      @@yahoodlums thank you very much! I agree, wheels suit this bike well. As it was build for 17 but then 18 was chosen for more classic appearance…
      I might get a brighter bulb or check if it can be replaced with an led one.

    The mods you’ve done all work well together. Nothing seems out of place. The one that interests me most is actually the wheels. I haven’t priced something like that’s in the US but I’m sure it’s comparable. Great job all around.

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  6 місяців тому

      Thank you very much! If you decide to do the wheels, go wider on the rear rim than I did. I chose 3.75 for 150/70 tyre and I think I should have chosen 4.0 or even 4.25 and 150/60. This would look ‘cooler’

      Hi Gregory! Absolutely! I enjoyed every minute of it, all the ups and downs, wins and fails. Time well spent. However, it is still expensive. I made this video as a visual guide / price catalog for others who are looking for similar mods. Hope it is helpful.

    Best upgrade is the 17inch wheels for sure! People should look to install 17 inchers before they upgrade anything else because they completely transform the way the bike handles.
    Second best has to be the exhaust.. great weight savings and enhanced sound.
    All other upgrades are a matter of taste, with plenty of options for everyone to find exactly what they're looking for.
    Great video as always Max! (and thanks for sneakily mentioning me at 11:56 lol) We should do another video soon 💯

    Was very nicely surprised at the cost of the side bags! They look great as well.
    The indicators blend away into the bike so nicely! Very slick.
    I was admiring the rear mudguard and how minimal it looks. Gives the bike a nice side view as it doesn't jump out to much and gives the rear a 'higher' look 😀.

    Hey about the ebc i hope you know this. The pads will only be as good as the tyres and road surface you are on.
    If you have good tyres and good roads and the ebc hh is not good enough. I have a solution try ebc EPFA pads but your need to know that they are track level pads so a bit of heat is required . I have been using them for 12 years and i have saved my self from a lot of near crashes. You need to clean your discs and do the bedding procedure.
    And did the 17"rims reduce speed wobble issues.

      Hello and thank you very much for a good advice! There are a lot of knowledgable people on youtube, but only some of them can convey their knowledge / opinion to others with respect and encouragement, you are one of them, and thank you very much for this!
      I made a mistake after installing the sintered pads - I didn't clean the discs. However, I got used to the brakes now and they are fine for me. When the pads wear I will follow you advice and check for the difference!
      Thank you! Ride safe!

    Thanks for the video! I recently bought an interceptor, was thinking about changing the seat and found your channel. Please tell me, how do you like the k-speed seat, do you have a desire to change it to something else? • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  Місяць тому

      Hi! Congrats on the purchase! It is a fantastic bike! I owned two seats - the one from Bonvent and K-Speed. While, I prefer the look of the later, it is extremely uncomfortable for long rides. This is not an issue for me, because Inty is my short trip bike. I much prefer the Bonvent option. They have a really cool modular seat, there is a video on my channel about it. I can't comment on the MK design seat, as I've not used it.

    I can't believe the prices for some of these parts.. particularly BAAK.. £250 for handle bars.. they look superb of course, but I think motorcyclists are definitely ripped off by these kind of companies! Having said that, your bike looks great, love the channel and all your videos, keep them coming 😀 What about a paint job next? I'm currently modifying my own interceptor. Are you shortening your rear sub frame for that more compact look? Cheers Stewart 👌👍

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  6 місяців тому

      Hi Steward! Yes, unfortunately that’s the price you pay. And that’s Royal Enfield, if I had a bmw r9 t…forget it!! Baak is a bit crazy with their prices. I guess that’s their expenses plus their marketing. They don’t want to target affordable market, they are entry level premium. Which is cool, the quality is decent. But I wasn’t even considering their exhaust, seat, and other stuff. For the £250 you get the cable kit as well. It is overpriced too, but you win time as you don’t need to source it all separately, measure the length, etc.
      Thanks for the compliment about the bike!
      Yeah, they new paint job is a logical next step. That’s £800 alone. So I will wait a bit. Or probably just start a crowdfunding campaign:)
      I was thinking long about cutting the frame. I think I should do it. I was thinking about the resale value after this mod, but man.. the resale value even of a new and unmodified interceptor is ridiculous now… so why not!

Personal style... overall, the bike has a great stance ... My Interceptor, ravishing red,,, I swapped the front sprocket for lower engine seeds at 75mph... dropped perhaps 200... tour seat,... Cravin panniers... I may in time replace the hefty exhaust system.... I only got 5500 miles on the machine and it's a great bike. Fully agree with you Andrew and I know attention to details is my weakness, it took me a year to realize those ugly reflectors were there :) Thank you for the feedback! Great to hear that!

    The shinny part of the front forks is a bearing surface for the oil seal to slide on. It needs protection from grit and water. Why do you claim gaiters have no function?

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  26 днів тому

      Did I say something about the gaiters? I was talking about the front mudguard that is so short that it doesn't stop any mud.

      @@thesundayridesAt 2.33. you said "no function". "Gaiters" are another term for "fork covers". I have subscribed as I hope to get this bike

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  25 днів тому +1

      Oh I am so sorry to confuse you. I was pointing at the black metal tubes above the rubber gaiters. The ones above have no function as they cover non functional/not moving part of the fork. They are purely for the aesthetics. Good luck with sourcing the bike!

    I love the speedo.
    I would buy it without hesitation if I could set the mileage to match my stock speedo

    • @thesundayrides
      @thesundayrides  6 місяців тому +1

      I had exactly the same concern. You can probably to those who hack mileage and ask them to add mileage. I just kept the original clock and if a new owner (ever) needs it, its there all geniune
