I really like this chapter! I wish I had this a year ago :) Very well presented. This is the need to know stuff to make these Headrush amps sing. Listening to my UA-cam I can clearly hear the sound of my own HR. I love the twin with the white boost, use it all the time.
The white boost is my favorite but for me it works best going through the fx loop...but I also have a Marshall so that may have something to do with it. The only effects I put through the front is OD pedals, everything else goes to the fx loop. If I use any amp models at high volume I get very bad feedback squeal 🤷♂️ can't figure this one out yet with the 4CM
Hey there, I noticed your Input lock is red and appears locked, vs. how I think normally is unlocked and white. Why is that and does that allow you to lock your threshold/ gate in the input for any rigs you create?
Thanks for asking that question. This channel is great. I have learned so much in a short time. Now I can actually play my guitar instead of spending countless hours tweaking my sound. Well.... I probably will spend countless hours tweaking my sound anyway. ;)
I just bought a HR pedalboard and this guy and his great videos have really helped me to understand it better.
Thanks Doctor McFarland!
Rob A glad I could help. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I have one on order right now and I’ve been BINGING these videos to get me up to snuff on getting good tones

george parow yeah man the HR can really crank.
That’s killer! Kind of a rock n roll Tom Petty kinda thing w/AC30!
Tom Petty is a huge influence. All kinds of great classic rock tones in there.
Hi Dr. New to your channel. Where do you get all your IRS?
i use my custom IR pack from SDNA. link is in the description.

How close to the amp are you standing?
I'm confused about which amp model's supposed to represent which amp. is there a list for this?
There is a PDF in the files section of the Headrush user group on Facebook that describes each amp

Jason Fischer yep you got it. It locks those settings so they can’t be changed.

What are you running the HR through?
Troy Robinson in this video I am using my studio monitors. Most of the time I use the FRFR 108.
can this replicate a high gain rig without all that fuzz it drives me nuts
Just depends on what amp you are using.
Go to the Global Settings EQ and cut out a little 3.5K and see what that does for you.
thank you for youre time sir
