I know this video is old but I just wanted to comment that the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was the best in my opinion. Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka was a perfect fit whereas Johnny Depp made it creepy. And in the original it was a girl who chewed the gum and blew up like a blueberry. Her name was Violet. Absolutely love that movie. Not crazy about the newer one though.
I know this comment is old, but the guy who actually wrote the books about willy wonka hated the first movie, & he wanted nothing to do with it. The one with Johnny depp came out after he died and his wife said he would’ve loved it because it’s more accurate to his books. She’s even listed as an executive producer on the Johnny depp one.
