Needless to say, this has been an incredibly strange year. As I'm sure it has affected all of you, on our end, making videos and staying positive has been particularly challenging amongst all of the uncertainty. To make matters even more unpredictable, on his way back from practicing for a big Skydiving stunt (for the episode that was initially going to launch our podcast) Ammar got into a really bad car accident... He's better now but still very bruised and psychologically shook. Many have been asking questions about it so we wanted to put up a video to let you know that he's alright (considerably). I ran into Ammar one time in Santa Monica, and said OMG youre the guy from Yes Theory! He seemed really busy, was holding a camera, on the phone, and he literally dropped everything he was doing, smiled, introduced himself, shook my hand, and had a quick chat. Rare to find people who are genuinely nice..It was not his time to go, we need more love and positivity like Ammar and the whole Yes Theory crew. Appreciate all you guys do for the world, thank God youre alive!!!

Firefighter in NC here. I've seen wrecks that looked less severe that yours where people died, and it's safe to say you're lucky to be alive. Must be a reason for that!
I've swear I just saw this comment and then started your course on Skill share 5 minutes later (which I got two months free thanks to Yes theory) and then realised you're the same Sorelle
Ammar has one of the most beautiful souls i've ever encountered. If i'm lucky enough to ever have children, i'm going to try to teach them about this man. 11/10 decent lad
Truly as they said, manners maketh men .. As Muslims our role model is the prophet Muhammad, and he preached about manners but also walked the talk.. His friends said they have never seen anyone who smiled more than him.. The little girl would come up to him and take his hand , and he wouldn't leave her until he does what she wants from him..
well to be clear flying in commercial, scheduled airlines is wayyy safer than driving. general aviation is less safe than driving, skydiving is MUCH less safe than driving. source - a pilot
All the signs from morning was there, there has to be something wrong, sometimes you got that feeling and then you can do littery nothing and hope for the best.... LAW OF MURPHY !!
Julian HADDAD We have “two” lives, the first one is the one were we might not be living to the fullest potential, then you have a realization that this is the only life we got, thus the second life “begins.” That’s how I interpreted, hope it helps!
Ammar: "Don't wait until you're confronted with death for you to remember that you have this life" Wise words indeed. So grateful that you're unhurt!!!!
I have never met Ammar, but the thought of losing him in a year when we've lost so many, it felt like a close friend almost died. This is such a powerful video.
I was in a car accident. About a year ago, my 4 friends and I were driving home on a Friday night from a party, none of us were drunk, we didn’t drink. However, we got hit by a drunk driver that ran a red light. I was the only survivor. My friends died that night and it is to this day once of the worst experiences I’ve had. Never take anything for granted, always tell your loved one and friends you love them because you never know when you might see them for the last time. Amar, you and I are lucky to be alive. If you need help coping with it, just ask me. It was traumatic for me, took me weeks to get over it and still I have dreams of my friends, some of them are happy dreams but others are just nightmares, reliving the accident. Listen to what Amar has said guys, truly.
I love to hear that you get over that, because in my opiniomn it is one of the worst things that can happen... It's really nice, that you told us your story, thank you ❤️
I am so sorry to hear that man. You are so strong putting that message out. I would love to talk to you man, and get to hear your story. Love you man, so sorry for your loss.
About a year ago I was in a major accident. 3rd degree burns on 40% of my body. Still recovering, but Ive come a long way. Couple this with COVID-19 lockdown, Ive had it rough recently. This video is very inspiring. Thank you for always bringing positivity.
@@anythinganeverythingclips with all do respect, but if you really know what it's like to be depressed, you don't tell them to JUST be positive and JUST relax or BE happy. Life doesn't work that way. Trust me. Been there, done that
Imagine what Ammar's mom is feeling right now, to see her son so close to death and come back alive and still not being able to hug him, literally breaks my heart ngl :'(
His family doesn't give a shit about him. He is part of one of the greatest UA-cam channels ever created, helped build a wonderful community, and puts in a tremendous amount of work to live a life many of us can only dream of. What did his family do in return for his accomplishments? They disowned him. Watching his video on it was one of the saddest family situations I've seen. Ammar is an amazing man and his family refuses to see that.
I havent seen my mother in over a year and i recently had similar car accident, car is totaled and i walked out of it without a single scratch. Im gracefull to be alive and i can say i am thinking diferent now, life is in everything you do for yourself and people close to you. Dont waste it.
@@myrecommendedisallmemes That's actually not true at all. His family didn't disown him, it was his father who was angry with him because of him being in US and being away from them and doing the Yes Theory stuff, well because that's how some middle eastern households are, and told Ammar to either come back to Egypt or stay in the US and never return. Ammar chose to stay in the US which was the reason his father isn't on talking terms with him. His mother and the rest of his family are pretty good with him. I remember not long ago he took his mother and sister to pilgrimage in Makkah after all this. It's only his father that's not happy with him, others are alright with him. Kindly don't speak about things you don't know about.
Man I feel you. I was recently hit by a 60ft wave and swept out to sea. Me and 12 other nearly died and one of them broke 13 bones. I’m really lucky to be alive. It’s so weird that in your last moments, when you should feel the most panicked, you feel the calmest you’ve ever felt. My accident actually happened in October.
GLAD YOUT OKAY , I too have had a near death experience and changed my life . It’s only the moment you realize how fast life can put you in this world and take you out . I have no fear of nothing either
I love how the title is "grateful to be alive..." and not "the day i almost died" or "got hit by a car and this happened", i love u guys honestly, u r awesome
I do too sometimes but if you really think about it it’s fair. That’s why I don’t wanna die in the hospital on drugs I faced life and I will face death.. balance
Fun fact: being brain dead is the least painful death, no pain at all actually. Its simply your brain saying-“im tired of thinking, imma go to sleep too” and you die in your dreams.

