ngl I make my own beautiful villages on creative mode and spawn in like 1000 villagers, let them live a happy few days - then my plan comes into action. I place around 5-6 bells (depending on the village size) around the village. Then a bit further up I make a HUGE pillager tower filled with weapons and beds and all that. Then I lure them over to the village by putting a randomly chosen villager from my village in a boat next to the entrance of the pillager castle. Then I wait for at least 50-80 of them to notice and I get in the boat and row towards the village. Once we get to the village, I let them kill the villager in the boat as a ‘beginning’. After they swarm around the village I go around and ring each bell 3 times. The thing is, before I do all this I make all the doors iron so they cannot go inside the houses. After all the villagers die, I spawn in around 30 iron golems to kill off the pillagers. Once they have all died I set the village on fire and watch it burn down with the iron golems still there. Then I go as far away as possible, just enough to see the village in the far, far distance. I build a home and a lovely garden. But whenever I go to the garden, I see the burnt down village, usually still on fire. I do not feel any sympathy or regret.

Imo, there are two reasons why pillagers are more technologically advanced than villagers. 1. The villagers are complacent and rely on their protectors, such as the player or golems, to protect them, meanwhile the pillagers are outcasts and dont have those luxuries, as well as needing to be offensive instead of defensive, which leads to 2. The pillagers are more violent. In our history, most of our tech prowess is from wars and to be on top. Computing systems? Sonar and calculations. Automobiles? Tanks. Medicine? Battlefield tending.

Up until today I thought the pillagers were rogue villagers that were kicked out for used dark magic and witches to cast spells over the villages and we, as the player are here to save the village from the evil dictator, the evoker. ngl I make my own beautiful villages on creative mode and spawn in like 1000 villagers, let them live a happy few days - then my plan comes into action. I place around 5-6 bells (depending on the village size) around the village. Then a bit further up I make a HUGE pillager tower filled with weapons and beds and all that. Then I lure them over to the village by putting a randomly chosen villager from my village in a boat next to the entrance of the pillager castle. Then I wait for at least 50-80 of them to notice and I get in the boat and row towards the village. Once we get to the village, I let them kill the villager in the boat as a ‘beginning’. After they swarm around the village I go around and ring each bell 3 times. The thing is, before I do all this I make all the doors iron so they cannot go inside the houses. After all the villagers die, I spawn in around 30 iron golems to kill off the pillagers. Once they have all died I set the village on fire and watch it burn down with the iron golems still there. Then I go as far away as possible, just enough to see the village in the far, far distance. I build a home and a lovely garden. But whenever I go to the garden, I see the burnt down village, usually still on fire. I do not feel any sympathy or regret.

Imo, there are two reasons why pillagers are more technologically advanced than villagers.
1. The villagers are complacent and rely on their protectors, such as the player or golems, to protect them, meanwhile the pillagers are outcasts and dont have those luxuries, as well as needing to be offensive instead of defensive, which leads to
2. The pillagers are more violent. In our history, most of our tech prowess is from wars and to be on top. Computing systems? Sonar and calculations. Automobiles? Tanks. Medicine? Battlefield tending.

Up until today I thought the pillagers were rogue villagers that were kicked out for used dark magic and witches to cast spells over the villages and we, as the player are here to save the village from the evil dictator, the evoker.
