Got an Everlast210ext, love it! In the market for EITHER a better, or bigger machine....the maybe list: used Miller Dynasty 350, Lincoln 230acdc or used 375acdc, Fronius Magicwave 230i, OR my original contestant EVERLAST 350EXT(cheapest price for most machine)....those machine range between $3000-$5000....any opinions on which route is smarter? I want quality but I could def use the amps, but I only occasionally gets thick aluminum job that would require 250-300amps...

This is a great machine but wow the price has increased substantially! From $3k in 2020 to $4.2k now. So far I've been very happy with it. Replacing a Multimatic 200 for the AC Tig, DC pulsed TIG, HF start, as well as a bit higher max amperage and duty cycle. The 200 lays down some excellent MIG welds and is very portable especially with flux core wire.
I've been welding for 50 yrs with many different Miller machines from huge to small, for my home shop I bought a Miller 211, but quickly out grew it, wanted to go back to tig, sold the 211 and got a 220 from my local weld supply, haven't looked back. I do a lot of switching mig to tig back to mig. This machine is a dream to work with. I'm about one of the only guys in town that can do AC aluminum. Yeah it cost $3k but if you're welding a lot with different processes go get one, make payment if you have to.
I bought the 215 two years ago because I didn’t win it. I love it. Today, my 220 showed up. I bought it too because I didn’t win it. Nor has anyone been giving me anything. I love both of them.
I just got an Everlast MTS 225 which is the competitor to this, Love it! it does not auto change have to hit a button, but has both gas hookups which is Key! and is ac/dc with Pulse Tig! 110/220 voltage, with the auto thickness set for Mig. if you don't know what settings you need. Tottaly worth the money! i also recommend any of the High end multi processes units! the reason i chose Everlast is its 2K vs 3K.. saving my self a good chuck of money.. But love this review Great job! Love the videos been watching sense bleeping jeep beginning!
I've got a Miller Autoset 211, which is small and light enough to carry into the house and keep in a closet. That thing welds like a big industrial machine. I highly recommend Miller stuff.
I've been welding and fabricating for a long time. I have 2 millers, 1 Chinese tig and 2 holbart welders and its good advise to spend as much as u can but I'd say alway buy a 220 volt welder at least
I’ve owned the 220 for 5-6 months. It is awesome. The only negative is no pulse function for AC welding, but I knew that when I bought it and would absolutely buy it again, no question.
I've sold Miller welders for 21 years after using all brands in the field as a millwright and pipe welder. I tell people that you'll only buy a Miller once. It'll last forever and do a killer job. Great fair review.

That’s false as fuck. We have miller’s at work cause that’s all my company buys. We have a room full of broken ones lol That said they are quality, and are used hard. But they break just as much as anyone else.
I bought one of these a year ago with a spoolmate 100, I love the multimatic but spoolmate is junk. This year I bought a bobcat 260 so I'm still Miller all the way.