This got me in tears not only of joy that he was still alive and came out with no scratches but the words he said were almost the exact thoughts I had a couple years ago 17th of march 2018 a day before my birthday... I also got into a car accident late at night around 1 am after a long day of work very tired foing back home on unfamiliar roads I lose control and fly of the road engine first almost 5 meters down and the car flipped a couple times before stopping on its back tires from falling backwards another five meters I also walked out the car with only a broken hand and just pain all over my body but I survived and no words can actually describe the feeling of seeing death flash infront of you and asking yourself so wait this is it? Ammar thank you so much for being strong enough to share this story and you still got a life ahead of you... Wish you all the best and "Seek Discomfort" is something I live by sometimes without even realizing it. I've lived like that my entire life. YES. YES. YES.
That is very true! I feel like a lot of people won't really remember it in such a chaotic moment, much of it comes down to how strong your iman is and fate obviously.
This is truly inspiring. I have had my mother pass away more than 3 years ago. I got a tattoo of a verse of my poem I wrote when I was in 8th grade and she passed away before my sophomore year. It says, "Live the life with the people you love" I have thought about this verse plenty of times, sometimes in the dark days and sometimes when I just need that little confidence. You are who you are when you are with the people you love. I want to do a lot of things before I die but I don't have the friends to do it. I want to find people that want to live their life, I want to be with people that want to do more with their life. I watch this and I get inspired to try to live life to the fullest, and I want to try to connect with people and learn their stories and become intertwined in people's lives. I hope everyone has a great day, and find the things you love and keep them forever because you never will know when you won't have them anymore.
Ammar’s time on earth isn’t done yet because he still has millions to inspire. Higher power’s know that his journey to change lives has only just started.

