What's cool is Todd was doing so much with analog. And he's survived long enough to have been able to play in the digital domain. A kid that found another candy store ;)
How come only one person has commented on this! Todd is the master of to try out many styles of music. This song is one of the best angry songs ever. Come on Todd deserves better.
@DizziNY1 it's more than that my friend- we were lied to by people who cared about us as well- even though it was well meaning,we were sold a bunch of lies and now society is based on a foundation of lies-
I love this song because he is saying all of then are lying and manipulating us to meet their own agendas. The them are the power hungry nutcases in this world.
I've been a Todd Rundgren fan since I bought his first "Nazz" album on my birthday on November 30th, 1969. I sent in a postcard from his fourth solo album in 1973 and my name is on a poster included on his fifth solo album released in 1974. (Fuzz Lord)I'm in the audience of his "Utopia Theme" recording live at the Fabulous Fox in my hometown of Atlanta. Many concerts, up to seeing the Liars tour in Jacksonville Beach, Fl, 5/15/2004. I spent a good chunk of my life savings attending his birthday bash at his house in Princeville, HI. in 2008. (did you know he has a creek flowing through his house?) ....in fact, I can't think of anything I DON'T know about Todd.
This entire CD is great! I had a bunch of my CD's stolen out of my truck & this one was the first I replaced.

That's the best record review statement of all time.
luv Todd!
Yep. Chick Corea, Jan Hammer and George Duke others that come to mind, albeit over in the Jazz/Fusion genres.
GREAT!

I like this album cover more.

Yeah...but he wrote it about Dubya.
Ironically it seems to be about just almost everyone these days. Very powerful song.

The recent Bengazi debacle brings this 2004 song into 2016 perspective. "Liar" describes Hillary Clinton to a "T"!
If you knew anything at all about Todd, you would not post this at all.

Agreed!!
That doesn't excuse your attempt to pervert the emphasis of his song for your own political foolishness.
A creek flowing through your house is awesome!!