Im not embellishing when i say this welder made me better then I was. Being able to dial it into the correct power specs consistently was a game changer for me. I was pretty good with my last catalog welder but this really helped me hone my skills. 👍
My best welder is a '82 Lincoln. My best dirt bike is an '82 xr500r My best stock vehicle: 82 k30 My best firearm '82 mini14 When it comes to steel and hair the 80's were the best. Either I'm stuck in the 80's *Yup mullet* or they just had the best stuff (example 1982: mullet + rat tail)?
I have used Miller and Hobart welders most of my life. I just recently purchased a Vulcan Omni Pro 220 from Harbor Freight. WOW, this machine is amazing it does everything. Mig, Tig, Stick dual voltage. It is also has a processor for setting it up with type and thickness of material. Very easy to setup and adjust on the fly. Welder itself is less than 1K, with everything for Tig, Stick and it was 1300.00. Great welder that I highly recommend taking a look at, especially if you dont want to spend 2k on a welder. Bear in mind the Miller 220 now (2023 May) lists for $4200 less a $300 rebate. Most of the non-Blue/Reds did not plump up nearly that much in the last year. Oink Oink is what I hear in the background, and that is b4 you look at actual capability and features.
Right now I just have a cheap Forney flux core welder that doesn't even feed currently. But I've learned a lot on it and I was able to weld up some upper rear shock brackets on my TJ to complete my lift kit. Best believe Im gonna save up for this welder here, I always wanted a Miller. I've had this exact unit for 3 months. The MM 220 is my 4th intermediate sized unit and yes there are larger units offered by Miller. In short this bad boy is very versatile as a multi Mig, Tig, Stick system. I currently am using it for Body repair, sub frame enhancements, safety cage, metal, aluminum fabrication, house machine. This is truly a 3 in one set, run and done. Not that you will need this however, there's a settings recs page under the main storage lid just in case you haven't memorized functions voltage versus materials/ wire gauge which by the way its also pre programmed in the welder. For the money, this is a big function kit in a reasonable price! 3 welders in one! Its twist DIN connect 110v 220v convertible! I just wished Miller added a Miller Inferno Digital Elite helmet with this excellent kit....... pardon the pun. Your review is spot on!
Thank you Nate. I took your advice and purchased what I felt I needed and could afford at this time. I'm very happy with the Lincoln 230/180 MIG & Flux Core wire feed welder. I've got a lot of learning to do and this welder is a great entry level unit. Lincoln is well known in the industry so getting supplies is easy at almost any weld shop. As soon as I got a gas bottle my welds came out much better.
I had been eyeing up the multimatic 220, and then I saw this video over on your review channel. I immediately went and ordered one and have NEVER regretted it. If you can possibly afford this machine, buy it. If you do any amount of fabrication you won’t regret it.
That's true with any tool. Professional grade is always better. I stopped buying homeowner power tools i.e. black & decker and switched to the good stuff i.e. DeWalt or Makita. You pick up the good stuff they always work you pickup the homeowner's stuff usually have to charge it first.
Price is relative to potential earnings. Photography gear can cost 3k or more, easy. Firearms can cost that times whatever factor you like. People into cycling spend that much, dirt bikes 2-3x that at least, guitars/instruments, weights for a home gym, private pilots spend ten to one hundred times that... pretty much any hobby is going to cost you thousands over time. Some of those hobbies are good for your health. Some just good for recreation but cost a lot. Others can make you money and pay for themselves. I want to have a hundred hobbies. I tend to pursue the ones that are the most practical and can pay for themselves over time, such as welding. Cheers :D

