I mean, great for Iceland, but I'm dreading anything produced in the Netherlands. "Yesh yesh, it has ze cheesy endcheeksh. Because it'll sound Gouda, you know?"
it is €4,990.00 on their site right now. No specs on the site but analog filters are mentioned. Hope the price comes down and they put up the final specs soon, as this is very interesting.
These are luxury tools made by very small groups of people for a very niche audience. Why do yall always expect every synth to be affordable and cater to budget-conscious musicians? If you want a cheap poly go buy a Behringer.
I loved this demo, it really gave me a sense of the possibilities with this synth. Some great sounds - and some sounded good whilst also causing me pain! This is really interesting and I look forward to seeing more as it moves towards production.
Super interesting ideas collected together in this synth. Big fan of the fader-based interface and preset system. Ingenious. Very interested to see how it develops.
Also I hope that here will be the FM matrix between oscillators (voices)! It will make this synth truly unique! For now it reminds me that Vermona synthesizer (separate monosynths in one) but with presets and effects.
Congrats Iceland ✌️ seems like it has Fabulous realtime performance potential. I wonder if you will have smooth transitions between preset changes? So perhaps the longer Envs and FX tail are not cut? It is great how you have wired everything to mix and play off of one another. The OSC triggering by note recalls the Mono/Poly. Can't wait to see/hear the release version🙏 Thx
Guys, you need to produce this in China or you'll not sell a lot (even for 2 grands, 5 is insane!). I suppose you'll sell just few hundreds if you're lucky.
Loving the style of it, that it is Icelandic, and that preset section which is very innovative, but I don't find the sound particularly interesting. And, based on this demonstration, the only thing volcanic about it is its name and the side panels...
Yeah, felt for the guy. He's clearly trying to convey something, I'm just not sure a lot of people will figure out what. If anyone did, please summarize below, because I just zoned out every time he started talking.
How do these people get these jobs? You see SonicState coming up and you talk about the endcaps and play the least impressive sound possible… only 4 mins in do you start telling us what it is, but still take another 3 minutes just to explain the architecture.
Make it 1 OSC analog and 1 OSC digital / additive synthesis, if you want to different than others make all circuitry THROUGH HOLE no SURFACE MOUNT as no body can compete with Behringer on Surface Mount , the cem3389 is back in production which can be a phenomenal multimode filter
Euhhhhhjhhhh volcano. Eeeeaayhhhhhh lava rock. Euahhhhhhhhhh this is the laugh I needed today holy shit they just live in another world. How many more overpriced bullshit units does the world need or want.
We don't know, but Teenage Engineering has only been testing the limits for roughly a decade, so give them another 20 years, and we'll probably have a pretty good answer.
The first thing I always want to know about any synth is - are the cheeks volcanic?
I'm definitely going to start checking
And the answer will always be “no” 😅 This one is quite unique!
Real simulated basalt-grain sides
😂😅🤣🌋🌋🌋🗻🗻🗻🏔🏔🏔

holy crap, price is insane
Non-adequate price! I hope it's because of the lava rock side panels )) I'll prefer simple plastic cheeks.
Haha so like you don’t even know if oscs will be digital or analog but you already ask for 4999? 😅
Makes my complaint about the Murmux costing $3k obsolete!🤣

Okay. This is genuinely interesting. The presets per section idea is fantastic. I look forward to seeing more about this as the year goes on.

This is the most interesting thing we've seen in this long NAMM weekend and they are not even at NAMM.
haha same, i thought its also recording from namm and thought wow finally something interesting this year;p
Thanks for this comment, I was almost put off by boring bleepy bloopy start, but thanks to you, I scrolled The video onwards. This one sounds awesome!
This is cool + great to see a synth from Iceland
Fantastic, really impressive.
Interesting unit, sounds cool! Keyra áfram, Ísland!
Super interesting ideas collected together in this synth. Big fan of the fader-based interface and preset system. Ingenious. Very interested to see how it develops.
The bleep blop world is amazed
holy hell, looks like fun, half way through.. did he say volcanic rock end cheeks?
Yes... Yes he did.
I love the sound of it
Ignore the trolls... You've made an incredible synthesizer!
Also I hope that here will be the FM matrix between oscillators (voices)! It will make this synth truly unique! For now it reminds me that Vermona synthesizer (separate monosynths in one) but with presets and effects.
Ohhh cross-modulation with this setup would lead to some truly epic sound design possibilities. Great idea!

Took a little bit for the demo to gather steam, but this is super interesting. Just hope they can’t bring the price down from the stratosphere.
Very creative stuff!!
Fascinating.
Ok looks like a very interesting concept. Looking forward to play with one, one day.
Is this the machine that goes ping?
PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 🥹
Wow...it's under 5k. How did they manage to do that?
They bought the lava rock in bulk.
Don’t see it on their site yet
Yeah, very interesting machine! I hope they will make it fully analog in the generative part (maybe digital LFOs, it's not a sin)!
Do the volcanic end cheeks add to the PWM?
The Popcorn song!
Some really neat ideas. €4999 is unrealistic if the objective is to sell more than a handful of them.
Yeah... At this point I'd save just a bit more and get the Analogue Solutions Maximus already
Checked out their website, they’re only selling 30 currently.
What's it (almost) sitting on?
i'm wondering if my Raven would look even more cool if it had volcanic cheeks.
So we can have this by xmas? Get some elves from up north on it?
Damn this sounds awesome. Seriously. The price is up there though at $5K but compared to other high end synths it may be the best value.

Oh no not again Icelandic volcano and lava. It´s so much "last year"🤣(I´m Icelandic)
it'll stick around for a while tho
24 presets????? Nord lead 2 from back in the day should be a mandatory study for new synth makers.
Loving the style of it, that it is Icelandic, and that preset section which is very innovative, but I don't find the sound particularly interesting. And, based on this demonstration, the only thing volcanic about it is its name and the side panels...
Pro tip: smoke your joint AFTER the presentation, not right before it!
For that amount of money why not size it for adults hands?
If you wanna stick to those tiny fader why not making different modules for eurocrack?
:)
£2000 without the volcanic end cheeks 🤣
I say yay! ...and then 5000eur :(
One of the worse synth demos I've ever seen wtf why would you spend all this money to make a synth and demo it like this haha
@@johnmesa2546 yeah aside from a small bit in the middle that was just unbelievably bad
True, but Iceland is a very sparsely populated country, so perhaps he's just not used to having to talk to other people.
Get someone else to demo it, That was DISASTROUS!!
Yeah, felt for the guy. He's clearly trying to convey something, I'm just not sure a lot of people will figure out what. If anyone did, please summarize below, because I just zoned out every time he started talking.
Came here for the lava. Stayed for the accent.
Really bad demo
5.K really? Noooooo
Lost me at no appregiator!!
who needs this?
something interesting in the sea of mediocrity
24 Presets equals 5K$, what a joke! 😂
How do these people get these jobs? You see SonicState coming up and you talk about the endcaps and play the least impressive sound possible… only 4 mins in do you start telling us what it is, but still take another 3 minutes just to explain the architecture.
I'll wait for the Behringer clone for $499
Is it broken? Sounds like volca keys.

another analog that sound the same and cost like a car?
