She's actually not that educated on the subject. She played into a lot of anti gun rhetoric and terminology that further allows people to be misinformed on guns. For example, stating she owns an assault rifle. In which she does not. An AR-15 is not an "assault rifle" 🤦🏽♂️ but by simply stating that, the general public now thinks soooo they are assault rifles..why does anyone need an assault rifle? Who are they assaulting? No one said that, because EVERYONE UNDERSTOOD that he needed guns to protect his Family!

They sit there and say that you can put in the hours at work to earn the money to re-purchase what was stolen, and it isn't worth a life. @MrDevinGlbson- I am an Army veteran and member of the American Legion. There are many parts of our constitution that we hold dear, defend, and practice on a daily basis. There are MANY examples we can use where firearms actually saved lives against criminals and evil people. Taking away guns will not prevent murder. There are knives, swords, bow and arrow, etc. that can be used in their place, but imagine a world where a bigger, stronger person weilds such a weapon! A firearm acts as an equalizer to unlawful force and desired harm by evil people and criminals, and in many cases, a deterrent for would-be crimes.

Love how the other people are mad about it but she doesn’t care about their feelings.
We can all take a clue from that.
Love that conservative woman!
Trump 2024!
Wow, she is well educated about guns this is what the average American that possesses guns looks like, we are not freaks we do not want to go out and shoot people up, it's just fun and good protection for women. And kudos to the professor who is allowing this discussion!
He thought he was going to make her look bad though I'd bet🤣
She's actually not that educated on the subject. She played into a lot of anti gun rhetoric and terminology that further allows people to be misinformed on guns. For example, stating she owns an assault rifle. In which she does not. An AR-15 is not an "assault rifle" 🤦🏽♂️ but by simply stating that, the general public now thinks soooo they are assault rifles..why does anyone need an assault rifle? Who are they assaulting? Because the name alone insinuates that it is meant to assault something or someone. And for that purpose alone, "nobody should have one" because it's only meant to do "bad" things.
@@MrDionstarrr not that deep. Shes 18 shes atleast somewhat knowledgable and thats what were getting at.
@@rrrealqueen it's that deep. Because I'll tell you where there is an assault, it's on our Rights and our freedom to own firearms. For us to defend our family, our land, and our very way of life. Don't tell me it's not that deep. There's a fkn war going on and we're losing it.
I’m sure he thought she’d be easy to overwhelm and stereotype. Watch the body language.
The sheer ignorance and mental programming of our younger generation of Aussies is downright embarrassing. It is a truly sad loss that when I was younger we were well informed, rational and lived in completely zero fear. Back then we grew up to be adults but today we grow up and become bigger more frightened children.
I’m a Gen z Australian and we aren’t all brainwashed but it’s not just the younger generation mate Gen x are scared of guns too
That young lady did a great job, representing the pragmatism and wisdom
of legally owning a firearm.
She delivered her concepts with intelligence and kindness; a Win-Win for everyone in that class.
Occasionally, when people discuss guns, in a negative light, or fundamentally say, "Guns are Bad", I remind them that "Pa Ingalls" from "Little House on the Prairie", owned Shotguns, to protect his Family from harm; whether that harm came from animals or humans.
And let's face it: When we watched the SHOW,
"Little House on the Prairie",
NO VIEWERS were saying,
"Pa Ingalls is a bad man, because he owns guns!!"
No one said that, because EVERYONE UNDERSTOOD that he needed guns to protect his Family!
Very true! And the same for The Walton's. 💯💯
Teaching students and not just trying to program them is such a relief to see isn’t completely gone
Anti-gun Position: "Why do you value your belongings more than a person's life?"
Pro-gun position: "Why do you value my belongings more than your life?"
Personally, I don't understand how people can be so passive and cowardly that they can justify someone breaking into someone's home to steal someone's belongings. They sit there and say that you can put in the hours at work to earn the money to re-purchase what was stolen, and it isn't worth a life. Well, if I can put in the hours to earn the money for what I want, so can the people breaking into my home. Their warning was the locked door.
Moreover, the elephant in the room, is the criminal (tyrant) wearing a suit or a badge that doesn't heed the locked door warning either.

