I really hate to say this but I think they might be a tad bit prejudice. I’ve heard people say it but they did not have examples. You some great examples. I don’t ever plan on sailing with them. I don’t like the way you all were treated.

I love cruising with Princess when it's just my husband and I or with a group of friends. The treatment that we receive is always the best. It helps that we've reached the tier of their Captain's Circle and we book suites. We cruised Royal Caribbean when we traveled with our two children, who are now adults and started cruising RC with our granddaughter. She prefers Princess because she likes the kid's activities better. The itinerary matters though. She's done Alaska and several European and Australian destinations. I no longer take Caribbean cruises preferring to just fly to my favorite islands instead because I find the crews to be not as experienced or polished. The Sun is a new ship and the crew is still working things out, but no excuse for rude treatment. The people that annoy me most on Princess are those nosy passengers that want to know how and why you have access to the same services as them. They do more gatekeeping than the crew! Either way, no matter your loyalty status or stateroom grade, you should be treated with the utmost respect and care.
The overall experience on just day 2 especially kids camp breaks my childhood heart. My first cruise line was Princess when I was a preteen & teenager sailed 2 summers in a row. The kids camp along w/ the crew members were part of the reason I grew a love for cruising. I’m so sorry to hear this. Hopefully they are taking notes and reevaluate who they are staffing.
Jazzy and Rich ... I'm so sorry you had to go through that with the kid's camp. My children are grown now ... but Disney Cruiseline, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean gave and honored their time frame for when my children were dropped off. It's literally critical that those services are honored, for not only the safety for the children, but for the full cruise experience for the parents. SHAME Princess...

I used to work on Royal Caribbean as a youth staff and it is listed that the kids club is open until 1am or until the last child has been signed out. That is messed up that there were still kids in the facility and they didn’t let you sign your kids in. The staff was being lazy and they was “hoping” that the parents of the kids who were still there was going to pick them up soon. I would’ve checked back 30 min later and see if there was kids still there and be like I thought they were being signed out. Also Princess has been known to discriminate in the past especially among their crew. Same job but different pay depending on where you come from. Not sure if they still practice that, but a staff member who came from Princess to Royal told us that.
I Love when you said " guest services, and you don't know? What are ya doin there?!" Lol, I love it and agree so much👍👍👍. That's there job to know basically everything. Sorry that happened.
We cruised back in the day with our 6 children often. The way it was set up is we did have to let them know by a certain time of day, and there was a fee for late night group sitting. However, it was always clearly posted and in the daily planner thingy. They would also explain that there was a minimum number of children required. I feel there was a lot of miscommunication. Princess needs to work on their postings to communicate well with the parents. One of the employees should have explained the policy more in depth.

My girls aren’t younger anymore but I totally agree with Rich & Jazzy. You are paying premium prices for all services that are provided on the ship. Therefore barring some catastrophic event the services should be provided and the hours are the hours. It wasn’t as if you were asking for special services outside of the scope. You were asking for the minimal services that should have been provided period
One major factor for me personally is the child care/ programs on all cruise lines. I look forward to the experiences with my son. However adult time is very important for all parents. That’s why these services are provided. I had a horrible experience when my son was 3yrs old on NCL. That really made me hesitate cruising with them again but I have he’s older now. Now the others have been spectacular with the child services.
The website re babysitting only says - Is there babysitting available on board? Yes. Camp Discovery and Beach House Teen Lounge is open during the day and evening for your convenience, on sea days and port days. From 10PM - 1AM, we offer group babysitting in the centers for kids ages 3-11 for $5 per child per hour. ...The pamphlet you showed in the video does say that you have to "sign up in the Youth Center" but it does not state that you had to "pre-sign up" by a certain time for babysitting so that is something that Princess should be able to clarify for you and also perhaps also change the wording in their pamphlet if there is a cutoff time to pre-set up babysitting
My personal experience this past summer on the Emerald Princess was good for the most part. However, I've never sailed with small children on Princess. Some staff members could use extra training in customer service for sure. Princess is not my favorite cruise line, but overall, I enjoyed the ship, activities, and food options. All guest service members provided an excellent experience. I would try them again in the future but really want to sail Virgin next!
Bull crap on the kid's camp. On the steakhouse, I have a feeling that Princess is going to have trouble giving everyone premium service when they priced the premiere at such a good price. I'm hoping a lot of things are better now that they have been sailing in the US forca few weeks. I know they had a lot of new crew members when you were on. I also think they were use to how people cruise in Europe. That kids camp better be ready for this Thanksgiving group because I know they are diffinatly going to be their past 10pm.