I’ve been dreaming about upgrading my little Lincoln 140 flux core mig. This Miller is in the top two along with the Rebel. Too bad Covid affected my $$. I had to put this purchase off a bit.
I own an Esab Rebel 215ic. I'm a hobbyist so no wide open smearing weld on. I haven't even gotten a 12 lbs roll through it yet and I'm guessing the motherboard crapped out on it. I should have kept my Esab WCC Jesse James multiprocess ☹. Not only could I smear some weld around with it. It was "F"ing cool looking!
Over the years I went through the need it now/cheap. Vs forever tool situation. Being younger I went from a new 30gallon compressor to a used 60gallon that failed. After doing research h and waiting I got a hell of a deal on a 2stage IR 80 gallon on Black Friday and got TSC to match a harbor 20% freight coupon. Did the same thing on welders. I got a Hobart 140, them grew into 187handler. While I thought I'd never need more than a 187handler for mig years past and I think I got a forever machine with an esab em235ic I picked up and couldn't be happy with it's capabilities, 15ft lead, dual voltage and duty cycle. If I could do it again if have saved for the better tool first time around and had more money for other things by getting a machine I could "grow "into using vs. the it gets the job done today. Great video! I agree, the professional grade machines make ALL the difference. 3k is a lot, but that is a WHOLE LOT OF MACHINE for the $$. Miller products ROCK! I have had my MIG welder for 15yrs now and it Never skips a beat. Keep up your Excellent work! Love the channel.
I picked one up back in March and just love it. So far I have only used it for mig but will hopefully be getting a second bottle so I can start doing some tig. Limited space makes having a multiprocess welder a very good thing. After years of not welding I was able to just set the material thinkness and just start welding.
My titanium 140 is nearly identical.. While nor a 220, can be converted and has the after run feature.. It's been a worthy welder for me and worth every penny of $500
@@DirtLifestyle not quite identical, but as far as looks, ability to interchange gas, flux, and vaiett of other uses.. It'll never be a $3000 welder, or a high end miller.. But at 1/6 the price, it has been a darn good welder..at least for me.. I have not nearly used all the features..im just poor and the max I could afford and no complaints. Idk if itll automatically switch ( which I know is the issue) but check it out anyways.. Might be a handy find
I bought a Hobart 140 and wish I would have gotten an Hobart 187 or larger. Especially when trying to weld no axles tubes and thick metal you need a bigger welder. I would agree Nate I should have bought a bigger welder. I love the way yours is set up.
I have owned both (currently the 187). The big downside is little to no spool gun support. where as the 190/210 mvp does. Dollar for dollar the 210 at $999 (with spool gun) is the best welder on the market and punches far above its weight class.
I have one of their plasma cutters I bought maybe 10 or 12 years ago off the top of my head, I think its model number is something like 625. I don't use it all the time, but when I need it, I need it. I have abused it, it has gotten wet, stored in a humid environment, and it still works well. I have a multimatic as well. I like their equipment. It costs more, but I do believe this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for, and if time is money, then their products have real value.
I've been wondering why i don't see that many videos of the miller multimatic 255. the thing cost's $4500.00 with tax and shipping lol add your two cylinders on and you've got over $5,000.00 into your machine... I just ordered my 255 with all the accessories this morning, supposed to be here next Tuesday, i cant wait. I wanted to get a machine that i wouldn't grow out of right off the bat.
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. I got my first professional machine in 1991, Lincoln SP250 still have it it's my go-to welder. I have run well over a 1000 pounds of wire through it. It does need a new liner which I have on the shelf. IIRC I picked it up for $2500 including the tank, I also got them to include a set of Victor torches and regs. Keep passing along the knowledge.
10-4. Found it on sale - online. Showed the cashier at Tractor Supply, they price matched it. No questions. Luckily, they had one in stock. It was less than $800. I used it to build a temporary table. All scrap metal. Used 110 setting, .30 flux core wire, 3/16" angle for the top perimeter, 1/8" for the legs. Didn't clean it that much. Welds came out pretty decent. I still need lots of practice. Can't wait to install 220v.. Mainly got it for frame stiffeners on the XJ. That seems to be tough. Going from 1/8 or 3/16 to sheetmetal.... Some people make it look easy..... and the welds...like stacking dimes...
Not sure if you have one close by. Blain's farm and fleet has it at $799. If you have a tractor supply nearby, maybe they'll price match. Must be a labor day sale...

Good info man, thanks. I've looked at Miller machines... That price tag hurts. :P My little Clarke has been doing well enough, but I do feel like it's starting to get flaky. Hoping it'll last me until I can afford something better. My deal with yeswelder has helped out, but their products are are the same grade as my Clarke. So when the day comes that I need to replace it... I'm hoping to upgrade, instead of just replace it with another lower end welder. That's a hell of a price tag though.
I looked at it and cheap chinese cutters like the BestArc for under $300 will do about the same. Look how many you can buy for the Miller price, and the consumables are less. Is your air sufficient cfm/PSI and dry? Fail on either and your cutter will, too.
As far as cooling down the TIG torch.... How about fabricating a spiral wire handle, like you'd see on the handle of a BBQ pit, or smoker? That will help dissipate the heat, and keep your hand away from it, and still allow some air flow between. It would be a near zero cost solution.
Having recently lost access to welding school with current events I pulled the trigger on the Primeweld AC/DC TIG220 for $830. I am keeping up on my stick welding primarily with it but once I can buy a bottle of argon I'll be getting to work on Aluminum TIG. I'm considering the Primeweld MIG180 next which runs for about $450.
Good stuff 👍 Personally, I just got a HF Titanium Unlimited 200 as that's my budget level. Only done about 15 minutes of welding on it so far, but pretty impressed with it. Consumables are standard sizes as well.
that is a big chunk of change for a welder but most people don’t realize you get four machines for the one price. if you bought one of each welder it would cost more and take up that much more space.

