I think this episode shows the difference between a dedicated person who has fallen on on hard times and an ignorant person who causes the failure of their restaurant.

They look the same on the outside but they are different.
TRUE
That's why this is my favorite episode
Jeremias Lazo nah bro more like the owner, he was so ignorant towards his staff, and the staff did their best to keep it going but the owner didn’t want to see the reality of things
I searched the Hotel up and they are now offering rooms for a 3 month lease for those who were not able to find a place during COVID. Lovely to see them use the hotel to give back to the community. Truly a heartwarming episode, they really deserved all the help they got.

David has such a great personality. He didn't deserve that car accident.

I actually felt close to tears with this, they are genuine people who are on the brink, with bad circumstances and a hard time on their shoulders. They are so greatful for everything it's hard not to feel something for them. Damn that's amazing!
Thank God
This is news
Am glad
Let’s Go and yay!🥺✨
Gordon is not an asshole he is just too sincere and frank of his emotions. He is just too real
Respect this man
He's professional, he tells the truth because he want to help people change and grow.
And people cant handle his true to heart opinions,
Worth a grain of salt but one of my coworkers said her parents met him before and he was nice and super great guy to talk to. Just seems to get tired of people's bullshit and laziness when it comes to food.
When he seems angry, it's partially for TV ratings, but mostly because he's upset that people aren't reaching their potential and he's desperately trying to hammer them into shape for their sakes. It's really because he cares.
For the people who thinks Gordon is a mean person(because of his shouting), this video shows that he has a pure heart and this video even made me cry
Well, I would say it is because people are so naive and arrogant to see their mistakes. These owners are wizened and experienced so I would say Gordon felt bad because they weren't mean assholes like every other owner. Apart from that, They should be retired by the looks of their ages. This is fucking amazing.
Same, i was so touched, i knew gordon was a nice person since he shouted at shit owners cuz he wanted them to improve, but i didnt think he'd go this far for them :"")
He only shouts because they either are assholes or they signed up for it
Unless they are workers who are just total assholes themselves Gordon is relatively calm around people. It's also not until things get real nasty and dangerous with rotten food and dirty kitchens does he heighten his volume.
This video made me tear up a little too when I seen tsuki crying tears of joy
Update for June 2020: Hotel Chester has a 4.8 rating!

This episode is a prime example of how Gordon really isn’t a mean person at all. He is simply very passionate. He cares deeply about what he does and he will always go out of his way to help good people.
This episode went beyond Hotel Hell. This became a personal, heartfelt matter quickly. The two of them were clearly trying their best, after all they'd been through. They weren't failing because they didn't care. They were just two lovely souls who were down on their luck, hard. From adding the robata grill for Sukie to express herself, and her love of cooking, in a way that still holds a Japanese flair, to Gordon renting them both a beautiful place to live for a half a year out of his own pocket just so they could be happier, and have a healthier marriage and life. This is what makes television, and people, great.
God bless.
Do you know if they still kept the apartment Gordon rented for them?
Julianne Marie Bejar I mean, they’re doing well business wise so they either moved out to a house or living with no rent issues

Gordon is only 'mean' to people who are incompetent, lazy or do not show responsibility and accountability with their jobs. He's got zero time for others peoples bullshit and egos. He's no where near as harsh with the people who actually work for him or with people who are genuinely in need of help and willing to make changes.

This is proof that Gordon doesn't just blame everything on the owners. He genuinely sees when there's a problem with how they're choosing to manage and when there's a problem with the way they're running the place because they simply have no other options.
When he blames shit on the owners it is truly the owners fault.
Watching him one most his shows you think he's a jack ass. But if you watch his other stuff you learn he's one of best people this planet has to offer

One major reason he is so hard on chefs in the kitchen, is because he wants them to bring out their full potential.

People saying Gordon is an ass and all.
Gordon is a human being, you treat him respectfully, he gives it back.
Most of the episodes are awful people who care little, give attitude or just dont have any pride in themselves to earn Gordon's respect.
Suki and her spouse and family treated Gordon with humility and respect, and henceforth the end result.
He is a lovely ass
I agree with you. Plus, many of the other owners have no idea what they're doing. This guy is trained in the industry and was just suffering from the effects of the car crash. He knew enough to follow Gordon's lead instead of saying he knew better (even when they're the ones that invite GR in!). The couple are back on their feet (no pun intended), with good reviews.
Little Miho I agree
True

The best thing in the world is seeing a sweet old lady being happy
With how harsh Gordon can be I think people forget how great of a philanthropist he is. He has helped so many hotels and restaurants but also has helped lift people up emotionally hes just such a great guy and I think people forget that sometimes
The thing with Gordon Ramsay is people don't understand that he doesn't want to be a hardass. The problem with so many restaurants and hotels are the owners who are severely deluded as to their fortunes and why their businesses are struggling. The owners here absolutely needed help. Suki was open with how she had no formal training as a chef. They lost their house and almost everything because of the horrific car accident. They were humble and knew they were in bad times, and Gordon knew they would be the most appreciative of a fresh start
When people think Gordon is some ass he’s actually a man full of love and compassion period!
It all depends on what he decides he needs to fix. If you're the problem, he'll fix you, even if he has to break your will in order to do it. If it's circumstances, then he'll devote the same tireless energy to tackling the circumstances.