I am so sorry these events happened to you on the Princess Cruise Line, from the steak house to the evening kids camp. I agree, the workers in the night kids camp had all the opportunity to tell you and other parents the camp will close early. Don't they have an app or can't they send a letter around stating there will be a change in the time for the kids camp? I know for sure if you owe them money they know how to send a letter to your cabin. As for the dinner, they were not accommodating at all. Rich said it right, some of the guest services workers need to go back to training. I don't want to pull the race card but Princess need to get their act together. You pull at least 200 to 300 cruisers on your group cruise and plus your channel holds over a 100K! Princess you need to fix this!
It's a shame the Specialty Steakhouse evening & the kid's camp didn't go according to plan. I hope you were able to get some type of resolution for those disruptions. 28:31 Jasmine, and Rich I have no kids but I’ve traveled with many and have used the camp. I totally agree with the way you are feeling. I would’ve have felt the agree too. If you say 10pm to 1am, I should be able to drop the kids with no issues, even if they happen to the only ones there. I just returned from the ICON of the seas, my niece was dropped off from 10pm to 1am slot, she happened to be the last one left when we picked her up, they called us 15 to 1am because she got bored and was crying that the other kids had left. We heard her crying but by the time we got there it was just about 12:59 anyways, she was okay and they kept her entertained.
That was a horrible day at sea experience. There is disconnect with guest service and I guess the rest of the ship. Every one should have been on the same page whether it’s updates or changes. I hope someone from Princess Cruise lines are watching the video and is taking notes because this cannot happen again in the future. Very unfortunate for you guys. I’m so sorry about that experience too.😢
Yea seemed like it was everyone’s first sailing meanwhile they have been sailing ok Europe some the spring. They just don’t have a clue about their own policies onboard
My 1st cruise was with Princess, and I was not that happy with them although I fell in love with cruising. I did feel if I had kid's they would not be the cruise line I'd choose. I've ever heard you guys seem so irritated with a cruise line. That says alot
I get the feeling Princess doesn't have it together on the Sun Princess. The reviews aren't good overall. Sometimes, it's better to stay away from new ships until all the kinks are worked out. And just because it is new doesn't mean it is well designed, either. It may have been a completely different story on a Regal class ship. Most of the mass-market cruise lines can lay an egg, not only Princess, and I think you can get a better representation of the product with a different crew and ship.

If they had turned me down, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my children. Just a trust issue. They should have honored the time that was displayed. Sorry that this happened to you guys.
I hate that this was y'all's experience with Princess. We love it, however we also said we wouldn't do Sun Princess, because we appreciate the older ships more. Sun seems to try to move in a direction they aren't really known for IMO. While families are welcome on Princess, the older ships don't have all the bells and whistles that attract families in droves. Sun was built for that trying to go head to head with the newer ships and I just don't think that's what they are good at and a shorter sailing makes it even worse. Now as far as the Kid's camp goes, that's just bad service, period.
We spent 21 nights on Sun Princess and have to say as loyal Princess cruisers Sun is by far the worst ship we have ever sailed on she looks beautiful but thats where it ends the main pool area is way to small for a ship that size crowded all day and not once were we able to get a deck chair there as people were claiming them as early as 6 in the morning also hardly ever had Movies under the stars instead loud thumping music all day long inside its so crowded everywhere and none of the bars really have there own space its all open plan with ques of people walking past all the time while you are trying to have a drink the atrium is just loud music all the time so much so it can be heard in other parts of the ship people with cabins near by complained they couldnt sleep because of it The ship feels like Princess trying to be a Carnival fun ship its a crowded party ship in reality
for them to be owned by carnival.....ive been looking at them sideways for diversity! melinated people have green money that spends also. a meeting needs to be had at the top and new policies implemented. even the website isnt welcoming.
That’s not ok for them to not allow the girls to be signed in within their advertised babysitting hours. Oh… and guest services??? What kinda answers were those??? I understand it was a new ship/new sailing, but at least check if you don’t know the information… you’re guest services… you’re supposed to help guests with information! Sheesh! Wow! I think you were experiencing discrimination at both the steak house and the kids club. For guest services to not even pretend to care about what happened at the kids club was wrong. I think early in the video you even mentioned that they didn't respond to meeting with you guys as top travel agents whereas Virgin's CEO was welcoming a meeting. You pay more , much more for any of their spots compared to Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Carnival, Holland and MSG cruise lines. Celebrity may be on the same scale. Maybe that should be your next trip. Princess cruise hosted the syndicated series call The Love Boat. Back then all of the duties in the ship were deligated by nationality. So they were very racially divided. It seems like they still extend their racial inequities to their money paying customers. The only color they should honor is green. You need monetary compensation for the lack of service, period!!!!

My kids were there in the kids' camp. They met the girls and loved the kids' camp, I just wish they had better hours. This was our second cruise ever.

