Just to point out that Chloe is not Dan's ex-wife. They are not divorced. The fact that they are still legally married, have a child, and Dan really wants to work things out is why he keeps giving his opinion about Chloe's life decisions. Just because they don't really talk about it all that much it's easy to forget they're not divorced.
It makes sense why Lucifer won’t take advantage of The Detective, it’s about the hunt as well as the kill for him, metaphorically lol. And also not even the devil would take advantage of a drunk woman, you love to see it
I love this series, and while it is campy and silly at times... and as you commented this episode, it has fairly frequent situations where the writers ask us to stretch our willing suspension of disbelief a bit too far... the quality of the supporting cast absolutely amazes me. I love Tom. I love Lauren. But honestly, I couldn't begin to pick a "favorite" from this cast. I'm no expert, my acting experience is limited to high school theater, but almost all of them seem very talented to me. I know that my bias, enjoying the characters so much, might be coloring that perspective, but that's what I think. My tolerance for ridiculous stories is pretty high, but I do have two rules. 1 - Be internally consistent within the universe you've created; and 2 - Make the character's motivation reasonable... from that character's perspective. Because of that, I forgave the "Trixie gets an Uber and is across town in two and a half minutes" thing a pass. I assumed that it was caused in editing... they cut short the dialogue between Chloe and her mom in post... but I understand why it bothered you. As aired, it is jarring, for sure. Please stop jumping on men for "perceived" injustices and realize men get the short end of the stick MUCH more than women. 30% of children in the US have the wrong father on birth certs, 40% of men on woman assaults are proven to be initiated by the woman. You get custody 90% of the time no matter what even tho ALL studies show kids turn out better with the father. I could go on, but I am not gonna lay wast over a simple comment. Please just see both sides. Love your reactions other that your bias toward men. Hopefully it does not affect my want to watch your videos. Just FYI 60-70% of utube content and watching of content is by men. They should be your target audience.

He was actually spending all that time protecting his family, and after he was gone - He was doing his best to protect Chloe from the ppl Malcolm used to deal with, and trying to keep out of jail so he could raise his daughter(after he had to shoot Malcolm to save Chloe). I don't like how Dan keeps right on assuming the worst about Lucifer. In the start it made absolute sense, but at some point it's obviously just about jealousy. Yet regardless of that, and how simple minded he seems - I still hate these even simpler and more incorrect takes on the man... I'm fine with you not liking him(hell even I don't really like him), I'm not fine with you constantly blaming him when he's not at fault... Like when Lucifer brings someone suspected to have murdered his own family with poison, to the cook for him and his family - And he calls him dangerous. That is PERFECTLY reasonable to call him at that point. Especially from the little he knew about the case. Frankly, at this point it seems you're happy to blame him in every fight, just because you think he's not charismatic... That's... Scummy, to be frank. With Chloe, one can at least sympathize here, because she didn't have the "behind the scenes" info that we have. But you do have that info, and you're still taking that same stance... I totally believe Trixie could have done the Uber thing. My sister has twins and when they were younger they did all kinds of things you would think were not possible. Like unlocking the porn network on cable. Ordering stuff through the iPad ( had to put a password on my Itunes account for that reason). You would be surprised how fast kids figure stuff out at that age or younger.
I remember figuring out how to record my cartoons on the Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) when I was a little kid. I recorded them when my parents were still asleep early on Saturday mornings. By age 12, I was already using an Apple computer in the class room in 1988.
My five year old learned the combination to unlock the TV. And my 10 year old was telling me about VPNs (though in that case it was because he watched a lot of ads for them on UA-cam)
Well, I think it's also that how would an Uber get there in the 40 seconds they were arguing. I also think it's crazy a driver would take a child without question to a bar, lol. (would've loved to see that conversation honestly) xD If I were an Uber driver I would've called the phone number and ask them if they were supposed to be picking up just a child.
the uber thing that worked you up would work here in Austria. i had ubers that arrived within 1-2 minutes (you have to be lucky and in a bigger city, but it does happen), ubers would take a child with them, especially if the uber was paid with the mothers phone (so its likely the mom wanted to have a uber-delivery of the child to somewhere (its completely normal here for children that age to ride on trains or buses completely alone). But i guess its a nogo for america.
It was cut from the episode (though there was a publicity photo), but Trixie actually had her birthday in this episode... She's 7 in the pilot, so this should be her 8th birthday. (It's possible they skipped right to 9 to better match the actress. She was missing her front teeth in the pilot, but not in the 2nd episode.)
There will be several attractive actresses/characters appearing throughout the show, but the most attractive one is Aimee Garcia/Ella Lopez. Three more episodes without her, and then her charisma will add a lot to each one of the following 80 episodes. The best pairing of actor and character is obviously Lucifer, but hers is a match made in heaven too.
Dan already thought Lucifer was dangerous. Was made pretty clear in previous episodes. He does not think he is dangerous because he wants to sleep with Cloe. And to be fair to Dan, he is absolutely right.
Yep, Luci's impulsive, reckless and keeps putting Chloe in dangerous situations either because of it or cause he's bored and seeking a thrill. I love the guy but Dan is absolutely justified in this case.
I don't think anybody hates when you do only one episode. Two episodes is more fun, but one episode at the time is still very enjoyable. You just keep with the show. It gets even better.