Probably one of my favorite “blunt and truthful but useful and caring” type of people I have ever witnessed. I would love to learn from him, even if I get my pride torn to pieces, I’ll suck it up and keep on going. The world is cruel out there and his criticisms will mold me, break me, fix me, and upgrade me.

The most important is that hes a great human
I think the ones that succeeded would ask to pay him back, but I don't know if gordon would want it, I mean, he probally makes well more than what he paid from episode viewers.
How come it’s always heartbreaking when someone old is struggling?
Ilthese seemed like good people. Parents, too. It would murder me, of my parents struggled like that.
They are one of the best people who actually asked Gordon's help. As a married couple they stand by their Oath, of it was any other person they would have separated ages ago (in sickness and in health, SUKI THE REAL MVP), Gordon saw them and really wanted to help em by heart.
Unlike some other who argues when asking for help lol.

Some people aren't fortunate in older years or younger. I am guessing you don't understand that? I mean, I don't wanna assume but...I don't think you've struggled in life yet.
because ususally when we see old people we expect that their struggling days are over. back when they were young. we dont expect them to still be struggling, thats just sad.

@@Skilliard Chef Gordon only acts like an asshole from owners who're in denial, but these people seem to be great full and are worthy. Gordon is a good man, it's just the way he acts
Iiverpool , I'm sorry that your trash
You could see Sukie knew what was coming in the apartment. She was literally fighting her own hope. But once Gordon confirmed it was all for them, she finally accepted it. The color came back into her face. She laughed and cried and ran around like a kid. Suddenly the future didn't hold only worry and dread. Her hope was back. Gotta be one of the most meaningful moments on any of Gordon's shows
Suki truly a woman to look up to! She never lost hope or gave up during rough times!! Much love to both!! Strongest woman ever!❤️
Japanese are disciplined that way
E Y I don’t know man... captain marvels pretty buff.
@@buddafingaz2743 he or she means mentally, not physically also thats a fictional character but still maybe the "strongest woman ever" is a overstatement i would say Suki is still strong.
just faize captain marvels hella strong even mentally, she had to deal with memory loss, her teammates dying in battle, needing to fight against what used to be a friend, and she wasn’t scared to look dead into the eyes and fight freaking THANOS of all people.
Buddafingaz legend
"id kiss him in the big ol lips" LOOOL "next scene kisses in the cheek" O YES DADDY

Gordon has a big mouth, but his heart is a thousand times bigger. A true legend of our time!

Seeing Dave find his motivation again. Wanting to help the chiefs and seeing his smile. And sue’s reaction to everything was so wholesome, she had tears in her eyes. It shows when Gordon finds someone truly deserving, and someone he knows can do good. He is willing to so much to help them
Imagine Gordon Ramsay doing a hotel hell on Hotel Transylvania
Rohan Agrawal THE PLACE IS DISGUSTING!... THE FOOD IS FUCKING RAW!!!
Rohan Agrawal I think that would be more scarier than anything.

WHERE'S THE LAMB SAUCE!!
Gordon Ramsay: World famous chef, professional disser, part time life changer.
Best description of him possible
Don't forget part time psychiatrists because he did better change people than Dr Phil
When I went to Starkville to visit my dad, we thought it would be cool to look around. We got to meet the staff and the owners and they were sooo sweet😍💕.All around really good people.(p.s. thank you to everyone who liked my comment!😊)
Sakura 16 is the business doing well?
Huskki Hello and to answer you question, yes. When we went in the first time there wasn’t many people because the restaurant part wasn’t really opened yet and it was the day time. However another time we saw the place was at night and there was tons of people at the bar outside and you could see more people inside the restaurant too. Day time not so much but at night the place comes alive so yes I would say the place is doing quite well.
Sakura 16 awesome, these people deserve to have a good business.

*Never seen more deserving owners, seeing them be so thankful was beautiful to see.*
Man, Gordon Ramsay helped so many people.
The people who disliked this were to busy crying and missed the like button
Probably the other shitty and arrogant owners from past episodes lol
@@shrek187 yep 😂
@Elijah ASMR did not what?
Pastel _Cherry like it
@@greenbean1432 oh ok thx 😅
The fact that Gordon could’ve only given them that new Hotel Chester sign and they would’ve been eternally grateful shows how deserving and genuine these owners were.
They probably found his lamb sauce

One of the few people on Gordon’s show that actually deserves all the help they get, the chef was nice and never really argued with Ramsey and wasn’t in complete denial like literally almost every other person was.
I am gobsmacked at what Gordon did. Good for him and to the show for agreeing. This is what one wants to see. Good things happening to good people
100% agree. He definitely did a lot for them, this makeover in particular seems a lot more in depth, personal, and a lot pricier then others. I think he really saw the potential in them and how far they had fallen and knew that doing this for them was without a question what needed to happen. God bless him.
Gobsmacked😂
Show? He is the show and owns the show. He probably spent his own money not the shows cash
This couple was so unbelievably kind and truly wanted their business to succeed. The only reason that they fell behind financially was because of the husband’s accident, which the wife put up with completely and without complaint. I am so glad that for all of the people that Gordon could go all out for, it was them. They deserved it so damn much.
It's probably Gordon's own money since he has hundreds of millions and only last year he made over 60 million so this is pocket change for him, still very nice what he did to this couple in struggle.
