- The bike in this video is one of my subscribers. It was nice of him to come by. We had a nice time together making this video. The alteration / modificaton he has done on this Bajaj Avenger, is not taken from Royal Enfield or other motorcycles. He build it by him self in his workshop. He is not a mechanic, he is an architect. If you have questions feel free to ask in the comments.
If interested this alterations can be done in Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise, Bajaj Avenger street 220 and on Bajaj Avenger 150 also.

Hi Abhi and subodh thank you for the tips and modification ideas. I am riding Avanger 220 since last 8 years and I must say it's really a comfortable bike and your modification will adds up in the comfort.

Hello Dr, thank you for that beautiful comment. I so sorry to say that we not taking in orders. But you can use this video as reference and make one locally which will be lot more cheaper and faster.

Bro which Better for 6 ft hights person Avenger Or Bullet.
Avenger is absolutely fine, but few people prefer bullet coz tall guys feel that Avenger is too low to the ground.
hi Abi, why weren't the welded altercations on Sumod's bike not paint protected. Would advise that to be done soon. the bike looks great otherwise

There are two toothbrush holder on front shock absorbers. Quite useful for long ride. No one ever thought for tooth brush holder earlier. He can file patent for tooth brush holder for bike.
Putting weight destroys the aerodynamics of vehicle and must be done with extreme care. The back carrier pushes the center of gravity upwards making it unstable, The antenna might disturb and irritate the rider.
But I rode this bike and noticed the drawbacks as follows:
1. Urgently needs disk brake on back wheel as while coming down a steep hill and at a sharp U turn, the vehicle behaves extremely dangerously. The front wheel just with touch locks and skids as the back brake is scarcely effective. Even applying wheel at turn makes the vehicle unstable.
2. Back rest is needed badly for the rider, the seat at pillion is too slim.
3. Due to glass the pathholes just in front of the front vehicle are not visible and some design improvement is needed.
4. for 3-4 seconds it was 120kmph and it was cool.
5. back shock absorber needs more movement as roads are back breakers in north India.
Anyway suggest some saddle back/ camping gear customised for bike

Hello Rakesh, sounds very technical and good observation. The carrier (I agree to your point about the center of gravity) but since Avenger is not going to reach speeds of a R1 or Hayabusa, I would not be so concerned about that. I agree with all the other points your mentioned, you left tubeless tires, definitely can be customized after purchasing it and the bike comes with a very reasonable price (I feel compared to its rivals). I will try to do more videos with camping gears.
Thanks buddy, about tubeless tyres, I cant comment but once somebody pointed out about flat tyre of my car ( D'zire) and only than I came to know ... so how beneficial it is , yes in case of a flat tyre you can ride for a few miles, but what about riding experience ....
But my concern is dangerous braking mechanism , is there a possibility for a disc brake on rear wheel as on slopes and coming down, the brake is not effective.
Three more points ; back rest or seat modification, saddle bag or panniers and something to blink BOTH the blinkers simultaneously (its cool) ............ pl comment
Hi Rakesh, yes what you said about the tubeless is absolutely right, first of all flat tubeless tires are very rare, plus u can fill in sealant anti puncture in ur tubeless tires, riding exp is pretty much the same. Coming to you next ques: yes u can install good brand rear disc brakes which is available in the market a lot for a reasonable price and can be done quickly.
I would say both backrest and seat modification to get the best riding exp (back rest is for your spine and seat is for the bump). I will go with saddle bags for Avenger as it will not make sense investing a lot of money in it. But if it was a super bike then panniers coz they are very compact, water and dirt proof, easy to clean and comes with a lock but expensive.
I am not a very big fan of blinkers as it attracts a lot of attention and at times annoying also (its just my thought) So I'd leave that light to the Cops ;-). Hope this answers all, thank you and keep watching.

Bro really liked ur videos....i had just bought bs4 avenger 220 last month.....its 2019 model...so no kick there...just selfstart ..i just want to know regarding the precautions for keeping my battery well?
Please check your battery at least every 3 months, I will try to do a video soon on maintaining a good battery

I am planning to buy avenger cruise but my college friends say that go for street as I only need the bike for 5 to 6 km daily, please suggest me should I buy cruise or not because I like the cruise style more
Hello Shiwang, well if you like cruise I would say go for it. It does note make a lot of diff between cruise 220 and street 220 apart from the looks. If u wanted more mileage/liter then you will need to go for Avenger 150. I feel cruse is more an head turner than street coz of its flashy chrome.

which brand boxes are u using? can it be used for keeping clothes for long journey. or the bags will be better for more space?
Sam I use Studds hard case. It has a 23 ltr capacity and i have 2 which is 46 ltr. I was able to carry enough thing for one person for 3 days. But might not be enough for a very long trips, for that is have 75 ltr saddle bags. So i feel saddle bags have more capacity. But there are panniers with big capacity with huge rates which might not be value for money.

Hello Abhishek, Thank you for your interest in Sumod's accessories. Since he has sold his accessories to another Abispace Subscriber. I dont doubt if he will be making it anymore, he is planning for different style now. So what you can do is why dont u find a fabrication guy In Pune and Show him the video and ask him if he can make it like in the video which will be lot easier for you.
Not a bad idea, let me talk to one fabricator in Pune with the video. If it works out, I will post the link for you :). On same note, Sumod can even start selling his kits post making them in his workshop.
Abi... for the saree guard, can we remove the stock ones and replace it with the old avenger's saree guard? the old one has a pretty decent footrest compared to new ones.

Yes you may do that...there is no problem.
It takes a little practice to get it in neutral,I already mastered it

Hello Imperial, If your getting a new one then there is not a lot of maintenance. Its just ur services that you will need to do, which will be around 500 to 1000. First 3 services are free labor. Then you get 2 years warranty (if i am not wrong) also for the Bike. You dont have any monthly expenses.
i have a question. i own old model avenger 220, i want to change the handle, i like the new cruise handlebar. if i change put this handlebar in old avenger, do i also need to change the brakes, clutches etc wire too. or is the old wires long enough to fit with this?
I dont think you will need to change the cables as the old handle was not very different from the new cruise handle. Just measure the length of both the handle then u will know if you will need to change or not.

Hello Vj, what you can do is find out the dealer for Studds in your area and ask then to get you one from the factory.

My Personal opinion is that you have destroyed the look of bike it is looking more as carrier vehicle.. doing over modification destroyed the look of bike but might be in your perspective it is what you wanted .... All points for your efforts and hard work
And bringing the vehicle in neutral is too tedious ... it jumps between first and second and never stops in the mid!!!

Rakesh Chauhan I think Bajaj doesn't want the riders to put the bike in neutral.
The best way to put the bike in neutral is switch off the ignition and give a very light shift. Yes, it works. I don't know what is the real issue behind this. May be some clutch related design issues.
