In this video the Great American Eclipse of 2024 was going right through my home area and here is a short video of all of the action. In the video I do a few different time lapse videos of the eclipse from different angle using my NEW Insta 360 Camera.
I know there will probably be several different Eclipse videos on UA-cam but here is what we saw from my own backyard. Overall I felt the entire thing was just awesome. We had about 4 minutes of totality here. We live in a pretty rural area but when it got dark everything just got quiet and I even heard of some coyotes howling and roosters crowing.

When it was a total eclipse it looked like sunrise and sunset all at the same time. Pretty cool.
Yes it was a cool experience.
The best time-lapse videos I've seen so far. We are in the 97% path - some darkness, not nearly what I expected. It was barely dark enough to activate the day/night lamp on the garage. Thanks.
In the Timelapse part of this video you can see the porch light come on and off on my barn

Nice video. I live about 25 miles south of Darke Co. When the totality of the eclipse occured here it was definitely cool. Our barn yard light came on.

I was not to far from your view as I was in New Madison. The quiet was not what I expected. Pretty neat for sure.
It was about 90 to 95% coverage here where I’m at in north central Indiana.
The large open area in the center of our campus at Earlham College, here in Richmond, Ind., is called The Heart. So when the eclipse went total they played "Total Eclipse Of The Heart". It was a memorable day.

We watched totality from Greencastle Indiana. Used a Canon EOS R5 and 100-590L lens. Still need to edit photos. Enjoyed your video!

I was supposed to see 20^ in Seattle, but we had clouds. I just chaulk it up to the oh well, category over here.

@3:37........I didn't realize it was your yard that moved in front of the sun and caused the eclipse. 😁 I think the eclipse back in 2017 or whenever it was, was more impressive than this one was. We had about 98% coverage in our area and it never got all that dark like the last one, and for sure we had one when I was young that got a lot darker here. I can't remember what year that one was, but you would have been alive at that point, though maybe quite young yet.

What better place to view it than Dark County Ohio! One question, did the birds stop chirping ? In 2017 we went to Idaho Falls Idaho to watch and they stopped making noise. In a couple of You Tubers I've watched yesterday the birds sounded like they do at dawn, extra noisy. How were they there?
It got pretty quiet and I don't remember the birds singing through it.
