I tend to agree with you. Although, this test happening at this moment in time doesn't make a lot of sense to me. After all, the 11 is just debuting and hasn't had a lot of software updates. Conversely, the iPhone 14 Pro has been out a while longer and has definitely had some software updates. It seems to me that this test would make more sense if it were conducted a few months from now.
For the rear cameras, I really prefer the photos from OnePlus in most scenarios. The iPhone's performance from the rear cameras was hit-and-miss, and it struggled with exposure of background subjects in quite a few scenarios. And the night-time/indoor photography on the iPhone was visibly inferior compared to OnePlus' well exposed shots, with excellent details. The selfie shots on the iPhone were again hit-and-miss. The only clear advantage for the iPhone is superior video recording on both front & rear cameras, and higher zooming capability on the telephoto lens. All in all, OnePlus deserves serious applause for the kind of camera performance it delivers, coming at a much lower price than the competition, and I do hope and expect the videography and overall camera performance to only get better with future updates.
The OnePlus 11 looks amazing. Real improvement to the cameras. Way to go.
The colors on the OnePlus are great, but it's not the best for dynamic range. Though, low light performance is exceptional with the main camera.
@@phandroid, I think it comes down to preference. I've seen several comparisons and it just looks better to the eye in the majority of cases. It can over sharpen I'm some situations but that in some cases allows for the OP11 to produce a better result in tougher to capture situations. Good review though!

For most demanding use the main camera of one plus rivals the iphone 14 pro for me. It definitely does not justify the larger price tag for me. Ill be upgrading from the nord 2 and I use it for static photos and video anyways. Great vid
Damn, some of the shots are better on the OnePlus 11 than the 14 Pro Max. The 14 Pro Max has the attendees overexposed often.
Iphone totally blows out the sky/backgrounds in a lot of the more challenging dynamic range scenes. You can see at :21 (across street is totally blown out) and at 3:04 (sky is totally blown out with no blue or visible clouds as well as across street at end of alley). However it appears that when taking video, the opposite is true.

I like the Oneplus in most of the photos except the front camera. 2x zoom looks good on the Oneplus, but that limit is disappointing. Ultra-wide angle looks good on the Oneplus and it's good to see you can change lenses now without having to stop and do them separately. Not sure that was always the case. Rear cameras on the Oneplus look good all around.
You only have to stop recording to change lenses when it's 60fps. That's been the case for a while now.

@@Samdevay So many new phones and deals on older ones from last year it's hard to judge. I'd lean more towards the Oneplus 10 Pro, Oneplus 11, Vivo x90, or the Samsung S23.

Camera photos are good.. the sensor is actually good in OP11..
You can do little bit of editing to have picture as you want..
Gcam should also do a good job in OP11.
iPhone are in a different league as far as videos are concerned..
Would've been nice to see few "live subjects" in 2x telephoto shots.

I'm genuinely surprised how well it stacks up on on the back cameras and even from selfies on the front. The big let down is that 1080 video on the front... is very meh 😕 also if they can fix a bit of the OIS jitters on the main camera during video
What the difference beetwen 4k and 1080p on phone? I never see different, but in space is big big difference, more then double space requariment on storage, i always use 1080 p video, also always 1080 p works better with better stabilisation... 4k and 8k is just marketing, real difference dosent exist, and if exist i can live with that, save double space on phone..
@@dzonib9595 well it's not so much that it needs to be 4k.. I agree. But the 1080 video on the OnePlus 11 is very mediocre looking. It's over sharpenered and handles exposure poorly. They just need to change up the algorithm and tune it a little better. It takes good looking photos but it's video performance is mediocre. Also it doesn't have autofocus , it's fixed focus which is a bit dated for 2023

Except for the 1080p front video on the 1+, the shots performed better than the 14pro in most cases.

so essentially normal picture taking goes to Oneplus 11, everything else goes to IPhone 14 pro.
Would have liked to have seen at least 3x zoom on the oneplus 11 and it be able to do video using it, that video got very noisy when zoomed.
Price difference will be substantial though, iphone 14 Pro in the UK is around £1149, the oneplus 11 is around £699

oneplus looks better in most of the case... i sold my 14 pro max recently after 40 days of use... because it has auto focus issues while video recording... we have to manually click on screeen every time for auto focus... im using my old one plus 5t as of now... gonna buy Oneplus 11

una lastima lo del apartado de video de one plus :( las fotos son increibles.
se puede notar ya la colaboracion con hasselblad en las fotos tanto del sensor principal como del ultra gran angular, sobre todo en la interpretacion de los colores yo diria a la par , pero en el selfie y en el apartado de video si que le falta.. pero por la diferencia de precios el one plus es increible!

How is the one plus 11 front camera ?
It seems a little like a strange comparison. The OnePlus 11 is just coming out and hasn't really had any updates to its camera software as of yet. Conversely, the iPhone 14 Pro has been out a while longer and has had some updates. It seems to me that this test would make more sense if it were done a few months from now. After all, the OnePlus 10 Pro had a great hasselblad camera system but, it really didn't come into its own until after it had a few months of updates.
I like OnePlus. Of course, it may lose at video recording, but gcam doesn't exist for iPhones:)
the colour rendition on that hasselblad is fantastic, selfie camera seems to have emerged from my butthole tho
OP11 has Sony sensors! Forget about the other flagships, this year is OP year!

OnePlus 11 absolutely destroyed iPhone 14 pro in sharpness, details 4:48 9:07 and dynamic range 3:48 3:55 but in video 14 pro is king
why are folks so hyped about selfies camera? it is only for selfhappy people: se me hear me
I don't understand why Chinese phone makers use 1080p selfie cameras on video. Maybe they think who takes 4k selfie and then emails or sms it?
But 4k selfie with OIS can be used for many other things, such as a webcam, content creating etc.