$3k seems a lot, but....when yer talking about a machine that will run AC/DC 220/110, MIG, Spool, TIG, AND stick (and about any metal you could want)? Yeah, it still hurts, but "One Machine to Rule them All". Would cover 99.99% of anything I would need to stick together, I think. Toss in that Plasma cutter, and the kit is pretty much complete. Yeah, I would keep my Oxy/Acetylene setup for rough torching and brazing...but about it, really. Probably keep my cheap-y 110 flux core, too....just for quick and dirty stuff and because I already own it. I may have to buy one. If nothing else, having a TIG machine might motivate me to pile up some scrap and PRACTICE!
MADE IN AMERICA. Friends please stop whining about China if you're going to give them your money. I'm was 14 just this last year, when I got my 220. Owned 2 migs, an arc and plasma cutter. 3 of the 4 Hobart. I researched like crazy and there's a lot of internal power designs that make it so great and reliable. He doesn't mention it but it has a Weld current sensor that's patented and a few other patents that make this, the machine it is. My Dad always taught me, you are either in or your out. Don't stand in the door way. A good machine helps you work faster and better and that's more money. It's the top of the world and it kicks ass. Glad I learned so much off the other machines that are pretty good. But like he is saying, this is a joy to work with and no going back to cheaper machines. Mind you I'll have this one for decades, the way it's built. Remember ! Welders hold the world together. Have a Great New Year everyone.

How hot is "lava" hot on the TIG? Never used air cooled TIG. What were the amps you used and length (secs) of welds to get torch hot? I mostly will be welding inch long stitch on 11 gauge SS, 6 welds per setup.
Miller is quality. But my shop has 3 machines that are dead. No machine is immune to breaking. Don’t fool yourself self kids. Buy the best you can afford, but just cause you spent $10k doesn’t mean it won’t ever break.
Can you review cast iron MIG wire, like Crown Alloys Royal 44-30 or Special Metals Ni-Rod 44 (ER NiFeMn-CI filler) for those who only have a MIG welder? It sure looks like a nice machine. However, $3K is a little steep for a weekend warrior, especially if you don't need to TIG aluminum. Would it be nice to TIG aluminum? Absolutely. Would I buy a DC only TIG welder? Probably not. I just can't justify the cost for something I am only going to use a handful of times a year on steel and probably almost never on aluminum. The primary limiting factor for most hobbyists is money. I could almost buy 2.5" remote res coilovers, dual rate springs and 37" tires for the cost of the welder. When the $700 Lincoln I have works great for steel it makes it hard to justify a $3K welder. But that is my situation, others may find a multi-process AC/DC machine to be a necessity. If my job was welding, I would already own this machine probably. It looks like the quality and ease of use of this welder are both high.
Planning on getting my first welder. I’ve settle on the multimatic220 which is what I believe you have along with a plasma cutter. If you have time, can you post up the parts needed for the setup (welder, plasma, cart, etc) on your amazon page? I’m moving in November and will have 220 to be able to run this.

It runs the fan after power is turned off, so that it bleeds any power off the inverter as not to have energy stored in the machine when it’s off.

Hobart 210 mig welder is a great welder for the price And its made from Miller as well. That Miller welder is my dream welder.

