The Typical Glass Cannon, once everything goes to her way she'll shoot the enemy up trough the sky. Sadly Glass Cannon is glass cannon thus Enterprise or anyother crazy Barrage boss can decimate her... That's why i always either pair her with Belfast for smokescreen eva and Yukikaze's shield (might as well throw Illust if need more) also did you kno Blanc (HDN Ver) is one of the good Demon torp... Might be underatted cause HDN ship is somewhat luckluster cause collab Edit:is* P.s: HDN Ship Review/Thought? Love the video, have been waiting for it the entire weekend and it worth the wait :) Even though i think laffey is the best DD, i would admit Ayaya is the strongest DD in the game right now, team up Ayaya with jintsuu , and she become the absolute beast XD. BTW 5% gun prob is actually quite high especially with 76mm gun. it have been very consistent in activating the skill in my play through .

Glad you saw this then. You can't get her at all until you unlock her. Once you've unlocked her (same rule applies to other ships like Akashi as well), you will be able to build her.
Now that is a whole other rabbit hole for me to dig into, I hear her quest is unbelievably long to obtain her🤣 either way I just got ayanami’s new banquet skin and I can’t wait to use her once my Z23 and javelin are up to scratch.
Indeed 😊 I’m actually planning to clear the entire game without the use of flight carriers or battle cruisers so just the Three Starter ships although I might switch javelin out sorry queen and country just because ayanami might help with those sticky situations with grouped up bosses.
There's a certain three star main gun Ayanami can equip to maximize the effectiveness of her skill. Since it's based on the main gun being fired, the faster the better.

There certainly is a ship you missed on the list: USS Yorktown. I speculate that her ability to retaliate a shot recieved every 20 seconds with a carrier strike is good if you're better at surviving than the enemy. I've been wondering if Hammann, Yuugure and Fortune can be stacked to toughen Yorktown as she slowly grinds the enemy to dust.
Yorktown was added to the list. I guess for a PvP troll fleet that Frontline might work...but those characters probably won't last long.. In pvE...I'm not sure this is a good idea ..low damage isn't great and you should out DPS a boss not out tank it.

I use German magnetic torps since they're slow and at close ranges there's basically no dispersion, perfect for nuking bosses. That said, I hoping we'll have quintuple 610mm torps Sakura torps launcher someday, so I could try a maximum meme torps build with 2 rainbow torp and gold Sakura torps (of course with Jinstu and Fubuki for maximum meme). Also Ayanami isn't only a torpedo demon....If you know what I mean kappa
One tip I could give to everyone, her barrage is really good, and since she has low FP, using terrible guns with high ROF is a good idea for her. I use the Single 120mm gun. She throws out her barrage like once every 8 or 10 seconds with it upgraded to +6
The only problem i had with Ayanami is she keeps dying. And so I have to pair her with a tanky ship and Shouhou as jintsuu is also not tanky enough fighting a high level boss fleet. Evasion is basically praying to RNG, except for HMS DDs.
Were her new partner in crime jintsuu? But atleast as a honorable mention Also do understand shes not accessible for new players because 10-4 is just to brutal.

ewok40k as a Nimi user, and nimi lover, I have nothing against laffey users...however several other people in the sandy sever as I can tell have a problem with javelin and I personally think javelin is useful but not a lot

Third back line warrior is whatever I feel like inserting but since I have Nagato I now have to rethink my Normal boss fleet..... or fleet in general lol with the torpedo buff active I have seen her nearly one shot a level 80 boss when I face torped her.
Why you put hoaming torp to ayanami. She will deal more damage with duaqruple Japanese torp. I guarenteed my minimal damage its 6k maks 17k even more but ive seen on my screen the highest its 17k
I am well aware with the 610mm doing more damage. If they ever give us a Quint 610mm I'll probably switch to those. Right now, I prefer the slow speed & magnetic capabilities. I don't have to get right on top to face torpedo...since the speed + homing can still have all effectively hit the target...from a decent distance. I have lost Ayanami before attempting a face torpedo. (Tracker siren did her burst fire and my evasion RNG was bad...basically full - 0 hp'd her)

On EN its collection unlock (MLB all starters), then you can build her. No drop on EN (and CN i believe). On JP she should be on every map from W2 on (like Nimi on EN)
Ayanami and Jintsuu made my JP winter crown D-3 farming super easy, 1 shotting the Siren patrols right off the bat. I wasn't able to do it on NA, gear/stats not as good and only lv100 plus still working on Jintsuu
I saw the javelin video and it made me think I was not making the best use of my resources. Then I saw this video which says I need to max her out it anyways and felt less bad.

The moment when you want that torpedo damage: Boss: Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, your coming right at me? Ayanami: I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer. Boss: Oh ho! Then come as close as you like. *You get what's coming*
Amagi is easily the best BC. Super nice barrage and she prefers attacking often, so low CD guns / autoreloader / gold FCR. When in an IJN fleet, she fits right in by also staying aligned with the "quick burst" strategy other good IJN ships have. In PvP, her defensive skills are appreciated, trolling off 9% of the damage, helping backline evade other BBs and being able to immediately kill Ente off of a barrage if Amagi is placed across from her. PvE mobbing is strong bc her defensives help keep other ships alive by evading BB shots and reducing nasty burns while also sporting CL aux. She's useful in boss fleets that hit real hard. Using her a lot is easy because she brings a lot to the table without requiring fleet set ups, you can run her in a big or small fleet; Oathing is np, she'll get that 200 affinity. I'm also going to make her my first Awakened ship, since she'll be depended on a lot for the new W11.

Most if my dock space upgrades have been through gems given from the game...I've bought one of those packs a bit ago for some.

Because magnetic is more accurate for closed combat torpedoes..chance to hit all torps on 1 target is higher than quad 610mm torps..

I personally don't have Jintsuu yet. I have heard that Jintsuu and Ayanami are a pretty nasty duo. Fubuki works, but she'll only buff Ayanami.

Amagi is easily the best BC. Super nice barrage and she prefers attacking often, so low CD guns / autoreloader / gold FCR. When in an IJN fleet, she fits right in by also staying aligned with the "quick burst" strategy other good IJN ships have.
In PvP, her defensive skills are appreciated, trolling off 9% of the damage, helping backline evade other BBs and being able to immediately kill Ente off of a barrage if Amagi is placed across from her.
PvE mobbing is strong bc her defensives help keep other ships alive by evading BB shots and reducing nasty burns while also sporting CL aux. She's useful in boss fleets that hit real hard.
Using her a lot is easy because she brings a lot to the table without requiring fleet set ups, you can run her in a big or small fleet; Oathing is np, she'll get that 200 affinity. I'm also going to make her my first Awakened ship, since she'll be depended on a lot for the new W11.
