how much is his rent...that's one of the nicest places I've seen there, usually expats find westernized modern cookie cutter type places. Like your informal style.
Never been asked for 500 when parking a bicycle apart from once I was asked outside a major supermarket and I thought eherm no.Big supermarket chain and jobs worth and probably on good salary for that company than other khmers. They left it at that. Not a big deal but pay 1,000 or even give $2000 if parked of an evening outside a cafe or bar at night though. It is well locked up by myself. So I won't drive up prices.

16:43 I went there the other day. Her business is on the other side of the market entrance. Prices are foreigner friendly. And the woman is cheerful, just like in the video. There is a single table behind and to the left. Drop in and say hello. I'm sure she'd be happy to chat.

Cambodia was interesting to check out but I felt bitter and angry my entire time there due to the racism. When I would approach anyone, they'd immediately speak English saying Hi/Hello without even asking if I speak English. I just found it so revolting and presumptuous. If I responded in another language, they still would not give up and would keep insisting I must be American or whatever by speaking English without being polite enough to EVER ask if I speak it. I took a 2 week intensive Khmer course with the plan to take more, but when i realized how unwilling they are to treat me like a normal person and say any single word in Khmer I left town. I also tried Kampot and the Vietnam border with similar experiences of people being so arrogant with their English. I guess there is no solution to this right? They're just nasty like that? I may look white but people in Korea or China or Ukraine or Panama address me like a normal human being first, THEN they might try English second when and if I don't understand.
Go to Korea China Ukraine Panama then, English is one of the common languages spoke worldwide it is what is. They could simply ignore you or swear at you 😊 quit whingeing
