Jimmy this was the third video i watched but in the second video I watched the one with Hunters 440 jetski I mentioned you being the reason we all watch because you are a loyal, dependable, faithful, selfless, and true friend and the kind of person we all want for a friend! And this drop everything to rescue Merlin and Desiree proves what I said to be true. Thats the same reason I watch Fab Rats because that is how Paul is and thats what I liked about Merlin. In a day in age where there is no loyalty or accountablity for actions in much of the population good people and friends are harder to find, There was a time when a mans word was his bond, yes meant yes and no meant no! God bless you and yours real good!
Enjoyed the video! I like the way you explain everything and why you do it. Good instruction method!! Be interesting to find out just what failed on Merlins jet ski??
Unbelievable watching Jimmy pull that couch. Iv tried many times to pull home my friends/kids on skis behind my SuperJet. Safe to say you broke a top speed record doing that pull. WOW! Hahaha. So awesome to watch!
Great video! Now I have a good motivation to learn English so I can understand what is being said. I have a Kawa 650 jet ski too. And I want to redesign the cooling system too.
Those 98 gtx limited 951 have made me lots money over the years and I mean lots. But the twin Kaw were very dependable especially if taken care of and run quality oil. As was the old twin Yam's.
That's some pretty kewl information about the exhaust.I've never worked on a jet ski and wanted to learn about repairs as I've wanted a 'Stand-up' since they came out,but couldn't afford 1,or the time before now.Thank you Jimmy,I subbed a couple weeks ago and really like watching. All the learning, and allot of fun too.
I am so interested in watching Jim work an the knowledge he knows an I don't even own a jet ski the other cool thing is the area they live in its so close to the water that there's a whole community to tap into like I bet the Facebook market place has tons of boats an skis its just a cool area an k don't live there but from watching Jim an merlin you can get a feel
Hey Jim, new to your channel, I’m going to be going through my 89 and I want to re paint it as well. What paint did you use for this project? Looking great so far!!
Makes more top end (by a small margin) than the dry pipe mod. We are not done with this ski yet. Stay tuned, as we are going to take some pitch out of the impeller (it is currently too tall), and raise the rev limiter. I am hoping to get 42mph with the small carb and stock pipe. :-)
Thanks Jim, and you would say it makes about the same on the bottom? I have the dry pipe mod on one of my skis, but would save the work routing it this way on another I'm building
Hello Jimmy I like watching your videos , I have a 92 Kawasaki TS650 took the carburetor apart it’s CDK2 . My question is how many turn to set the High and Low on the carb.
I just put straight bars on with a finger throttle. The cable seems to be too short to keep it from turning all the way but it also doesn’t even pull the lever all the way back. Any tips?
You have to unclip the throttle cable from the plate the steering bolts to. Then you can pull another inch of cable and hook it back. As for the throttle cable itself, you have to adjust it at the carb to take the slack out, and use a jam nut on the finger throttle end to space it out.
I like the torch
Saving Merlin
U da man

Hell yeah baby 🤙😎🤙
Good Rescue Jimmy. What I like about your videos is you always try to reuse parts and use your stash to get these skis back on the water.
Jimmy. You are a natural and very knowledgable. Thanks
wow jim the ski you used to tow Merlin is a Beast !! Thanks for rescuing Merlin and sharing it with us .
I've never seen a standup tow anything, that's crazy! I guess those new big 4 strokes are good for something!!
that's a lot of spaghetti to get in that handle pull
For sure!
Man that stand up was pulling hard...great job Jimmy...
Gotta come in if you're out of beer...lol
Interesting assembly of that ski.
Everyone needs a friend like Jimmy (or Merlin).
Great video!

Another great video! Keep up the good work Jim! I've re used the OEM headpipe gaskets tons of times without issue. They're pretty resilient.
Thank you for the feedback. :-)
Good knowledge
Thank you. :-)
Thanks a lot

looks like the propane torch igniter came in hand.
Lol, right?!
Jimmy & Merlin need an actual TV show
How much fun would that be?!

It kind of reminds me of laugh-in
Hey Jim, new to your channel, I’m going to be going through my 89 and I want to re paint it as well. What paint did you use for this project? Looking great so far!!
I used nason Acrylic Enamel single stage paint. They sell it at the local auto parts store.. cool project. :-)
Where did you buy that T that goes into the head? I’m having a hard time finding one. Thanks.
Ill tell you later ! 🤫🤔🤐
Don’t forget!
How would you compare the performance of this method of running less water through the pipe, vs the "Dry Pipe Mod".

Hello Jimmy I like watching your videos , I have a 92 Kawasaki TS650 took the carburetor apart it’s CDK2 . My question is how many turn to set the High and Low on the carb.
Thank you. :-) Usually it's 1.5 turns out on the bottom, and 1 turn on the top.
Do we need too drill the water box as well before doing the exhaust reroute waterline?
No, you can wait till later. It all helps though.
I just put straight bars on with a finger throttle. The cable seems to be too short to keep it from turning all the way but it also doesn’t even pull the lever all the way back. Any tips?

@@jetskijim007Thank you! I got it good now. The new bars and throttle will take some time to get used to but like it so far.
Wish I could leave comments from my TV
Put it in second gear and pop the clutch!