Our last Princess cruise was trash. We felt gouged and barely had a decent meal the entire cruise. Never again.
They have potential but seems like you have to pay for specialty dining…must be friends with MSC cruise line lol
28:31 Jasmine, and Rich I have no kids but I’ve traveled with many and have used the camp. I totally agree with the way you are feeling. I would’ve have felt the agree too. If you say 10pm to 1am, I should be able to drop the kids with no issues, even if they happen to the only ones there. I just returned from the ICON of the seas, my niece was dropped off from 10pm to 1am slot, she happened to be the last one left when we picked her up, they called us 15 to 1am because she got bored and was crying that the other kids had left. We heard her crying but by the time we got there it was just about 12:59 anyways, she was okay and they kept her entertained.
Yea Princess kids camp seem to have problems following their own policies, if they even know what that is

That was a horrible day at sea experience. There is disconnect with guest service and I guess the rest of the ship. Every one should have been on the same page whether it’s updates or changes. I hope someone from Princess Cruise lines are watching the video and is taking notes because this cannot happen again in the future. Very unfortunate for you guys. I’m so sorry about that experience too.😢
Yea seemed like it was everyone’s first sailing meanwhile they have been sailing ok Europe some the spring. They just don’t have a clue about their own policies onboard
My 1st cruise was with Princess, and I was not that happy with them although I fell in love with cruising. I did feel if I had kid's they would not be the cruise line I'd choose. I've ever heard you guys seem so irritated with a cruise line. That says alot

I get the feeling Princess doesn't have it together on the Sun Princess. The reviews aren't good overall. Sometimes, it's better to stay away from new ships until all the kinks are worked out. And just because it is new doesn't mean it is well designed, either. It may have been a completely different story on a Regal class ship. Most of the mass-market cruise lines can lay an egg, not only Princess, and I think you can get a better representation of the product with a different crew and ship.

I hate that this was y'all's experience with Princess. We love it, however we also said we wouldn't do Sun Princess, because we appreciate the older ships more. Sun seems to try to move in a direction they aren't really known for IMO. While families are welcome on Princess, the older ships don't have all the bells and whistles that attract families in droves. Sun was built for that trying to go head to head with the newer ships and I just don't think that's what they are good at and a shorter sailing makes it even worse. Now as far as the Kid's camp goes, that's just bad service, period.

We spent 21 nights on Sun Princess and have to say as loyal Princess cruisers Sun is by far the worst ship we have ever sailed on she looks beautiful but thats where it ends the main pool area is way to small for a ship that size crowded all day and not once were we able to get a deck chair there as people were claiming them as early as 6 in the morning also hardly ever had Movies under the stars instead loud thumping music all day long inside its so crowded everywhere and none of the bars really have there own space its all open plan with ques of people walking past all the time while you are trying to have a drink the atrium is just loud music all the time so much so it can be heard in other parts of the ship people with cabins near by complained they couldnt sleep because of it The ship feels like Princess trying to be a Carnival fun ship its a crowded party ship in reality
for them to be owned by carnival.....ive been looking at them sideways for diversity! melinated people have green money that spends also. a meeting needs to be had at the top and new policies implemented. even the website isnt welcoming.
That’s not ok for them to not allow the girls to be signed in within their advertised babysitting hours. Oh… and guest services??? What kinda answers were those??? I understand it was a new ship/new sailing, but at least check if you don’t know the information… you’re guest services… you’re supposed to help guests with information! Sheesh! Wow! Sorry you guys had that disappointing experience, but thanks for sharing so others know what to expect.

I think you were experiencing discrimination at both the steak house and the kids club. For guest services to not even pretend to care about what happened at the kids club was wrong. I think early in the video you even mentioned that they didn't respond to meeting with you guys as top travel agents whereas Virgin's CEO was welcoming a meeting. I hope you get some resolution to this! Your family is beautiful!!
You described several examples of ineptitude and downright lack of concern for customer service. I have never heard a guest services person say "ask them" NO, I'm asking YOU guest services person! Why are you even there? None of those people should have jobs. I would contact the CEO via Linkin, post this to your feed, and tag them. They have some nerve treating you like this!🙏🏾

I feel like this cruise line owes y'all money!!!! They screwed up the most important night on the ship!!!!! Princess Cruise line is definitely not cheap. You pay more , much more for any of their spots compared to Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Carnival, Holland and MSG cruise lines. Celebrity may be on the same scale. Maybe that should be your next trip. Princess cruise hosted the syndicated series call The Love Boat. Back then all of the duties in the ship were deligated by nationality. So they were very racially divided. It seems like they still extend their racial inequities to their money paying customers. The only color they should honor is green. You need monetary compensation for the lack of service, period!!!!