Im not embellishing when i say this welder made me better then I was. Being able to dial it into the correct power specs consistently was a game changer for me. I was pretty good with my last catalog welder but this really helped me hone my skills. 👍

I have used Miller and Hobart welders most of my life. I just recently purchased a Vulcan Omni Pro 220 from Harbor Freight. WOW, this machine is amazing it does everything. Mig, Tig, Stick dual voltage. It is also has a processor for setting it up with type and thickness of material. Very easy to setup and adjust on the fly. Welder itself is less than 1K, with everything for Tig, Stick and it was 1300.00. Great welder that I highly recommend taking a look at, especially if you dont want to spend 2k on a welder. What is the Duty cycle for each method at max on the Vulcan?
Bear in mind the Miller 220 now (2023 May) lists for $4200 less a $300 rebate. Most of the non-Blue/Reds did not plump up nearly that much in the last year. Oink Oink is what I hear in the background, and that is b4 you look at actual capability and features.
Right now I just have a cheap Forney flux core welder that doesn't even feed currently. But I've learned a lot on it and I was able to weld up some upper rear shock brackets on my TJ to complete my lift kit. Best believe Im gonna save up for this welder here, I always wanted a Miller. I've had this exact unit for 3 months. The MM 220 is my 4th intermediate sized unit and yes there are larger units offered by Miller. In short this bad boy is very versatile as a multi Mig, Tig, Stick system. I currently am using it for Body repair, sub frame enhancements, safety cage, metal, aluminum fabrication, house machine. This is truly a 3 in one set, run and done. Not that you will need this however, there's a settings recs page under the main storage lid just in case you haven't memorized functions voltage versus materials/ wire gauge which by the way its also pre programmed in the welder. For the money, this is a big function kit in a reasonable price! 3 welders in one! Its twist DIN connect 110v 220v convertible! I just wished Miller added a Miller Inferno Digital Elite helmet with this excellent kit....... pardon the pun. Your review is spot on!
Thank you Nate. I took your advice and purchased what I felt I needed and could afford at this time. I'm very happy with the Lincoln 230/180 MIG & Flux Core wire feed welder. I've got a lot of learning to do and this welder is a great entry level unit. Lincoln is well known in the industry so getting supplies is easy at almost any weld shop. As soon as I got a gas bottle my welds came out much better.

I had been eyeing up the multimatic 220, and then I saw this video over on your review channel. I immediately went and ordered one and have NEVER regretted it. If you can possibly afford this machine, buy it. If you do any amount of fabrication you won’t regret it.

Professional grade is always better.
I stopped buying homeowner power tools i.e. black & decker and switched to the good stuff i.e. DeWalt or Makita.
You pick up the good stuff they always work you pickup the homeowner's stuff usually have to charge it first.
Price is relative to potential earnings. Photography gear can cost 3k or more, easy. Firearms can cost that times whatever factor you like. People into cycling spend that much, dirt bikes 2-3x that at least, guitars/instruments, weights for a home gym, private pilots spend ten to one hundred times that... pretty much any hobby is going to cost you thousands over time. Some of those hobbies are good for your health. Some just good for recreation but cost a lot. Others can make you money and pay for themselves. I want to have a hundred hobbies. I tend to pursue the ones that are the most practical and can pay for themselves over time, such as welding. Cheers :D

I’ve been dreaming about upgrading my little Lincoln 140 flux core mig. This Miller is in the top two along with the Rebel. Too bad Covid affected my $$. I had to put this purchase off a bit.

I own an Esab Rebel 215ic. I'm a hobbyist so no wide open smearing weld on. I haven't even gotten a 12 lbs roll through it yet and I'm guessing the motherboard crapped out on it. I should have kept my Esab WCC Jesse James multiprocess ☹. Not only could I smear some weld around with it. It was "F"ing cool looking!
Over the years I went through the need it now/cheap. Vs forever tool situation. Being younger I went from a new 30gallon compressor to a used 60gallon that failed. After doing research h and waiting I got a hell of a deal on a 2stage IR 80 gallon on Black Friday and got TSC to match a harbor 20% freight coupon.
Did the same thing on welders. I got a Hobart 140, them grew into 187handler. While I thought I'd never need more than a 187handler for mig years past and I think I got a forever machine with an esab em235ic I picked up and couldn't be happy with it's capabilities, 15ft lead, dual voltage and duty cycle.
If I could do it again if have saved for the better tool first time around and had more money for other things by getting a machine I could "grow "into using vs. the it gets the job done today.

