing that Japanese puts the thing that is owned before the owner, the correct translation would be what the card's name is now.
It's funny, I'm a yugioh player starting digimon and bought a box yesterday. First box out of a new case and pulled the alt art for gankoomon and jesmon. Might have to build a deck around them 😂

how many players were in your Pre-release? Mine had 24 and only wont 6 packs lol but hey, I did pull the Gallantmon and AA Rosemon Blast mode. Super lucky

Pick up a couple of the starter decks for jesmon to get a bunch of the useful jesmon cards

I went to a couple and most of them had 32 to 48 players! Was great to see!

Why theres so many SR in this box and there even at least two RARE each booster?? I bought a box and only got 2 SR
Sometimes loose packs have insane luck. But a regular booster box should usually come with at least 8 SR card with 2 Alt Arts or 1 Alt Art and a SEC.
