Apparently, Jooheon's second line in the first verse got distributed to Wonho and Minhyuk, and the "Burn it Up" parts are distributed between Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk and Hyungwon now

Most people seem to think "this member is more popular than the others so he must get more lines" or “The company just wants more money, by showing off this member more often.” but that is not the case at all. In every song, not just KPop, consistency is important. A singer who has the best consistency is most likely to get more lines and parts than others. This is because he / she has a stronger voice and, if it comes down to it, is able to perform that song well during live performances without mistakes. In a lot of KPop groups there is a main singer and often a main rapper. These titles are not just given out for the fun of it. The title Main is given to singers, dancers and rappers who are the best or more respectively most capable members to play that part. Plus these members tend to have greater performance ability than the others in the group. (I'm not saying that the others are worse than them or anything). Of course, there is a line between neglect of vocal use and simply playing your position. With everything that an idol has to do in terms of performance, endurance is key. It's hard to sing and dance at the same time, so it almost always falls to the more stable vocalists in the group. This means that they will inevitably get more lines. Vocalists or rappers who do have the most lines or parts are the ones who can do both with little struggle or problem. Take Jungkook for example. He is the main vocalist in BTS and has a great vocal range. He is the second strongest vocalist in BTS and has the most relaxed singing technique out of all members in BTS. Jungkook doesn't tend to sing too high or too low notes in songs so his vocal range is limited this means that his voice is most suited to the main chunk of most of BTS' songs where vocal range isn't always important. Idols can choose their own lines a lot of the time but it is how they perform those lines that is important. If a certain vocalist, such as Minhyuk (Monsta X) and Jin (BTS) cannot handle those lines well they will give them to another vocalist or rapper who can. However they are not completely left out of the song. They are given parts that will fit their vocals and style better. This information also applies to Monsta X, just so people don't think I'm going off topic. The reason Kihyun has the most lines in a lot of Monsta X's songs is because of his vocal range and vocal ability. The problem that a lot of people have is that the other members is the group don't get as many lines at the main. This is because of the reasons stated above. However, those singers who don't get many lines aren't left out or limited to a certain number of lines they can sing. There is always, more often than not, a fluctuation in the distribution of lines. Take Minhyuk for example. In a lot of Monsta X's songs, you will definitely see the length of his parts being unbalanced, which is a good thing in my opinion. Comparing four of Monsta X's songs like: Queen: 3 seconds White Love: 15 seconds Mirotic: 14 seconds All In: 9 seconds you can definitely see this fluctuation happening. I hope this can help people to understand a lot better. You don't necessarily have to agree with me but just remember that I used to think the same way you did until I did my research. Of course, I could have gone into depth and gone through all of the members from both group's abilities but the comment would have gotten too long and it would eventually gone off track, so I decided to just use the strongest vocalists from both groups, Kihyun and Jungkook, and the vocalists who have been under fire for not having a lot of lines such as Minhyuk and Jin. Everyone understands why he gets more lines. We all want it to be more like he gets a smidge more. Not giant percentages more. Minhyuk got three damn seconds of singing. A little less than 2% of the song. There's nothing anyone can say to explain or justify it. Minhyuk did not sit and worry he was going to be eliminated because he was sick and couldn't sing well, just to win and debut but not have any use of his voice whatsoever.
On the bright side, he at least knows we all love and appreciate him and Monsta X. Via his words: "Basically... I'm not a special person. **crowd screams** Wait... Wait! Hold on, wait. I'm not a special person but when you call my name and Monsta X's name, you make me a special person."

I'm not sure you've ever seen the chart of the titles that go before rapper and vocalist: main, lead, sub, background (importance in that order)
Except, Kihyun is main and no one has "sub" or "background" meaning with four lead vocalists and one main, the main gets a little bit more than their almost equal leads.

Most people seem to think "this member is more popular than the others so he must get more lines" or “The company just wants more money, by showing off this member more often.” but that is not the case at all.
In every song, not just KPop, consistency is important. A singer who has the best consistency is most likely to get more lines and parts than others. This is because he / she has a stronger voice and, if it comes down to it, is able to perform that song well during live performances without mistakes.
In a lot of KPop groups there is a main singer and often a main rapper. These titles are not just given out for the fun of it. The title Main is given to singers, dancers and rappers who are the best or more respectively most capable members to play that part. Plus these members tend to have greater performance ability than the others in the group. (I'm not saying that the others are worse than them or anything). Of course, there is a line between neglect of vocal use and simply playing your position.
With everything that an idol has to do in terms of performance, endurance is key. It's hard to sing and dance at the same time, so it almost always falls to the more stable vocalists in the group. This means that they will inevitably get more lines. Vocalists or rappers who do have the most lines or parts are the ones who can do both with little struggle or problem. Take Jungkook for example. He is the main vocalist in BTS and has a great vocal range. He is the second strongest vocalist in BTS and has the most relaxed singing technique out of all members in BTS. Jungkook doesn't tend to sing too high or too low notes in songs so his vocal range is limited this means that his voice is most suited to the main chunk of most of BTS' songs where vocal range isn't always important. Idols can choose their own lines a lot of the time but it is how they perform those lines that is important. If a certain vocalist, such as Minhyuk (Monsta X) and Jin (BTS) cannot handle those lines well they will give them to another vocalist or rapper who can. However they are not completely left out of the song. They are given parts that will fit their vocals and style better.
This information also applies to Monsta X, just so people don't think I'm going off topic. The reason Kihyun has the most lines in a lot of Monsta X's songs is because of his vocal range and vocal ability.
The problem that a lot of people have is that the other members is the group don't get as many lines at the main. This is because of the reasons stated above. However, those singers who don't get many lines aren't left out or limited to a certain number of lines they can sing. There is always, more often than not, a fluctuation in the distribution of lines. Take Minhyuk for example. In a lot of Monsta X's songs, you will definitely see the length of his parts being unbalanced, which is a good thing in my opinion. Comparing four of Monsta X's songs like:
Queen: 3 seconds
White Love: 15 seconds
Mirotic: 14 seconds
All In: 9 seconds
you can definitely see this fluctuation happening.
I hope this can help people to understand a lot better. You don't necessarily have to agree with me but just remember that I used to think the same way you did until I did my research. Of course, I could have gone into depth and gone through all of the members from both group's abilities but the comment would have gotten too long and it would eventually gone off track, so I decided to just use the strongest vocalists from both groups, Kihyun and Jungkook, and the vocalists who have been under fire for not having a lot of lines such as Minhyuk and Jin.
