Nice to see the kata coming together! Great video. I love the way you explained the “linking” moves that are like the lines joining letters when you write. Great simple explanation! Thanks again for sharing. It is especially great for people like me who are stuck at home with medical issues, but still practice my Karate when I can.

This series shows a very key point or part of Karate that is missing in how it’s generally taught or exposed to everyday people & even those who maybe interested in learning Karate. These aspects of application need more of their time in the sun. Thank you for sharing & exploring them.

I have really enjoyed this, stolen some parts Too!
Motobu is a bad ass and you have put him back up above shotakant where he belongs 😂👍
Please do another seiunchin. Imo it's the best kata, it's all I practice as a kyokushin and kudo guy 👍

Smart. Love the letter-joining idea. Reckon I've spent a lot of time musing over applications for stitching moves. "Concentrate on the finger..." 😂

I'm sure you know this, but LOTS of Chinese forms have similar names for similar reasons, either numbering the steps, numbering the lines, or emphasizing that the form "links" the methods together. Shi Er Lu Tantui - 12 Road Spring Leg; Wubuquan - 5 Step Boxing; Lianhuanquan - Linking Fist; Lianbuquan - Linking Step (or "training steps," depending on the character); Luanjie - Praying Mantis mother form basically means "Chaotically Connected."

Thanks for the support! Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to make bespoke videos for those who request them on UA-cam. However, the good news is that there are full breakdowns of the all the Pinans in my app. There are also quite a few videos here on UA-cam that show applications for age-uke including this one: ua-cam.com/video/qlAqo2xDsWQ/v-deo.htmlsi=FzFG_vTLzJwGwFPT I hope that helps. Thanks once again for the support! All the best, Iain