I picked one up back in March and just love it. So far I have only used it for mig but will hopefully be getting a second bottle so I can start doing some tig. Limited space makes having a multiprocess welder a very good thing. After years of not welding I was able to just set the material thinkness and just start welding.
Choosing the amperage via selecting the material thickness is a game changer 👍
My titanium 140 is nearly identical.. While nor a 220, can be converted and has the after run feature.. It's been a worthy welder for me and worth every penny of $500

@@DirtLifestyle not quite identical, but as far as looks, ability to interchange gas, flux, and vaiett of other uses.. It'll never be a $3000 welder, or a high end miller.. But at 1/6 the price, it has been a darn good welder..at least for me.. I have not nearly used all the features..im just poor and the max I could afford and no complaints. Idk if itll automatically switch ( which I know is the issue) but check it out anyways.. Might be a handy find

I bought a Hobart 140 and wish I would have gotten an Hobart 187 or larger. Especially when trying to weld no axles tubes and thick metal you need a bigger welder. I would agree Nate I should have bought a bigger welder. I love the way yours is set up.
I have owned both (currently the 187). The big downside is little to no spool gun support. where as the 190/210 mvp does. Dollar for dollar the 210 at $999 (with spool gun) is the best welder on the market and punches far above its weight class.

I have one of their plasma cutters I bought maybe 10 or 12 years ago off the top of my head, I think its model number is something like 625. I don't use it all the time, but when I need it, I need it. I have abused it, it has gotten wet, stored in a humid environment, and it still works well. I have a multimatic as well. I like their equipment. It costs more, but I do believe this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for, and if time is money, then their products have real value.

I've been wondering why i don't see that many videos of the miller multimatic 255. the thing cost's $4500.00 with tax and shipping lol add your two cylinders on and you've got over $5,000.00 into your machine... I just ordered my 255 with all the accessories this morning, supposed to be here next Tuesday, i cant wait. I wanted to get a machine that i wouldn't grow out of right off the bat.

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. I got my first professional machine in 1991, Lincoln SP250 still have it it's my go-to welder. I have run well over a 1000 pounds of wire through it. It does need a new liner which I have on the shelf. IIRC I picked it up for $2500 including the tank, I also got them to include a set of Victor torches and regs. Keep passing along the knowledge.

Found it on sale - online. Showed the cashier at Tractor Supply, they price matched it. No questions. Luckily, they had one in stock. It was less than $800.
I used it to build a temporary table. All scrap metal. Used 110 setting, .30 flux core wire, 3/16" angle for the top perimeter, 1/8" for the legs. Didn't clean it that much. Welds came out pretty decent. I still need lots of practice.
Can't wait to install 220v.. Mainly got it for frame stiffeners on the XJ. That seems to be tough. Going from 1/8 or 3/16 to sheetmetal....
Some people make it look easy..... and the welds...like stacking dimes...

Good info man, thanks. I've looked at Miller machines... That price tag hurts. :P My little Clarke has been doing well enough, but I do feel like it's starting to get flaky. Hoping it'll last me until I can afford something better. My deal with yeswelder has helped out, but their products are are the same grade as my Clarke. So when the day comes that I need to replace it... I'm hoping to upgrade, instead of just replace it with another lower end welder. That's a hell of a price tag though.
I would replace the tig torch with a weldcraft redhead, wp-r17fv(flex head, valve)

I looked at it and cheap chinese cutters like the BestArc for under $300 will do about the same. Look how many you can buy for the Miller price, and the consumables are less. Is your air sufficient cfm/PSI and dry? Fail on either and your cutter will, too.

As far as cooling down the TIG torch.... How about fabricating a spiral wire handle, like you'd see on the handle of a BBQ pit, or smoker? That will help dissipate the heat, and keep your hand away from it, and still allow some air flow between. It would be a near zero cost solution.