I was the passenger in a car accident 9 years ago. My bf at the time was driving me home, we did a left turn and the car skidded because the road was wet. We did a turn and my side of the car smashed into a light post. I remember screaming just before we hit. I closed my eyes and braced myself. In that exact moment before we hit I felt so much peace like I accepted that this was the end. After we bounced off the pole I opened my eyes and was covered in glass, the car was caved in just behind me. To this day I flinch and hold on tight when I'm with someone and they do a quick turn. Not that I dont trust them it's just a reflex now.
Four years ago I was in a fatal high speed offroading accident which tragically took the lives of my two best mates who I'd grown up with right since we were just toddlers, and yet I got away with nothing but just very minor cuts and bruises. Nothing can ever express the level of guilt that I feel towards the families of those that lost their lives from right beside me. We were right there together having a blast, then the next second they're gone from my side and I'm left almost completely unscathed. Why me😩 They both deserved to live far more than I ever did!
I couldn’t imagine it. It would feel like that happened to one of my family members. Just the thought brings a very sad feeling. Also I got my seek discomfort merch a few days ago too!
In December of last year, a year to the day after losing my grandfather, I was in a horrible accident. I was ejected through the back window of the truck that rolled (this was about two weeks after an surgery). I remember the lights of the oncoming car, the sensation of being thrown around the cab of the truck and then coming to outside of the truck looking at a 8 foot drop I could have taken and broken my neck. I was ejected from a truck that rolled and have only a scar on the small of my back to show for it. One of the first thoughts I had was "this isn't what I meant by seek discomfort." I know this is a month late but I still think about that day almost every day. Sending love, man.
Thank goodness you’re okay, Ammar. That sounds absolutely horrifying. Someone or something was looking out for you that day, and for good reason. Your insight is very inspiring following the incident, I do hope you are feeling better physically and emotionally.
"There is nothing to fear, not even death itself." Ammar, Yes Theory, the Fans, everyone who has ever been apart of or wanted to be apart of something bigger than yourself, you've done that thing. You're here in the now, reading this hand written message from another human being across the world, that you'll likely never meet in person, but you got to meet my brain and I got to meet Yes Theory, and we all get to share this together. Ammar, I am so sorry you had to experience such an intense experience, but I am SO GRATEFUL you lived to tell the tale. It is surreal how sometimes we find ourselves in moments of pure peacefulness, even when the world is crashing down around us. You are blessed. You are meant to be here. Now was too early for you and God said, Ammar, you need to stay here to keep doing good, and to keep being a positive light for millions and millions of people. You're like a modern day prophet my man. You have so much power and influence here, and you are such a positive and inspirational icon to many that I believe if you continue on the righteous path, you may do some real good, and implement some real change to the planet as a whole. This is a big impact from you boys, but I have so much faith in all of you... Congratulations on all of your success, and Godspeed to all of you. Blessings from me, to all of you.
We hear all of this amazing advice around us every single day to the point where many seem cliche. "Don't take life for granted" "Do what you love". And many of us ignore it because it's said so often. Yes we know it but we don't feel it, we haven't experienced it and so we don't act until it's too late. Watching these Yes Theory videos have made me realize that these "cliche" quotes are some of the most valuable advice we will ever get in life.
I had my car fall on top of me almost exactly one year ago... and ammars words really resonated in my mind today and truly made me feel better about working on my car once again. it’s been terrifying to ever get back underneath my car and actually be myself again. im going to go on and open up my own shop with my buddies. ammar, im very glad you’re okay after experiencing a car accident. love you guys
To Ammar: A few years back I got into an extremely bad car wreck. We were on a main road going 50 mph when a man going 87 mph hit the median, became airborne, crossed four lanes of traffic, slammed into the front left side of our car, spun the car and rolled us into a ditch. It’s funny because it wasn’t even a five minute drive and I thought of not wearing my seatbelt. My mom, brother and I were all fine, and after just settling a six year lawsuit for medical bills, I put it behind me. God works in mysterious ways, and I know he has a sense of humor. I know this, because of saving my family’s’ lives, as well as the countless opportunities he has given me. Love the message. I am glad you are okay. I hope that you know this video positively effected me and reminded me of the grace I get day in and day out. P.S. Thank you for not being selfish and thinking of others immediately after you got out of the car❤️❤️❤️.
“Hold on to your reason of why you want to be here.” - Ammar this was so powerful! So glad God protected you and you could think of your mom’s prayers during this time. God really has big plans for you, you’re blessed that nothing happened to you❤️ material stuff come and go, but our lives don’t.

