True crime stories fascinate me . When there are so many true stories that are mind blowing who has time for fiction ?
It is a Neeraj Pandey project . Yes - the very man from The Wednesday & Special 26 - both absolutely awesome movies Special 26 was based on a real incident . I remember reading about that incident in India Today when I was a kid . A fake CBI team raided a jeweller in Mumbai & ran away with lot of bling . The I in CBI was fullformed as INTELLIGENCE rather than Investigation . The forger was probably a fan of the CIA . The lid could have been blown but tension terminates cognition
It is very gratifying to see India shed its harmful modesty & show Indian heroes in the strobelight . I had only seen Amit Lodha s name in TED talk thumbnail & knew nothing else about him . A true hero - an IITian who resisted the lure of the lucre for the grime of crime . His son escaped a grenade attack . Takes a special type of person to have death hanging in the air all the time & yet being excellent at his job . In a similar vein I am sure most people know Namby Narayan Sir only after his movie . I m sure someday there will be a definitive biopic on Dhirubhai Ambani which will show the world that he was arguably the world's most successful businessman . He was better than Steve Jobs or Elon Musk because he did not have an ecosystem to support him . He single handedly changed the mindset of a country where Elon Musk doesn't seem to even have a stable mind
Both the protagonists - Karan Tacker as Amit Lodha & Avinash Tiwary as Chandan Mahto ( Real name Pintu Mahto ) have done a really difficult job very well. There are no Bollywood tropes of the 70s here . No machismo , no fancy dialogues & swaggering body language in its conventional sense . Hats off to the cast & the director to not go beyond a limit to keep it real
The ending is depressing . It shows Mahto serving a prison term . ( Pintu Mahto is serving a life sentence ) Inspite of him being firmly within the confines of the law a deal has to be made to ensure he does'nt take revenge on police officers involved in getting him captured . This makes the legal system appear very non robust . Legal systems the world over are not as robust as they appear to be . There seems to be only one solution - greater use of technology - see the latest Robocop for really hard hitting & practical solutions
To sum it up - brilliant & thought provoking series
Maine apki series dekhi,bhaut hi umdda acting hai,but sorry to say that Khakee team ap log hindi belt k liy series banate hai,so ap kisi ke show me bhi hindi me bole,taki apse aur log connect ho sake। south indian actors ki tarah , don't ashamed speak hindi
