I feel privileged to have heard this. It's why they never do group interviews, because it is Madness. They're 7 alphas who all want the microphone. But so great to hear the stories. This was like the seed interview for the book "When we was we". Just brilliant stuff.

I only can say thank you! Embarresment is my fav song, but the version of cardiac arrest is wonderful.

Yeah, they played well here, but I really wish they would play live just as the 6 original members of Madness, without the percussionist & brass section, just like they used to in the early days.

MrNuttylee7 I agree. 6 members should be enough to fill out the sound. Suggs' singing really has deteriorate over the years, He basically talks through the songs these days. I've always thought it would be interesting if Carl were to sing all the songs at a one off gig (if he was still in the band) technically he is a far better singer than Suggs.

They played as a 6 piece alone at their Electric Ballroom and Roundhouse gigs to celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2019.

I don’t think Chas Smash is a better singer than Suggs. All down to opinion but I think Chas’s singing can be ropey and I’m a massive fan of the band.