I was in a car crash 4 or so odd days ago. I was really depressed because of it. Losing a car etc. But watching this really gave me the realization that I need to appreciate my life more. Appreciate that everyone was okay and that I was okay. Thank you Ammar this video was a huge wake-up call for me. :)
Want to start off by saying I'm glad you're okay! And wow 4 days ago I was in an accident too and this comment perfectly described how I felt after watching this.
im not religious at all but im sure, that day someone was looking over ammar, and they thought "this is too early for ammar, people need his happiness and inspiration"
I also had a car accident and shortly before the impact i spoke “Oh my God“, so my car in the End was a total wreck but i was totally fine and without a bruise. And im still thinking God saved my Life in this Moment
"hold on to your reason of why you wanna be here." I've never had a statement affect me so profoundly and emotionally as this one. It comes at a very challenging point in my life and reminds me that not everything is as bad as it seems. Thank you so much.
Man there's just something about seeing this in 2020 that just makes you think a lot more about this, we've lost so many normal people right through to legends. Awful year
My brother got into a car accident with three other friends. The car was totalled and by a freak of nature everyone came away with minimal/zero injuries. I remember seeing the car completely totalled (which was brought off the road into our driveway) yet my brother was fine. Things just didn't compute, and I walked past it and went to school. After I arrived at school and sat down, things just went quiet. The totalled car was etched in my brain. Then I just started to ball my eyes out uncontrollably, because I realised I could've lost my big bro. These sudden disasters could happen to you or your loved ones. Cherish all forms of life while you have it instead of when it fades out in a horrific car crash.
Faith can take you on great heights of circumstances. You are an amazing man and whether your a muslim, christian, buddhist, whatever religion or an atheist when all those forces on earth listens to your heart who have shared, inspired and truly live the essence of humanity, it was earth saying i still need you and more people you could inspire.
I needed to hear Ammar's words. I've been in a dark place for weeks now, having suicidal thoughts and almost did it. But upon hearing Ammar's words, he helped me realize what I'm losing and what I'm not seeing. Thank you Ammar and I really hope you're okay and healthy.
After seeing this video I'm amazed. My friend just lost his life past weekend due to a terrible accident. I'm glad you walked out alive because everything you showed happened at the accident of my friends which one didn't make it and the other is in icu. Life is crazy please drive safe and be safe everyone
It's crazy this happened just a month after my own crash that changed my perspective on a lot of things. I've been very confused and scared lately. I'm 17 years old and i got into my first car crash on july 27th. The accident was completely my fault, I totaled 2 cars and somehow no one was injured. I put my friend, the passenger in my car, and the person i ran into in grave danger. and just like you I can't believe no air bags went off, no one was even scratched. Hell it felt like i was playing bumper cars when I T-boned this guys tiny little car with my decently sized truck. Since the accident i haven't been able to drive a car. I tried once with my grandpa and had a panic attack the moment i got back onto the busy road. my friend was amazing through the whole thing and i can't help but think they are just as scared as I am but just don't want to say anything. I haven't spoke to the guy I ran into since the crash, he was so nice to me and I can't imagine whats going through his head either. we were all so young. He was only a couple years older than me. I'm too scared to get back on the road in fear of making the same mistake and i hate how nice everyone has been to me since the crash. It's just so confusing and I don't understand why I didn't have more consequences when i clearly deserved them. I cry thinking about the potential to KILL another living person, no. Three living people in this accident. I keep getting told i just need to shake this off and get back on the road. and while it would be nice to do that considering i've been pathetically asking everyone to take me places because i can't do it by myself, i can't bring myself to accept what happened and move on. I don't know when i can accept or how to start healing. and i feel like a garbage human for being so hung up about this while others in this situation had it way worse. I'm glad you are alright Ammar. I'm so happy you are alive and well.
The same thing happened to me in January of 2019. I was only 18 years old and I got into a car accident that ended up damaging 4 other cars. Completely my fault. I also had panic attacks and was terrified of driving. Try to start small, as if you’re learning how to drive again. Drive in parking lots, on roads and work your way up to a busy street or a highway once you’re comfortable. Please realize that these things happen and as long as everyone is okay, you don’t need to beat yourself up over it.
It is ok to be scared. It is ok to ask for help. It is ok to need time. Don’t rush yourself, take it bit by bit until you’re able to drive at least somewhat normally again. You may never be able to drive in the same confidence you did in the past, but that’s ok because you’re learning and you’re more cautious now which can be a good thing ❤️ take care of yourself, it’ll get better with time.
Would it help if you shared these thoughts with the other people involved in the accident. Maybe if you got their opinions it might help. Since they seem like nice people hopefully they'll be cool
I once almost crash a car with my friends inside when i was learning because of a very stupid mistake . I was so scared and also thought about all the things that could've gone wrong. But there i was... alive with all my friends safe and I couldnt help but to feel grateful and happy that i got another chance to do it and make sure i put a safe driver on the road... What "could've happend" is pointless at this point because reality is, it didn't happend and we got a whole new chance with a more awareness and better sense of responsibility... You'll be a great driver, because you care. Good luck!
I rolled my car in a similar way once and I remember the sound as well, the impact of each roll and the feeling as all the windows blew out and hundreds of shards of glass scrapped by my face. I walked away with only a scratch too. Two weeks later I flew to Spain and learnt to skydive. That was four years ago now.

