Favorite Cecil homerun wasn't the centerfield second deck homers at Tiger Stadium or the one he hit completely out of Milwaukee County.
It was the one he hit at Yankee Stadium the day Steinbrenner was kicked out of baseball for the second time. After the news broke in the stadium and the crowd gave a standing ovation of approval (we were tired of George at that point) Cecil hits a porch job. It summed up how far George had fallen and the team needed better leadership and at the end the dynasty was born that day. Then Cecil winds up a yankee in the middle of the 96 season.

How many non-American viewers do you have in order to call football, "American football" like a high schooler who went on a spring break school trip to London and then came back home with an accent?

If you believe “everything happens for a reason” then logically coincidences can’t exist

The Fielder thing always makes me sad considering how Cecil was a piece of shit. Prince wanted so badly to surpass Cecil so people would stop saying that he only got a shot due to being the son of a ballplayer.

Every baseball fan knows about the Bill Buckner/Boston choke. But not as many people know about the Cubs doing the same exact thing. Bill Buckner previously played for the Cubs and was wearing his cubs wrist band that game….

    Me: the moon landing ----
    Also me: 🤭🫵🏼
    I have one for you…
My grandpa was blah blah blah and my whole life I always knew his World Title belt was in the landfill or some old lady in Metairie’s closet. So last year I saw on eBay the Awarded Belt of the man that beat him on sale from the British Museum. It said on belt who and how Jose Torres won. For the small $300. I bought it.. and unintentionally 3 months after ordering it, it shows up on the exact 67th anniversary of the day my grandpa lost it. If you watch Mike Tyson explain the Willie bag, that’s my grandfather. Willie Pastrano, not Pep..
