There's a reason in the music business they tell ya to NEVER believe what your 'friends and family' (On UA-cam as well?) tell you about your song stuff. NBT is kickin' out some bad ass tunes/music/melody, but to be objectively honest they need to slam on the brakes until they get a LYRICIST and VIDEOGRAPHER. Otherwise, these great tunes will have a very short and forgettable shelf life
@@Pinkpalmpuff332 I think music can be assessed not just on the basis of shelf life, or focusing on every song or album being a masterpiece. Music is an art form, and just like any artist, a band that consists of singers, songwriters, and melodists has the right to document their journey through creating + life. If the songs resonate with audiences NOW then that has value regardless if the songs keep being played 20 years from now. Also the video/visuals are in tune with the music/themes and I’m sure they have a great team of videographers, graphic designers, motion designers etc. if you don’t like the music it’s okay to say “it’s not my type of music, pass” but it gets iffy when you try to pass on an opinion as objectivity especially when art is subjective as hell.
I love that it goes from Billie Eilish and Nine Inch Nails to Muse, Marilyn Manson, and Queens of the Stone Age. It's a whole bunch of songs and sounds rolled into one. It's so cool!
The lyrics are genuinely beautiful and also the song is a cycle. Firstly by the theme of internet, or hotel or the line with feeling and healing who come back often but also: - I love the night but not the stars --> I get some pills but not some help - I lost a night or maybe two --> I lost the plot or maybe two - It may be rage or maybe hope --> I get the rage so live in hope - I’m at the stage that I fear the most --> I’m on a stage and I just can’t cope - I wanna know your phobia --> I wanna know euphoria (the phonic ressemblance in this one gets me every time) - Go on press send and we can make friends --> Go on press like and make my clicks spike - I crossed a line a life ago --> I lost a life a line ago - I might be dead but I just don’t know --> You might be here but I just don’t know (I know it's a little late but I needed to get that out)
The way Conor's voice alters to match each chapter of the song is brilliantly executed. He can start off really low on the scale and turn into a fantastic rock singer in a click of the finger. Great musicians with extraordinary attention to detail.
All don't say that about yourself everybody's cooling their own little weird way some are good at hiding it some are not I'm a dork all the time but I don't give a damn I love life
Wow! It's like three songs in one, with three different singers. I'm always so impressed with Conor's range of style, especially when it's in one song. And such fantastic riffs and rhythms, and the way it builds momentum and intensity... I LOVE IT! "Expect the unexpected" is right!
To be fair, they seem to be getting the recognition, look at how many listeners they currently have (on spotify at least,) almost 3 mil, that's more than Biffy, Hunna, Blossoms, rattlesnakes, slaves, idles, amd and by a lot more in most of those cases, clearly a lot of people loving this band rn, I remember around the time broken machine came out they were below a mil in listeners
I would definitely give them the award of album of the year if it wasnt for the strokes album "the new abnormal" - because that's a pretty damn good album.

Omfg this track is insanely good, the album will be a pure diamond ! They've planned to have a gig in Luxembourg next year, dunno if I'll be able to wait so long. Great job, I'm speechless.
Aside from last year's release of Tool's Fear Inoculum, I haven't bought music on physical media in well over a decade. I just ordered this album on CD and vinyl. If this is the apocalypse, at least I can still listen to this album when it all comes crashing down. It's insane how much they continue to improve as a band as their library of music continues to grow. Phobia is definitely my favorite so far. Time to listen to the rest of this damn thing!
That western inspired guitar before the transition is one of my fav things about this song, besides the lyrics and the change ups. That guitar sound just hits different.
Let's just state how incredible this visualiser is, matching the music so damn well?!? It might seem a bit too "slow" for what the message brings at first, but damn this one grew on me! To me both the music ànd visuals resonate A LOT with a very dark period me and my partner went through exactly a year ago. My partner suffers from multiple mental illnesses, which I knew from the beginning and don't have much issues with (someone is SO much more than his/hers problems/health). Due to circumstances out of our hands it's been a very intense 2 years, with last october and november my partner being on his worst. Having the most extréme moodswings, turning addicted to sleepmedication and misusing & mixing multiple medications and substances. I was worrying day and night, not wanting to leave the house but not standing the tension at home either. Not being helped by our care system as it should have been, not having family to fall back on, hitting wall after wall, everything got driven to a point it was unbearable for him physically and mostly mentally. This song helped the both of us so so much. Can describe it line by line. Every part of this song just had so many resemblances to our situation and carried some of our anger we felt we couldn't share with our environment. The visualiser pictures for me the intense feelings we went through in combination with one another. To me, I recognise both the connection, distancing as well the inner struggle. In the beginning I see a woman and man hugging and taking in eachother, sometimes pushing away while still intensely grabbing eachoter, then kind of getting more sensual but then transforming into almost clinging onto eachother, trying to hold on and desperately breathing in the other one. Then - for me the best part of the song - at 2:43 it turns to an overruling inner struggle from the man, a blury war with first his opponent (further on sometimes with the woman it even seems) progressing to a fight with himself. The symmetric Rorschach test-like images state this so wonderfully. (To me that is, not saying this was the intent when making the visuals.) Ending with "Well I could use some healing soon, before I lose all feeling soon"... That line and then the music hit me e-ve-ry time. Followed with as last image the woman digging her face in her man's neck. We hug a lot and this is a position we often take, face down and cheek / neck to neck. To me it's one of the most intimate close feelings. Not an official music video, but damn what a beauty this visualiser is. At last HUGE praise to the lines "I got some pills, but not some help." and "Remind me who the fuck are you??". We've been saying this since the 10 years we know eachother. Hearing it in this song was mindblowing to us to the point it even got somewhat scary haha, as if you were straight in our heads. We have felt so left out and abandoned by both the system as well our families, this song has been a warm blanket so many times. How little it might be, it did a lot for us, and still does. Not boring you with more details, my man's a bit better and we're still holding on for dear life most of the time. But thankful for not being in the dark pit we were last year and truly immensely grateful for your music and beautiful visuals. Just wanted to share and give some much deserved credit!

if there is power in each release, imagine when moral panic comes out complete
This band keep getting better and better 👌
I defo didn't listen to it in 2x speed without realising and was really upset bc theyre " normally so good" I thought the fast tinny sound was linked to 'phobia'.... brb gonna collect some braincells. (in real time it's so good hasn't disappointed as per, so so good)
"brb gonna collect some braincells"😂😂
Oh god I fookin adore their songs. Your music seriously makes my day
The year is 2021. We’re all vaccinated. We’re at an NBT concert. The song picks up and we all look at each other in the crowd knowing what’s coming next is going to be orgasmic to our ears. Conor tells us to start jumping, I COULD USE SOME HEALING TOO we scream jumping up and down while blue, purple and pink lights flicker around us. The moment is infinite ✨
Yes.
H.E.L.L Y.E.S
Please let that become reality, I can't wait to see them again
The most underrated band of all times.
Love your music 🖤 So glad I was at the O2 Arena in London on the 8th of October 💕
Who's gonna tell them lyric videos usually have more than 30% of the lyrics

@@sophiaferguson6412 Oh hey they changed the title, it was called a Lyric video before.

My family think I’m smiling at my phone because I’m texting a boy... haha NOPE I just saw NBT dropped a new song on us out of nowhere 😌💖