Glad he's ok. I too had a really bad accident in which me and my friend walked away with minor scrapes. Skipped skydiving and ended up in a car accident. I feel like now the phrase that flying is safer than driving kind of comes in place
They say that the most dangerous part about flying is the drive to the airport.
There were a lot of signs that he shouldn't have skydived so this felt like a final destination movie in a way
well to be clear flying in commercial, scheduled airlines is wayyy safer than driving. general aviation is less safe than driving, skydiving is MUCH less safe than driving.

One of the first thoughts I had was "this isn't what I meant by seek discomfort."

Good luck!
Give yourself the time to deal with the trauma and don't push yourself too much. Take small steps into recovering.
i just started crying. I'm so happy he is okay. this is kinda eye opening
Wow. Amazing.
I’m happy you’re here today.
We just witnessed a miracle right here! My dad got into similar car accident. Only God can explain how he survived from it without any injuries 🙏
Car company builds very Safe Car.
Religious people: ah god did this!!!
Hiiiiiiiii
Here before this comment blows up!!
Stay safe everyone! 💞
@@Krautstaude yeah, thats why a lot of people die in car accidents! Also, i love how you just love to want to put people and their faith down with a rude remark of a joke. You're an absolute amazing and considerate human 🥰
@@pandaa3049 it's the 21th century. Believing in a strange guy in the clouds ist a little bit outdated. And believing that it is not the car that saved him but god sounds reeeeally strange. But I respect people's believes. Some believe in Santa some in god
this year tried to take another legend....
but he refused.
This just made me think about my family, how much I love my mother an son and how lucky I am in my time of struggle an discomfort they are to be in my life. Thanks guys 🙏❤️
Man i dunno why I'm crying I'm just so happy he's okay after that accident 😭.. god still has plans for you
U wouldn't even realize how impactful this video is.
“Don’t wait until you’re confronted with death to remember that 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.” -Ammar
The same happened to me .. and it was like a rebirth ; i couldn't see my life clearly before that moment and now i'm enjoying every single piece of life .. its starts from enjoying breathing fresh air to caring and helping the loved ones .. your family, good real friends , your pets and all the animals , nature and everything .. and trust me its feels good that at some point you will not believe that it was always there and you were passing by it most of the time before..
WOW. I really resonated when you said, “don’t wait to be confronted by death to remind you, you have this life to live.”
That’s so unbelievably true.
Ugh, so crazy. You had a divine intervention. Very happy you’re okay. 🙏🏼♥️
How could someone be able to dislike a video like this.
Stop asking such a stupid question.
Their phone was probably upside down

As a pilot, I’ve had those days, where things just seem to be like dominos, and I’ll be out at the plane ready to go and sometimes you just say it isn’t a good day to fly. And i don’t fly when i feel that, cuz i know it’s for a reason,
SubhanAllah, I see his name is Ammar, so I know that he is Muslim, so as he was explaining his calmness,I was thinking is he going to speak about his faith and he says that he proclaimed the shahadah. MashaAllah my brother, props to you.
You got good Iman. May the Lord continue to bless you and protect you.
And may you take this new life that you have and use it for something beneficial for your hereafter.
Many Muslims die every day, many non Muslims survive car crashes, plane crashes and even worse. It has nothing absolutely nothing to do with shahahda

Biobele right but as ammar said we say shahada as our last speech not to be save from the accident or anything but God is good and it’s always up to him to take your life or not :)
God bless you all hope your all blessed ammar is blessed he is calm and ok thankfully he is close to his country with out his parents most people need there parents to remind them and it reaminds the parents about there country and the fact that he doesent need anyone and that is amazing. God bless you all
Btw I'm not doing this for likes on my comment I'm doing this because I want to spread the positivity in life and make people go on with life.
@@chiiasharif if I don't die in the next 24 hours then your shahda is imaginary, just something that doesn't work but just makes you feel good so also imaginery Alahh an imaginary being that doesn't exist but was created by a man from the 6th century who was even uneducated by 6th century standards so... Yeah
Glad he's ok. I too had a really bad accident in which me and my friend walked away with minor scrapes. The cops didn't even ask questions, they were just in disbelief that we were alive and told us to go home to our families. I completely relate to not being afraid of death after thinking, in fact in the moment, knowing, that you're about to die. I had nightmares every night for a year, but what I walked away with in the long run is that it can all end at any time, and it is a part of life. I'm happy to be alive, and I never take it for granted.
