Electribe 101 were such a polished act, especially with Billy Ray Martin's amazing voice.Shame that this was TOTP's lipsync / mime era, so no Billy Ray singing here, and the synth players are doing their best to play along. Someone at the BBC must have thought, grab a load of those DX7's and set them up on X Stands, yeah that looks cool, oh yeah, but don't bother plugging them in!I think nearly every band of that era ended up with those same DX7s if they were on TOTP.
Yeah, the Canny Remix '98 is STUNNING to say the least, whereas 'this' is quite tame in comparison. I found it surprising how that remix was largely overlooked by the mainstream (in the UK anyway), despite it being played heavily for a number of weeks by specialist DJs on Radio 1 (such as Pete Tong and Judge Jules) - unfortunately (as I recall), the mainstream radio, chose to focus their attentions on THAT Stardust record, along with the quite terrible, NEEDIN' U, by David Morales (amongst many others).
Don't forget the original is the CLASSIC that blessed many underground house music parties and underground dance clubs all around the globe when it first dropped in 1990. Miami, NYC, Berlin, U.K., Paris etc had burned this track out 8 years before Canny mix...

lipsync was the era, no-one really cared, everyone new the tracks were made in someone's bedroom :-)
Billie Ray, kraut pout.
Love the lip sync at 2:14
It's a great track and performance, but I don't think that vocal is live :-)
Top of the Pops wouldn't let anyone sing live