Having recently lost access to welding school with current events I pulled the trigger on the Primeweld AC/DC TIG220 for $830. I am keeping up on my stick welding primarily with it but once I can buy a bottle of argon I'll be getting to work on Aluminum TIG. I'm considering the Primeweld MIG180 next which runs for about $450.
I think you mean the PW 225, not 220?? Unlike the vaunted Miller 220's dramatic $ rise, it has only gone up to $849, last I looked (May 2023).
Good stuff 👍 Personally, I just got a HF Titanium Unlimited 200 as that's my budget level. Only done about 15 minutes of welding on it so far, but pretty impressed with it. Consumables are standard sizes as well.
that is a big chunk of change for a welder but most people don’t realize you get four machines for the one price. if you bought one of each welder it would cost more and take up that much more space.

I should've saved a bit more and got the 220. Picked up the 215 last year with the rebate program but as re-beginning welder I'm sure it's still well above me 🤷🏻♂️

What mig gun are you running on that beast?
$3k seems a lot, but....when yer talking about a machine that will run AC/DC 220/110, MIG, Spool, TIG, AND stick (and about any metal you could want)? Yeah, it still hurts, but "One Machine to Rule them All". Would cover 99.99% of anything I would need to stick together, I think. Toss in that Plasma cutter, and the kit is pretty much complete. Yeah, I would keep my Oxy/Acetylene setup for rough torching and brazing...but about it, really. Probably keep my cheap-y 110 flux core, too....just for quick and dirty stuff and because I already own it.
I may have to buy one. If nothing else, having a TIG machine might motivate me to pile up some scrap and PRACTICE!
MADE IN AMERICA. Friends please stop whining about China if you're going to give them your money. I'm was 14 just this last year, when I got my 220. Owned 2 migs, an arc and plasma cutter. 3 of the 4 Hobart. I researched like crazy and there's a lot of internal power designs that make it so great and reliable. He doesn't mention it but it has a Weld current sensor that's patented and a few other patents that make this, the machine it is. My Dad always taught me, you are either in or your out. Don't stand in the door way. A good machine helps you work faster and better and that's more money. It's the top of the world and it kicks ass. Glad I learned so much off the other machines that are pretty good. But like he is saying, this is a joy to work with and no going back to cheaper machines. Mind you I'll have this one for decades, the way it's built. Remember ! Welders hold the world together. Have a Great New Year everyone.

Tig only machines are great! Usually they have some extra features that you won't see in a multiproccess unit 👍
How hot is "lava" hot on the TIG? Never used air cooled TIG. What were the amps you used and length (secs) of welds to get torch hot? I mostly will be welding inch long stitch on 11 gauge SS, 6 welds per setup.

Miller is quality. But my shop has 3 machines that are dead. No machine is immune to breaking. Don’t fool yourself self kids.
Buy the best you can afford, but just cause you spent $10k doesn’t mean it won’t ever break.
Can you review cast iron MIG wire, like Crown Alloys Royal 44-30 or Special Metals Ni-Rod 44 (ER NiFeMn-CI filler) for those who only have a MIG welder?
It sure looks like a nice machine. However, $3K is a little steep for a weekend warrior, especially if you don't need to TIG aluminum. Would it be nice to TIG aluminum? Absolutely. Would I buy a DC only TIG welder? Probably not. I just can't justify the cost for something I am only going to use a handful of times a year on steel and probably almost never on aluminum. The primary limiting factor for most hobbyists is money. I could almost buy 2.5" remote res coilovers, dual rate springs and 37" tires for the cost of the welder. When the $700 Lincoln I have works great for steel it makes it hard to justify a $3K welder.
But that is my situation, others may find a multi-process AC/DC machine to be a necessity. If my job was welding, I would already own this machine probably. It looks like the quality and ease of use of this welder are both high.

I bought this same machine but I didn't like the short mig gun. I saw yours and it looks bigger. Were you able to get a different one and if so which one?
Do you find that you can weld the same thickness material with 110v and 220v? Are there any number sticks you can't use with this machine? What is the duty cycle on this machine? I'm down to this one and the Eastwood 250i multi-process welder.

Yes you can, up to 140A on a 20A breaker. They spec 90A on a 15A breaker.
Could it be your forever because after laying out the Miller price, you cannot afford another one?
