It's the kind of advice that would make me smile if it was given in a domestic circle, but in the "big world," it would be out of place as a joke, and dangerous if taken seriously.
When I read the title, I think to myself: "Hmm, that sounds like a stupid title." Then the British guy says the title and I think (with a British accent): "Well that sounds rather elegant! 🤔". 😂🤣
The irony is that he's Dutch born and raised in the NL. But his accent is on point.

While watching, i find myself squealing like teenage girls way too many times!! It’s far from cheesy, it’s meaningful and romantic. Book lovers would LOVE this movie!

I have watched this seven times in four days since finding it on Netflix. Great actors, good story, and it’s a wonderful distraction from all the ugliness in politics. Amelia Maugery’s distressed, “I understand nothing. Nothing,” breaks my heart each time.

This movie is SOOO much more interesting than the trailer suggests. The trailer seems to portray it as a romance between Juliet and Dawsey, but it has so many other stories and characters.

I have been trying to find a way to watch this movie since it came out in April! It’s one of my absolute fave novels and I was running out of options, short of flying to England and seeing it in the cinema there. Thank you so much for getting this, Netflix!

On Goodreads I voted for this book in: Best Book Ever. It made me cry and laugh in train full of people. Looked like and idiot and didn´t care. I have to add I have this aversion against books with real war themes, pacifist in me is crying out loud CRIME! But this book is beautiful. Beautiful.

I'm so excited that this came out!! I was on vacation 3 years ago and the only book they had in my language was this! I read it twice and I was thinking - why isn't this popular? Only randomly found out about this movie yesterday and I must say - I'm in love ❤
now that i’ve actually seen the film i notice that this trailer focuses very heavily on the romance, which is wonderful don’t get me wrong, but there’s SO MUCH more to this story
I agree. This had the potential to be a series. Each character was so beautifully written and engaging. Seeing from any one of their perspectives' would also make for a great tale, like Elizabeth's heroic journey or Isola trying to find a husband. Any one of the characters would've been a good protagonist. Except Mark of course, bit of a vanilla candle if you ask me. (Basic)
This movie may not be perfect, but it is full of heart. If you are tired of cynical movies, then definitely watch this. But if you like the romance genre, then it is just a must see.
I'm currently reading this book,can't wait to enjoy my sweet time finishing it and watch this movie.
