I've been binging The Tablo Podcast and I listened to this episode with one airpod in while holding a sleeping kid and I was sobbing with silent laughter. My husband thought I had lost my damn mind. Distinct possibility, but also I love listening to Tablo ramble about everything.

Tablo, i'll give u another scenario to ponder, this was a question in our metaphysics: personal identity final exam for philosophy major. ...... in the future, ppl can can use a machine to transport themselves from one planet to another (e.g. by degenerate all your cells from one place and rebuild it back up in another place like Star trek or the movie "the fly" with Jeff Goldblum). and one day you wanted to go to Mars from Earth and went inside the machine, but instead of just disappearing from the Earth machine and showing up inside the Mars machine, the cells were duplicated, so your Earth self stayed but another you appeared in Mars. you were identical at the very first moment, having the same memories, how you think, how you talk, etc.... but after the first moment, you unavoidably started to experience different things, started to accumulate different memories, met different people....... so the question in our final was: which one of these is Tablo? are they both Tablo? If not, who is what? of course in our answer we had to back it up with theories and different schools of thoughts, but it was a fun course, and this was back in the early 90s, before cloning was possible.
from the moment that the cloning process is over, Tablo_1 would start to have different memories from the original Tablo cause they wouldn't keep doing exactly same things/ interactions, places.
Tablo_1 could try to live the alternative life, doing something else for a living and tell the original Tablo how it is, or help him out if he needs holidays.. also from the law point of view it would be confusing