Was he a "liberal" professor or our assumption again?
The second amendment helps prevent the government from abolishing the second amendment. Without it, we lose everything.
This professor does this in his class a lot. He does a great job trying to encourage thinking. He does a lot of conversations about race, and stereotypes.
It's not just the young lady's beliefs, it's her backbone that stands out.
This professor actually does a good job revealing the woke stuff. I’ve watched many lectures of his and he has to play devils advocate in order to un-brainwash these kids.
Emily, now that's my girl, you go, you know the truth! 😘
Something that bugs me is the people thinking criminals actually get permits for guns! That's why we need to be able to protect ourselves. I personally stay away from "gun free zones" as much as possible! I am thankful I live in Texas!!!!
Exactly!! If guns were outlawed . . The gangs, petty theives, & Cartels will Still get & market them via the black market. I suspect the large drug cartels are providing many of the “street guns” out there . . .

I have seen this professor in action before-he is a genuine person only interested in the truth-the objective truth.
Owning a gun has nothing to do with having a feeling of power, guns are tools that a person should know how to use them properly and safely!
I disagree. Being in possession of knowledge and a tool that allows you to protect people if something bad should happen is a very empowering feeling.
Nothing wrong with feeling empowered, better than feeling like a coward
I love this professor. He is actually interested in fostering THOUGHT and promoting healthy debates, or in this case, discussion.
Kids get in this house right now and go to your rooms, Devin Gibson just posted.
No gun is an assault gun. Until it is used in an assault. Then that gun is the only an assault gun. Not any other guns.
it is still just a firearm, the action is done by the person holding it. assault is an action and an object does not act.
Law abiding gun owners do NOT assault other law abiding citizens with their guns. Only the non-law-abiding person who threatens their well-being!
Thank you!! It's funny that they don't say assault car or assault bat ect.
If I welded a bayonet lug on a Daisy BB gun, it would be classified as an “assault rifle”.
Who would assault anything with that?

Kudo's to him that I cannot tell what his position is, which is what is called GREAT teaching! Devin, on your points...killing is not a sin, murder is. If you kill someone on accident, say someone runs out in front of you and hit them with your car, or you take someone out in self-defense or in defense of another innocent, that is not sin. Intent is the difference.

People are the threat, not guns.
It's a shame that she didn't use Philadelphia as a case study. It's incredibly hard to legally own and carry a weapon in Philadelphia, yet people get shot dead all of the time.
You are allowed to CC in Philly just like the rest of the state. There are just two problems: 1. Too many Federally-managed sites in Old City where the feds get to infringe your right and 2. Hard to actually BUY one in the city. Your carry permit is "shall issue", even in Philly County, and then buy your gun in the 'burbs. Oh, but no open carry.
Good news is that it's not a sin to defend yourself and your family. We are commanded to do just that.

I was a cab driver, one of my regular clients, a far left liberal, asked my opinion of gun control. I told him that I think everyone over 16 should have a firearm at all times. Shocked he questioned me as to why so I used his brain against him. A natural thought process is to fill in the blanks so I asked if he was in a city somewhere waiting at a bus stop and there was a group of thugs harassing him and I walked up, would he want to know that I had my gun or wonder if I did. In an instant his eyes got wide. He was shocked and replied that he never thought about it that way.
I didn’t plan on getting one. Then I had my house broken into a few months ago. It was the 4th time in 3 years, I’m sick of this shit. Police do nothing to help every time. Next time I’ll be ready

I've seen this professor before, teaching critical thinking about racism with the police. He is excellent and open minded... we need more like him in education.
I almost want to thank the Professor for letting this Class Room have an Honest Discussion on the 2A Subject! It's our Right as an American
Not only will the NRA stand up for your 2nd Amendment rights, but so will other corporations and organizations such as the American Legion and VFW. Look them up. Join if you are eligible and help keep the 2nd Amendment strong forever!
There are much better options than the NRA.
Real questions, real answers. Well done! Thank you to the professor.

That professor is one of the most exemplary I've seen become popular online. He doesn't try to sell his personal politics or ethical views, but does a damned good job getting students to interrogate and examine their own views, values and ethics. He doesn't let anybody off the hook when it comes to launching a bad argument, brings out facts and information that make right and left squirm with equal discomfort. This was many years ago now, it has gotten so much worse, but I'm so happy to see him still teaching and being the consummate academic he's supposed to be.

I'm so tired of the argument "well don't you think if people were just not allowed to have guns that gun violence would be non-existent?" No, because the illegal arms trade is huge. Criminals might be prevented from purchasing firearms legally but they have other ways to procure firearms and those ways are actually preferred because the firearms are untraceable that way. Laws only effect law abiding citizens.
The 10 Commandments were also written for law breakers!
