People like Geonhu are angels. God knows how many such moments of engulfing anguish can push a distressed person to take such a step. Not only did he help Sunjae come out of it but he also reinforced the fact that Sunjae is his cherished friend.
Geonhu's character is just beyond appreciation...He is always there for his friends....and It's my theory that he confessed just to make things clear between haeyi and Seon Jae...so that seonjae could take quick action to tell her feelings to haeyi..
Sometimes, translation is lost and the things said aren't exactly the same as they should be. Like it basically meant the same but it's not really the same, translators just search for a translation that it's quicker for them to write out.

This scene reminds me of Kim Tan (Lee Min-ho) and Choi Young-do (Kim Woo-bin) from The Heirs. Kim Tan was sad and depressed when Cha Eun-sang (Park Shin-Hye) left Seol to go to another place and he went to the club and hit a guy outside the club while drunk. Choi Young-do save Kim Tan from the fight and soon after him and Kim Tan started fighting.
I think the writers and directors must have been smoking crack when they developed these episodes. These are four great kids, why are two of them caught up in a cheating scandal and one of them in hospital after almost getting killed by a mass murder? This is supposed to be a romantic comedy 'crash course in romance,' not 'stressed out and wanting to die in highschool.'
