First time I've seen this and it brought a tear to my eye. In my 50's now and live in Canada having moved here in 2007. A long term Spurs fan, member, season ticket holder who has been going to games since late 60's. So many good memories along with the bad and this brought so many back to me. Watching in anticipation for this season and keeping everything crossed. COYS. Thanks so much for sharing (subscribed).

No-one asks why it's called White Hart Lane. The white hart was the emblem of King Richard the Second. one of those late medieval monarchs (who in his case came to a sticky end). Similarly why is the club called Hotspur? Because the Earls of Northumberland, the Percy family, were stout supporters of the Plantagenet kings, and the most illustrious of them in battle was Henry Percy, nicknamed Hotspur (he gets a name check in Shakespeare's Richard the Second). As a result they were rewarded with land, not just in Northumberland but in what is now North London. This is why you arrive by train to watch Tottenham via White Hart Lane or Northumberland Park. So I believe that the authorities should think twice before re-naming railway stations - there's a load of history lurking in the background.

It was 1963 I was eight yrs old I paid my entrance fee sixpence boys enclosure there’s never been football like it the atmosphere was electric it’s our DNA football the way it’s meant to be played

My parents bought a Newsagents in Thackeray Ave. N17, my older brother took me to my first game at the Lane in 1958 under lights it was a friendly against Racing club De Paris now PSG. Tommy Harmer scored. I’ve supported them ever since. COYS

And so goodbye to my beloved White Hart Lane I have been going since I was 6. I was in a care home. I used to help the milkman the coal man collect pop bottles anything I could do to get a ticket.The care home locked the doors and took my shoes and socks away on a Saturday it didn't stop me. Seen so many fantastic players so many games. I still can't believe I will never stand in the shelf again. So if you ask me who was my favourite player of all time it would be Steven John Perryman the skipper he bought the best out of others like Hoddle Hazzard Ossie and so many more. Now let's move forward a new lane new shelf new park lane new songs new players new managers new staff but only one TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC. COYS

This video epitomises why I love Spurs. The history and the unbelievable players we've had. I could go on and on. But what makes the club is the fans. There's no atmosphere in football like there was at the Lane. And the new stadium is only going to make it better. No one out sings the Spurs fans.

When I think Tottenham this is immediately what comes to mind. All those cup wins and performances over the decades. We need an updated video if we can win the title this year. If we were to win the 2021 title it would only reinforce the year ending in one prophecy we have.
