The reason i put the Polyphia hashtags in there is because they are a band that released a cool Nylon String/Metal/video/song the same day as this. They didn't use Nylocasters but it still came out very cool and I would even say SIMILAR in Vibe to this new Flametal song of mine. Good show chaps!

Your technique is amazing! I would like to hear this composition without drums in the background. Personally, I believe it would sound so much better without them.

I have only recently become aware of Ben because I watched another video of Ben playing the "Nylocaster" and was immediately impressed with this great virtuoso. Ben plays beautiful melodic lines, has impeccable technique, his fingerpicking is glorious and his shreds are accents, rather than overwhelming juvenile displays of technical alpha dog dominance. Ben is a fine musician.

As always I love your playing, Ben, and this is a particularly wonderful arrangement but I hate the programed percussion. To my ear, it gets in the way of my hearing your playing. Also, I have never seen anyone else do your style of hybrid picking. Did you learn it from someone else or did you invent it. If your the originator of using your index finger nail as a plectrum while alternately traditional finger style, then we should name the technique after you; like naming an alternating thumb style - Travis Picking🙂.
1. I have played in Flametal band and for Flamenco percussionists and dancers - with this experience in my ears, these drums are a natural progression, without that experience - I can see where it would be hard to understand. 2. I have been talking about my techniques #alternail and #altzapua for a couple years now, that's what I call em.

@@BenjaminWoods It's just a matter of taste. Sounds amazing nevertheless. Wonderful composition. P.S. plenty of drumless metal around. It would sound just as heavy and metal without them. The song has that dark hunting sound metal needs and plenty of flamenco twists and technique. I love it just the same Ben!. Regards from Spain!.

It's a Flamenco Guitar, my signature model actually (sold worldwide). I guess you think you know a lot about Flamenco? Please tell me what Flamenco is, because after 25 years of playing it with cante y baile apparently in your opinion I still dont know. Also, I want to point out you spelled "COMPAS" wrong. I have hundreds of videos here playing Flamenco. Give me a break. You have no idea of what you're talking about, and you have no idea of what I'm doing here.
