Pls am trying to add effects tone curve to the tree is not working is like because of the shadow pls what can I do

You must ensure that the tree is selected first and I think the shadows do not stop the effect from taking it place. So ensure you select the shadow and then go to tone curve and make the adjustments then hit ok and it will be done. It won't work if you do not select the Christmas tree and not you need to open the powerclip and select the tree that is if you try and it still doesn't work
