Fisher’s Hornpipe is one of those hornpipes that sounds more like a reel to me because the notes are played more evenly. Can you please clarify the difference between hornpipes and Reels? A hornpipe like Boys of Blue Hill has a much more identifiable hornpipe rhythm. Thank you for clarifying this on a future video or in an answer to my comment.

Perhaps it's the style in which I'm playing it that makes it sound more like a reel to your ears. They are very similar! A hornpipe generally has a bit more emphasis on beats 1 and 3, resulting in a slightly "bouncier" rhythm.

This is a well done instruction! A constructive criticism, it would be good to have the entire tune in the opening intro sequence, instead of just the A part, since that can give a good feel how the parts feel and flow together. A constructive compliment , the pace is good, and the instruction clear and concise.
My friend Mr Fisher gave me the fiddle I'm learning on and I am grateful for the chance to learn a family favorite to share with him!!

Hi Toe - Thanks for watching. I like to keep my intros short for those looking to get into the tutorial quickly, but if you're interested in hearing the whole tune there are plenty of great covers right here on UA-cam!
