If you don’t have anything to do with most of that stuff leftover unused pads and post partum stuff is greatly appreciated as a donation at womens shelters/domestic violence refuges for mamas without anything❤️
I’m having my baby in about 14 weeks and honestly I’m shocked to hear how long you bled for! 😱😱😱 I know there will be a lot of bleeding but didn’t know it can last months!! Thanks for sharing this!
Hey Aspyn! And anyone else who has had a baby! I recently learned about pelvic floor health. It is a good idea for anyone who has had a baby to see a physiotherapist who specializes in pelvic floor! To give you personalized excersizes to help strengthen those muscles that are unique to your body. 30% of women prolapse after having a baby and menopause. It isn’t talked about much. Hope a few people see this comment!
Am i the only one who cant accept the fact that men go through nothing like women do (several pains, throwing up for 3 months straight, blood tests all the time, being pretty much immobile, giving birth, tearing, feeding etc) and have baby too?! :(
There is hope for first time moms!!! My postpartum was the easiest part of my entire pregnancy and labor. My first and only baby is 4 weeks younger than cove and everything was so easy for me after :) I only had one tiny tear inside that took one minute for her to give me one stitch and I had no stinging after! I had always heard postpartum was the worst so I was prepared for the worst! But it was by far the easiest part for me! So there is hope!!
I think it would be very helpful if we heard Parker's point of view of everything just so we can get an idea of the hubby's point of view ! I loved the video btw its so helpful !!
They’re also pushing on your stomach to feel how firm your uterus (fundus) is. They want to make sure it’s nice and firm and if it’s not you’re at a very high risk to hemorrhage
As a mom who had a forceps vaginal birth and also a c-section I think this is a fantastic very honest and informative vlog. It needs to said even though everyone’s birth and recovery story is different I’m glad Aspen said how it was for her. My experience was very similar to how Aspen describes, It’s not glamorous but it’s very true. Both my sons are the best things that ever happened to me. Xx
Well.. Its official. Im afraid to have a baby😂 when parents an teachers are teaching teens to be abstinent they should educate them on everything she goes over in this video cause i can certainly say that I'm horrified😂 hospitals n blood terrify me😂
I like that you went over all of this. And the way you are talking feels like im just sitting down with a girlfriend and talking about having a baby/ post partum💕
One thing I’ve noticed after having a natural birth is, recovery is so much easier after my natural labor. Let me first say, I NEVER intended to have a natural birth, but it happened. Lol! Whenever I had an epidural my life was heck for two days. I couldn’t move! I couldn’t pee on my own! I had trouble. After having a natural birth, I was able to move, pee, walk around like a normal human just a couple hours after having her. It was INSANE! Yes, during labor, an epidural is by far the best way, but after birth I would prefer natural. By the way, I’ve had three kids. First two were epidural, last was natural.
Also there are contraptions you can buy to strengthen your muscles "down there". You can kegel on your own like on a regular basis doing normal every day things, or you can order kegel strengthening contraptions! They help a lot!
I’m 6 days postpartum. If it burns when you pee, also try cold water in the peri bottle instead of warm. It combats the sting. You can thank me later :)
I can’t wait until we start a family! We’ve been together for 10 years and we started a UA-cam channel to start capturing our journey! 💕 and baby cove gives me so much baby fever! 😭
Hahahaha “pee muscles” 😂😂 The peri and witch hazel was such a life saver! After my labor I felt good and could walk around. I think because I didn’t have an epidural. And maybe the epidural is what makes people feel like they got hit by a truck
"nothing has been sucking on your nipples before.. probably." 😂😂😂 I actually can't believe how different my c-sections experiences (3) were than your vaginal. The stomach pushing was EXCRUCIATING the whole time, obviously, because I had a new incision. My bladder muscles were fine. Obviously no swelling. I loved watching this!
I just had my 6 week postpartum appointment today and I’m so happy to hear everything healed up well. But my hospital didn’t give me most of that stuff, just the peri bottle lol NO numbing stuff. I asked them about it and the nurse looked at me like I was crazy lol. So I roughed it. 😂
Would you film a video about your breastfeeding journey so far and some in depth advice on successful breastfeeding? Love your videos! I’m 40 wks and 1 day...just waiting for baby girl to arrive.
