Love this mix and video
ha wowww so remember playing this non-stop back in the day
great mix!
This is one of my favorite videos because it melds classic hollywood with hip hop which she made huge at that time. It's sexy without being overt and a nice kiss off to a lame dude. The industry doesn't give her enough credit for paving the way for many artists to follow. Janet Jackson is another huge artist from the same period but she didn't show off her sexy side until 1990.
Summer 1990 fun dance music 5 24 2019 Thanks sobbed times peace 2019
I was already at Aerohead apartments in Wytheville, Virginia when they started re-releasing my music videos to the cable television that even already existed. I was watching even this on television and I knew who I was but I didn't get to get on the internet or talk to fans much. 43C in the middle section is where I was we called that section Northwinds not the office building. It may be the septic system that runs from the toilet that needs more hot water poured down it. I know I'm the one that used the bathroom there along time ago but I flushed, washed my hands and everything. After those parasites started showing up many of us didn't have time to do much of anything. But well, there were still real people there too resurrecting; you know, dropping from Heaven too though. They pretend to be all kinds of people. I usually just fill a few 2 liter bottles with hot water but even put more dial in it or even hand sanitizer might be a good idea. Other people have been living in those sections for a long time too. I haven't been there for a long time. @NewRiverValleyRegionalJail
I do not know what would Paula think about that but that is my opinion about the whole thing when it comes to the music nowadays!!!
FANTASTYCZNA KOBIETA I WOKALISTKA !!!
@radonna2007 The track was edited for the video when it was released as a single in Australia. The edited version may have appeared on the 7" vinyl single - but I don't know as I only have the cassette single which features the full length version. Obviously they had to edit out 'State of Attraction' for this video, as there was no video for that.
Yes, only edited for video purposes due to the length of the cross-over between STRAIGHT UP and KNOCKED OUT in the full-length version.
Also, STATE OF ATTRACTION, included in the full-length version, was never released as a single, thus an official video was never made.
This video skipped the “State of Atteaction” song that was part of the mix!
ok but madonnagm let's forget that for a minute my comment was I got this for Christmas good huh???..it's a great album huh????...I like to put it on the stereo and dance that my workout good huh dancing is a good workout huh?????
I really don’t understand why this was released exclusively here in Australia. I’m certain the United Kingdom got a release also.
Guess Paula must just love Australia...
At least I HOPE SO!!
No, it definitely only received a commercial release in Australia (possibly New Zealand too). I think mainly due to most of the 'Forever Your Girl' singles flopping on the charts here, they tried to push the remix album, after the success of 'Opposites Attract' - so we got 3 commercial singles from 'Shut Up and Dance', all in the space of 2 and a bit months, with this being the last.
@lti313 Whilst I understand your skepticism, I assure you this video is 'official'. It was only released as single in Australia (I have the cassette single), and so this video probably only aired in Australia, where it was a minor hit. If you look at the video again, you'll see it has a 'Showbiz' Video logo & title in part of it. I also have a copy recorded from the top 60 chart on Australian music video show 'Rage' in 1990.
Good stuff! I also have a few copies taped off of RAGE from that time. Awesome era!
Makes me think about BET and vj Donnie Simpson 😉
I'm not a parasite; I'm the real person that performed these songs. DNA still says I'm a real person. @NewRiverVALLEYRegionalJail
I have this and the album I got it for Christmas cool huh????....wish I could find You can Dance I had it on cassette but I was with my mom and the house flooded and it got ruined do you think Henry's would have it????....Henry's is a used record store in Houston ...I have Jennifer Lopez's remix album J to tha L-o it's pretty good also also wish I had Jody Watley's remix album forgot the title it also got ruined in that flood in '94
Yeah, but I guess they had to do that as there was no video for 'State of Attraction'.
andrew garica ftw!!
don't call names geez that's not nice Paula wouldn't want you calling them names there's room for everyone
