• enchufa doble
• para ti para mi
• dile que no coca-cola
• dile que no paseala
• rodeo
All steps are shown atiempo (dancing on 1, 2, 3... 5, 6, 7)
Follow's first step (1) is with the right foot
Lead's first step (1) is with the left foot.
All steps alternate from there.
If you keep an eye on the positions, cadence of the steps, and framing, you'll be on your way.

Danced (mainly slot) salsa for nearly four years and had no idea about how casino movements work. No one ever explained the pivoting action and no on ever explained how to get the "circularity" of movement. I think with your videos I'm well on my way. Thank you!!!!!

The only question is why is she stepping back in Dile que No. She should be stepping forward. It’s not Son dancing.
I do not enjoy the aesthetic of mandatory forward marching because it looks like people learned to dance at gunpoint.
She's a native Cuban dancer, and there are many ways people dance casino, which is important to acknowledge and show.
@@MessinaDance I get that. And I was wondering if she was Cuban since she has the dynamics. But in Cuba, women do NOT step backwards since they would be a step behind when the man turns. She would be like in the middle and the man has to make bigger steps. It’s not bc “at gunpoint.” It has an explanation for all the turns that Casina has. That way of dancing, like stepping backwards, is taught in Miami by ppl who doesn’t know otherwise. Thank you for your reply and I’m not criticizing you.
Another thing to consider, when one of your male students goes to Cuba to dance there, he will be a bit lost since he will be expecting women to step backwards, and they won’t since it’s not customary in Cuba.
What do I get if I can find native Cubans who step back on dile que no?
@@MessinaDanceStepping back comes from before the Revolution in Cuba bc classic Son dancing steps back; however, after the 70s, stepping forward became popular bc more turns and hand knots were added and women had an extra step by stepping forward. Also, you can find many more Cuban women who step forward. In my opinion, it even looks better and the dance looks more spread. Also, those accustomed to seeing a woman stepping back will get confused when they encounter a woman who steps forward. I know that from experience in Miami.
As to your question, it should not be hard to find one who steps forward. If you find one, you will have to deal with that and get accustomed. At the beginning, it's gonna be confusing but you'll eventually will get it. You'll see it's even better due to that extra step. The woman won't be in your way.
