I used to drive either a 3/4 diesel pickup or a $20k Italian motorcycle 1.7 miles to work, and 1.7 miles home, five times a week. More important and damaging to internal combustion engines than miles, is cycles. Every time you you start the engine and then shut it off, is a cycle. The miles in between don’t matter as much when it comes to wear and tear on the engine. I was cycling these engines and also never letting them get up to operating temperature. Worst case scenario for ICEs. Now I ride my electric scooter every day. No fuel. No cycles. No maintenance. No worry about wear and tear on expensive vehicles. Just a transporter that takes me and a little equipment and a lunch swiftly to work with zero drama. I should’ve started doing this years ago. *Wolf Warrior 11*