I had 3 stitches and they irritated me also! I had one that seamed to pull just so slightly for 2 wks straight, it was so annoying! Peeing hurt for me, even with the Frida Baby bottle. Sometimes the pee would hit a healing spot and burn. And also, going number two wasn’t bad on the actually going part, it was pushing! Putting that pressure on myself, even if it was slight, made my who-ha feel like I was pushing it out. And I feel you on the swelling😩. My little girl was born 4-17-19, just a few months before yours! ❤️
The frida baby has a whole mom line now with ice pack pads and all kinds of other helpful stuff so theres not so many separate pieces. My stitches were awful too! Not gonna lie when they were loose enough and about to fall out I pulled them 🙊
Great video for new Moms! I wish I had you tube back when I gave birth. You brought back some crazy memories... the undies, pad, tucks, dermaplast and cream was like making a subway sandwich..and then you’d pray you didn’t drop anything. Too funny! Anyway, I’m way past the baby stage but I still like theses videos..brings me back to the past and remembering sweet times.
I am literally a teenager watching this but still found it so interesting! I definitely did not know about half the stuff that you go through after giving birth! Ps. Small UA-camr here!
That’s weird that you had to change rooms. I thought most units now were all in one. It was so nice being able to stay in the same room the entire time!
Thank you so much for this video. You told a lot that I have never hear before. My first was an emergency c section so I would love for a successful vbac but it's a choice I have not made up my mind yet for my next baby. This video helped so much.
I agree with the adult diapers!! I used them with my first and I will NOT be using them for this postpartum because they are made to absorb urine... not blood!! It was a total mess for me, I hated them. 😂😂
This whole video is pretty much identical to my experience! Cove and my baby Lily are 3 days apart. Cove was born on my babes due date actually! Lol anyways I definitely feel you on everything you said. ALSO I peed the hospital bed too 😂🤦🏻♀️ so weird that I literally couldn’t control it. It just came out and all I could do was laugh and say I’m sorry 😆 thank you for making this video. It’s raw and totally relatable.
Just want to say Not everyone gets to hold baby right away or for that long. Before I had my son I watched so many videos and read so many articles about what happens after birth and every single one of them said you get to hold your baby and you cuddle with her baby until it's time to do the stuff with the nurses. I just wanna throw it out there that not everybody gets that, I had a full term baby I held him for two seconds while my husband cut the cord then the NICU team took him to asses bc I spiked a temp during labor. I didn't get to hold him again for 2 days. Hardest thing ever. It's 7 months later and I'm still having a hard time with it, I try and be happy for all my friends that got to hold their babies and got a normal experience but I'm still envious because I never got that.
I had my baby boy 5 1/2 weeks ago and I ended up having to have a csection. I actually bled for a whole month (4 weeks 2 days) after I had him and I wore always discreet underwear and they were amazing! The underwear and pads the hospital provided for me weren’t that great. You are SO right when you said you feel like you got hit by a car afterwards.... Girl, I completely understand the pain from peeing. You actually don’t realize the muscles you use when peeing, and those are the muscles they cut when you have a csection, so it hurt SO bad when I went to pee for the longest.. I have watched every baby video you have posted while I was pregnant and they were all super helpful!!
I really want to know your belly healing process! Did you still look pregnant right after? / how long did it take for your belly to “deflate” and go back to normal?
Who else is not having a baby any time soon but is still watching all of Aspyn’s pregnancy related content?!
If you don’t have anything to do with most of that stuff leftover unused pads and post partum stuff is greatly appreciated as a donation at womens shelters/domestic violence refuges for mamas without anything❤️
I can’t be the only one who just died when Luma just hopped up and took the underwear 😂😂😂 and Aspyn’s face 😂😂 (5:44)
this video low key terrified me lol
“I thought it was inside out” 😂😂
7 weeks of bleeding?? Holy crap I had NO IDEA ☠️☠️☠️
I’m having my baby in about 14 weeks and honestly I’m shocked to hear how long you bled for! 😱😱😱 I know there will be a lot of bleeding but didn’t know it can last months!! Thanks for sharing this!

Pelvic floor PT!!! That pee issue isn’t something you just have to live with forever. The floor is a muscle and needs help restrengthening it.
i’m not even pregnant or going to be soon but i still love these videos 😂🤩
Am i the only one who cant accept the fact that men go through nothing like women do (several pains, throwing up for 3 months straight, blood tests all the time, being pretty much immobile, giving birth, tearing, feeding etc) and have baby too?! :(
This has made me so afraid to ever have a baby
I don’t know how Aspyn does everything at the same time (videos, baby, exercise, Instagram, vlogs) SUPER MOM!!
Oh no when you said it was “inside out” omg I literally lost it. Ouch ouch ouch 😭
Aspyn + Parker, *don't be afraid to make longer videos like this!!* We love them! 🙌🏼💗
There is hope for first time moms!!! My postpartum was the easiest part of my entire pregnancy and labor.

I love how aspyn is like the only youtuber who is genuine, honest yet pure
I love how candid / honest Aspyn was in this video
Yes SO itchy!!! So glad you mentioned that. These new mommas need to hear that lol!!!
I think it would be very helpful if we heard Parker's point of view of everything just so we can get an idea of the hubby's point of view ! I loved the video btw its so helpful !!
finally a candid postpartum video 🙌🏼
They’re also pushing on your stomach to feel how firm your uterus (fundus) is. They want to make sure it’s nice and firm and if it’s not you’re at a very high risk to hemorrhage
Im in nursing
School and I want to be a L&D nurse so this was so fun to watch! Thank you!!
25 MINUTES. THIS IS UNLIKE YALL HAHAHA
This is so helpful Aspen thank you!! I’m terrified of unknown so it’s so nice to hear things straight up
I have been watching you for YEARSSSS & am currently 7 weeks pregnant with my first 💛 your pregnancy videos are helping me out so much!!
"it feels like you get hit by a truck"... Okay not so sure if I still want kids 😂😂
Finally a youtuber who tells it like it is! So open and honest! This is the first video i’ve seen of someone really explaining indepth !
Luma pulling the hospital underwear is the best! 😂
I don’t think anything has described after birth down there better than, it looked inside out. 100% agree 😅
Aspyn’s face when Luma took the underwear 😂😂 5:44
Who else cannot wait to watch 25 days of COVE during Vlogmas?! 🎄
Love that you go in depth with the questions, and answer things that not everyone would answer!! love you

Thank you so much for being so open and honest!!! Women need to be more informed about their own body and I just learned so much! 💕💕
if every vlog was this length, i would die of happiness
Well.. Its official. Im afraid to have a baby😂 when parents an teachers are teaching teens to be abstinent they should educate them on everything she goes over in this video cause i can certainly say that I'm horrified😂 hospitals n blood terrify me😂

Appreciate your raw-ness here! Way to keep it real! Love!
This was SOOO helpful!! I watched every single second of it. I'm so glad that you went into detail and talked about things that most people don't.
Also there are contraptions you can buy to strengthen your muscles "down there". You can kegel on your own like on a regular basis doing normal every day things, or you can order kegel strengthening contraptions! They help a lot!

I’m having my baby next week! This was so helpful! Thank you for sharing your story!
i love how honest this is - thank you for always being a realist
Omg I’m so scared to have a baby but I want so many 😭😭😭😭
I can’t wait until we start a family! We’ve been together for 10 years and we started a UA-cam channel to start capturing our journey! 💕 and baby cove gives me so much baby fever! 😭

After my labor I felt good and could walk around. I think because I didn’t have an epidural. And maybe the epidural is what makes people feel like they got hit by a truck
What did you wear for pants while you had to wear the pads and everything? Leggings?
"nothing has been sucking on your nipples before.. probably." 😂😂😂

My periods are so heavy I have to wear the big purple always pads to bed and 90% of the time I still leak 😭😭😭

Did you experience any cramps with the bleeding during post partum?
I agree with the adult diapers!! I used them with my first and I will NOT be using them for this postpartum because they are made to absorb urine... not blood!! It was a total mess for me, I hated them. 😂😂

This video is everythinggggg!!! The bathroom pee muscle thing is so real, I had this same issue 🤣

Thank you so much for your openness and honesty! I’m coming up on 7 weeks and found this scary but even more helpful.

I’m absolutely terrified to have a baby😳
Due November 9th, :) having a baby girl! Love watching these videos, they really do help!
I really want to know your belly healing process! Did you still look pregnant right after? / how long did it take for your belly to “deflate” and go back to normal?
I was cut and torn 😭😭
This was really interesting! Thanks for sharing!!!
